As a Trainee Floating Support Worker, you will travel across London to meet clients in their homes and communities, tackling housing issues, supporting health and wellbeing, and helping them achieve personal goals. The work is varied, fast-paced and deeply rewarding, with every shift – whether early mornings, late evenings, weekends or bank holidays – bringing the chance to see real change happen.

With SHP, you are never on your own. About you:

You do not need to have previous or formal experience working in the homelessness sector or in a support role. We are seeking people with transferable skills and experience gained from a varied background, who will demonstrate a commitment and passion for the work that we do. You will be ready to learn on the job and we will support you to develop your own learning and practice through a structured programme and teamwork.

We are looking for people who are creative thinkers, that are committed and motivated in inspiring our clients into leading successful lives.  In return, we will provide you with a comprehensive and engaging Trainee Programme. Involving ongoing support, trainee specific workshops and plenty of opportunity to learn on the job through formal training, reflective practice, service visits and working with experienced colleagues. About the Role
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP is the leading UK charity delivering health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement, in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) and Lebanon 

To provide a high standard of executive and personal assistance to the CEO. The role will be varied and will suit somebody with experience in supporting senior executives, excellent multi-tasking and combining an eye for detail and the ability to see the ‘bigger picture’. The right candidate will be efficient, diplomatic and have interpersonal skills to deal with senior staff and trustees. 

About You
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an Executive Assistant to a senior executive. Excellent communication skills, including a high standard of written and spoken English. Self-motivated, flexible, discrete and able to make judgement calls as to when to take the initiative on the CEO’s behalf. Experience in preparing meeting agendas and minute-taking.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Complex diary management for the CEO, liaising with multiple stakeholders for timeslots and rescheduling appointments.

• Handle internal and external enquiries in a professional, confidential manner; dealing with these to conclusion where possible, or referring them to the appropriate person.

• Monitoring CEO inbox to flag urgent emails and highlight unanswered emails.

• Take accurate minutes of regular and ad hoc meetings as requested by the CEO, monitor progress on agreed actions and follow up with action holders directly as necessary.

• Manage and organise Monthly All Staff meetings, Weekly Update meetings and other meetings requested by the CEO, and ensure all audio/ visual set-up is working, and agendas are updated.

• Manage arrangements for incoming visitors (from MAP’s overseas offices and external), arranging meeting schedules, and assisting with travel and hotel bookings.

• Organise venues, flights, accommodation, visas, meals and taxis for SMT offsite workshops and Project based workshops for CEO, SMT members and the participating MAP staff.

• Manage expenses and credit card statement invoices of the CEO.

• Review expenses, leave requests and other items that need CEO approval, as requested by the CEO, and make recommendations to the CEO

• Ensure various email distribution lists / Teams groups are up to date and IT issues are resolved.

• Responsible for collating data from stakeholders and drafting the Weekly Newsletter.

• Ordering and managing stock of stationary for the UK office and workshops.

• Organising social events for the UK office (including yearly Christmas event)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Working to specific income targets, the Supporter Engagement Manager is responsible for acquisition campaigns including regular giving, direct mail appeals, online fundraising, legacys;  retention campaigns including ongoing stewardship to increase supporter engagement. You will grow relationships with supporters and work closely with wider fundraisering team to devise and execute creative and effective stewardship journeys. You will have a sound understanding of fundraising membership schemes and sector regulations, with knowledge of best practice CRM and/or fundrasing database.

The Supporter Engagement Manager will work with the Senior Head of Supporter Engagement to develop the strategy for increasing income across all individual giving streams and then work with the Marketing and Communications Manager and the wider team to impliment it. You will play an instrumental part in creatively engaging supporters to get involved in our high-value campaigns, events and regular giving programme. This includes our annual matched-funding campaign and reoccuring giving programmes, which last year raised £1m and £150k respectively. The post-holder will be key in taking the Individual Giving programme to the next level, providing proactive engagement opportunities and efficiently work with data to provide timely, targeted, relevant and engaging communications to our various supporters.

The Youth Employability Service

CXK delivers the Youth Employability Service (YES) across East Sussex, commissioned by East Sussex County Council. We offer information, advice, support and guidance to young people in academic years 12 and 13 who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), helping them to explore their options, plan and then take their next steps. We also work with schools supporting young people in year 11 who are at risk of becoming NEET. Liaising with a range of other services, YES is focussed on supporting young people to achieve their potential.

The Team

The YES team support young people from across the county, seeing them at CXK bases, partner venues or in community settings. The team assess and action plan with young people referred to the service, supporting them to understand their options and take steps toward achieving their goals around education, training and /or employment. Working with a wide range of young people, the team approach is focused, creative and persistent, building on young peoples’ confidence and motivation alongside their skills and personal growth.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Skills and Employability Adviser.

You will support a caseload of young people aged 16 to 18 with part of your caseload being Care Experienced young people who are either not in education, employment, or training (NEET), or at risk of becoming NEET. You will guide them through re-engagement with suitable post-16 provisions and provide targeted intervention to those who have withdrawn from or not started their Post 16 provisions.

Working across the East of the county with schools and FE Colleges you will play a key role in ensuring that young people —particularly those with Care Experience, receive the tailored guidance and support they need to progress confidently into further education, training, or employment. Your work will align with East Sussex’s Virtual School and Through Care team. You will build positive working relationships through co-located working, and accurate input into relevant databases.

You will maintain regular contact with the young people you support, building trust and ensuring that casework is delivered with care and consistency. Your role will involve assessing needs, action planning, reviewing progress, and adapting support as required. You'll also act as a champion for relevant opportunities and resources—ensuring young people, parents, providers, and wider stakeholders are aware of what’s available and how it can help.

About You

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience working with NEET, Risk of NEET young people or with Care Experienced young people, who understands the post-16 education and training landscape and the importance of person-centred support. You will be a confident communicator and collaborator, able to manage a varied caseload and make a genuine impact on the lives of the young people you support.

With an ambitious plan to grow our income from Individual Giving, it's an exciting time to be joining Age International.

In this fixed-term role, you will support the Direct Marketing Manager - Loyalty to manage the donor loyalty programme. You will develop and manage existing and new supporter communication programmes growing loyalty in our supporter base. The aim is to maximise the value of our long-term relationships with individual supporters.

This role is a varied one, with superb development opportunities. As part of a small team, you will be responsible for the print-based communications we send to our supporters but also email production with the view of developing the loyalty digital journey. Furthermore, you'll contribute to the development of our legacy and in memory activities, and high value offer. You'll also have the opportunity to support the supporter acquisition team on projects to gain new donors. Consequently, the role gives you the opportunity to grow your experience in supporter acquisition, as well as loyalty. And you will play a key part in delivering emergency appeals - when the work that you do will have a direct impact in saving older people's lives during a crisis.

As we continue to develop our Individual Giving strategy, you will have the chance to be involved in new initiatives and communications.

We offer hybrid working, with a minimum of one day a week in our London office - One America Square (EC3N 2LB) and the last Thursday of the month in the London office. We are looking for a Health Information Officer to develop engaging evidence-based information for the public and key professionals on cancer risk, prevention, early diagnosis and screening. Cancer Research UK is the most trusted provider of cancer information in the UK and you will be responsible for helping steer what we say and how we say it, ensuring our health information is evidence based, accessible and credible.

What will I be doing?

• Developing a sound knowledge base of key research relevant to cancer risk, prevention, early diagnosis and screening

• Taking the lead on appraising and critiquing evidence for specific topic areas, including contributing to team discussions and written summaries for these topics

• Producing internal evidence summaries/briefings on topics related to cancer risk, prevention, screening and early diagnosis, as required

Our No Cold Child initiative with FatFace stepped in to address a stark statistic: over 150,000 children in the UK do not own a winter coat due to poverty. Through our trusted relationships with schools we distributed 10,000 warm, high-quality coats worth £600,000 to the children who needed them most. Winning the Business Charity Awards ‘Fashion & Retail’ Award, and shortlisted for two further awards, the campaign has been praised not just for providing warmth, but for restoring dignity, inclusion, and school readiness to thousands of children.

The All Dressed Up campaign—developed with World Book Day and Rubies Masquerade—confronted the often-overlooked issue of financial exclusion on key celebration days. More than 100,000 free dressing up costumes worth £1.34 million were delivered to children from low-income families. By enabling participation in events like World Book Day, we helped spark imagination, joy, and belonging for children who might otherwise feel left out—boosting self-esteem and supporting a positive connection to learning.Furthermore, helping attract children into school on a day which often sees struggling parents keep their children at home.

Alongside these national campaigns, Parentkind supports families year-round through a growing suite of programmes designed to inform, prepare and empower parents. Our Be School Ready programme offers crucial guidance and confidence to parents preparing their children for the leap into primary education. With a mix of practical advice, developmental tips, and reassurance, through the distribution of 150,000 copies of Be School Ready and an online campaign, it supports families at one of the most formative moments in their child’s life.

We also deliver a wide-ranging series of live expert webinars and parent-friendly resources, covering topics such as managing anxiety, supporting special educational needs, navigating school transitions, and building home-school partnerships. These resources, developed in consultation with experts and rooted in lived parent experience, equip families to feel informed and empowered, no matter what challenges arise.

Our direct support of schools

Our collaboration with Asda on Cashpot for Schools is another example of unlocking support at scale. This innovative community-led funding model allowed shoppers to nominate and fund their local schools simply through everyday spending. This campaign has generated £5.78 million for schools during the past twelve months, supporting everything from basic classroom supplies to vital extracurricular programmes and pupil wellbeing initiatives. Also shortlisted for a Business Charity Award, it is already a model for community-driven philanthropy.

In April, we launched our Parent-Friendly Schools Accreditation Programme, designed to formally recognise schools that go above and beyond in fostering positive, inclusive relationships with parents. The accreditation celebrates schools that actively listen to parent voices, make engagement easy and accessible, and embed family partnership in their culture. It is a practical and inspiring tool to drive long-term change in the sector and offers a roadmap for schools wanting to strengthen their community.

Our focus on Policy & Research

Our work is grounded in evidence. Since 2023, we have conducted the UK’s largest annual parent survey: the National Parent Survey. With approaching 6,000 participants providing 130,000 bits of data to provide invaluable insights into the struggles, concerns, hopes and fears of parents. The findings are fed directly into government consultations and have already informed national debates on school funding, attendance, mental health support, SEND provision, and curriculum reform.

In each of the past two years the number of policymakers, educators, parents and researchers accessing the National Parent Survey exceeded seven thousand, and the survey featured in more than two hundred media outlets each year.Excitingly, the Times & Sunday Times are partnering with Parentkind to raise the profile even further in September 2025 and the survey will be launched at a lighthouse event featuring the Secretary of State for Education (Bridget Phillipson), the Ofsted Chief Inspector of Schools (Sir Martyn Oliver), the CEO of Mumsnet (Justine Roberts), the Children’s Commissioner (Dame Rachel De Souza), and our own Chief Executive (Jason Elsom). 

In addition to the National Parent Survey, Parentkind undertakes representative polling of parents throughout the year on a variety of important topics, which increasingly find exposure in the media and policy discussion.

Parentkind provides the secretariat for the Westminster APPG for Parents and the Stormont APG for Parental Participation in Education. Two very successful parliamentary groups bringing together policymakers and a variety of stakeholders to consider the challenges faced by parents and act as a voice for them through a variety of policymakers.

Our Media Engagement

Since becoming recognised as the UK’s largest parent charity, with likely more groups and frontline volunteers than the Scouts or Girlguiding, Parentkind has gained increasing prominence in the media.Beyond the reach of the National Parent Survey and our regular polling, Parentkind receives frequent requests for quotes of reflection and input by media in relation to their journalism and from Government and non-Government entities in support of policy announcements.

Beyond this, the Parentkind community of volunteers and PTAs share local or regional media announcements of their own.Whether or not it celebrating the completion of large projects they have invested countless hours and thousands of pounds into realising, or the community event they have worked into the night to deliver for their school communities.

It will be your role to take this much further, gaining increasing exposure for the work of Parentkind, its community, and parents more broadly.

· Help to draft parent polls and reports with a focus on compelling questions that will hit the front page. We need a brilliant writer, able to turn facts and figures into engaging narratives with bold headlines and strong messages that catch the eye. Boring writers need not apply…

· Draft eye catching press releases with bold headlines and a compelling narrative to promote the work we do across the charity. You’ll also place the press releases with national journalists leading to high profile coverage.

· Support the authoring of articles, op-eds and blog posts by members of the Executive Leadership Team.

· Be responsible for media monitoring, measuring our media hits, and reporting on coverage and interesting themes for the Executive Leadership.

Your mission is to massively increase our online, in print and social media presence to make us the highest profile parent charity in the UK. We don’t need you to be an education expert, we need someone to get us on the front page.

About the Role

As Retail Area Manager, you'll be responsible for leading and supporting a portfolio of approximately 10–15 charity shops across your region. Impatience Earth is a non-profit climate philanthropy consultancy founded in 2020 with a mission to educate, challenge and inspire wealth holders to take bolder funding decisions to address the climate emergency.

We have a role available for someone to join our small but mighty team to deliver high-level support to our CEO and Deputy CEO, helping them achieve their strategic priorities by managing their calendar and emails, supporting them with prioritisation of tasks and managing key projects. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Head of Fundraising will contribute to upReach's mission by meeting financial targets, recognising when to make the fundraising ‘ask’ and leading the annual budget process. You will use clear, creative written communication to produce convincing cases for support, represent the charity at relevant networking events, work closely with the upReach Development Board and act as an ambassador for the organisation.

Reporting to the Director of Income Generation and External Engagement you will manage three direct reports and support individuals participating in the Future Charity Leaders Programme (upReach’s graduate scheme). • Determine and manage the operating systems needed to deliver activity and enable effective donor, supporter and volunteer relationship management. 

• Effectively develop the donor journey.

• Ensure records in the CRM are up to date.

• Conduct analysis of data from across functions responsible for, drawing conclusions, making recommendations to the Director. 

• Ensure the management of systems and processes comply with the organisation’s data protection obligations, charity law and other legal requirements.

People Management and Team Working

• Recruit and lead the Fundraising team, rotatees and volunteers as required.

• Ensure upReach promotes a high performance culture and professional integrity.

• Continue to develop the skills and knowledge of you and your team to ensure you are up-to-date with changing regulation and fundraising best practices.

• Lead and model the implementation of business improvement and people development initiatives including training and rotations.

• Collaborate with colleagues across the department and organisation.

Major Donors and Individuals

• Develop and implement fundraising strategies to grow income, including an annual appeal. 

• Work with the CEO, nurture relationships with donors including high net worth individuals maintaining the highest level of donor care.

• Research, identify and engage prospective donors to secure 5 and 6 figure gifts.

• Lead the team to grow and develop the burgeoning major donor portfolio. 

• Work with the Alumni Team to identify opportunities to sustainably grow the individual giving pipeline, including beneficiaries. 

• Develop a legacies strategy and oversee delivery of awareness campaigns.

Events

• Lead the team on the delivery of a sector-leading events portfolio, to include income-generating events, and the Student Social Mobility Awards (SSMA’s).

• Engage, steward and motivate key stakeholders including the Development Board, Patrons, potential event committee members and other high value volunteers to grow our network and deliver successful fundraising events.

Trusts, Foundations & Corporates

• Oversight of Trusts, Foundation & Corporate fundraising strategy.

• Work with the Senior Fundraising Manager to identify and build relationships with Companies, Trusts and Foundations which are mission and/or programme aligned.

• Collaborate with the Head of Partnerships to build strategic relationships with companies that grow philanthropic and commercial income. 

• Support the acquisition of new, multi-year philanthropic funders and existing donors.

Other

• Regular out of office work may be required in order that the organisation is able to deliver on its commitments to its stakeholders

• Some UK travel will be required from time to time

Whitley Fund for Nature (WFN) is a UK charity supporting grassroots conservation leaders across the Global South. Through project funding (Awards), training, and media profile, we support local solutions to the planet’s most pressing conservation challenges. Our winners are courageous changemakers, working alongside communities to save species and protect ecosystems. Established in 1993, we have channeled £24 million to +220 conservation leaders in 80 countries, benefitting wildlife, landscapes, and people. We fund mainly in Africa, Asia and Latin America where income is often hardest to raise and can have the biggest impact for people and biodiversity. WFN is governed by a committed trustee board. Our team is dynamic, passionate about our mission, and ambitious. The charity benefits from high profile support from Patron, HRH The Princess Royal, and Ambassador Sir David Attenborough.

Our funding is raised each year, mainly from family trusts and foundations, as well as from individuals, corporates, and international NGOs, with a current annual income of around £2.6m/year. The Opportunity

We are looking for a diligent and data-minded Grants Assistant to join our small and dynamic team. This new role will support the WFN grants team in monitoring and evaluating active grants, analysing and assessing the charity’s impact, and in the smooth running of our grants programmes. This is an entry level role, ideal for a candidate looking to put their conservation expertise into practice, and to support impactful grassroots conservation work around the world.

The Grants Assistant will support the Head of Grants and Grants and Network Manager in WFN’s application and review processes, grant management, and impact evaluation work, and will support the flow of information about the work our winners are doing on the ground to the rest of the WFN team. GRANTS ASSISTANT - PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

Essential:

· MSc or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g. Conservation/ Zoology/ Environmental Science)

· Demonstrable understanding of grassroots conservation projects, issues and solutions (ideally in Asia, Africa, Latin America)

· Data-minded and analytical, with solid understanding of evaluation methods and trends

· Strong writing skills with ability to turn technical reports and language into accessible content for a lay audience

· Efficient and organised, with high attention to detail and ability to manage logistics

· Proficient and comfortable using databases

· Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint

· Flexible ‘can do’ approach and will flourish in a small team and charity environment

· A knowledge of and passion for wildlife conservation

Desirable:

· Experience working and/or travelling in the Global South

· Experience of event organisation

· Experience using Salesforce/CRM databases.
