About the role:

As a Team Leader you will be:

• Ensuring the effective delivery of services to victims in accordance with the London Adult Service against contract specifications, operating procedures, confidentiality, information sharing and safeguarding policies.
• Lead the caseworker team, ensuring victims receive timely, professional needs and risks assessment and referral to appropriate support, assuring the quality of service provision.
• The role will work collaboratively with the Operations Manager/Management team, in order to achieve the implementation of business plan and the development of the service to maximise positive outcomes for clients.
• The role will focus on performance management of their reports including auditing cases, allocation of cases and input into performance reporting.

Our operations team is led by the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and includes the finance and bookings & venue teams. This is a newly created role that will report directly to the COO and work closely with the wider operations team.

Scope of role

The Senior IT & Operations Officer is responsible for leading the central coordination of IT operations, managing key relationships with two main contractors (IT and estate management), and ensuring seamless integration of IT infrastructure and estate management services. This role involves overseeing the effective and efficient functioning of both IT systems and estate operations for Toynbee Hall and Toynbee Trading, while prioritising the safety of staff and stakeholders on-site. The officer will proactively identify opportunities for improvement, resolve issues, and maintain a collaborative working environment to support business continuity, operational efficiency, and safety standards across all operational areas. Additionally, they will support the procurement of IT and estate-related items, such as IT kit, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of required resources.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Information Technology & Systems

• Support the COO and wider SMT with all IT related strategy including procurement and streamline of new IT service provider/s. Including setting up KPIs’ and using these to assess performance.
• Manage the setup of new staff – including the procurement of equipment required for the role – this includes all communication tools.
• Managing the relationship and being the key point of contact with the technology suppliers and technology support providers.
• Identifying cost savings/efficiencies in the tech stack.
• Supporting IT KIT refresh plans and purchase, this includes audit of needs and vendor negotiations and lifecycle planning with the COO.
• Leading on regular assessment of IT and systems needs for all services and administrative staff.

Facilities, Health and Safety & General Administration

• Act as the main point of contact with our property management company. Work with the COO to escalate issues.
• Book in contractors and maintain all required documentation in conjunction with other key stake holders (property manager/agent).
• Be the escalation point for maintenance issues, liaising with the property management company to make sure that issues are dealt with in a satisfactory manner.
• Work with H&S consultants and property managers to ensure all relevant training is planned for and carried out and Risk assessments are being completed and used.
• Work with HR to ensure that all relevant training is planned for and carried out.
• Maintain records for all mandatory tests in conjunction with our property agents.
• Liaise with the Events and Venue Manager to ensure building management is always in place, keyholding, security etc.

Projects

• Manage ad hoc projects on behalf of the operations team; such as refurbishments, implementation of printer management.

General

• Building good working relationships across the organisation
• Representing Toynbee Hall to external audiences
• Developing an open and ‘critical friend’ dialogue within our programmatic work
• Undertaking any other appropriate responsibilities that may arise such as top up of franking machines, and general administrative orders as needed.

The Community Engagement Officer will play a crucial role in delivering the Dementia Community Champions (DCC) programme for Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK). Launched in 2022, the programme aims to disseminate dementia information to underserved communities who face barriers in accessing health and research information and are at higher risk of dementia. The programme to date has focussed on South Asian communities, working in Leicester, Nottingham and Derby. In 2026 the programme will expand into Black African and Black Caribbean communities in East London. With the programme expanding, the Officer will have significant scope to support, shape and develop this important area of work.

Dementia Community Champions are volunteers trained by Alzheimer’s Research UK to deliver events in their communities to increase knowledge and understanding of dementia, brain health and dementia risk factors. They also emphasise the importance of taking part in research in their local communities.

They do this by, attending training sessions run by the team, holding events to share dementia information, sharing leaflets and other resources, speaking to local people about their experience of dementia and signposting them to appropriate support.

In the role as Community Engagement Officer, you will assist in the recruitment, training and support of the volunteers to deliver their activities and events. We are looking for a confident and friendly, organised and proactive person to join the team. You’ll be part of the Information & Involvement department, whose mission is to improve understanding of dementia and the diseases which cause it and encourage and support the public and people affected by dementia to get involved in research. The department forms part of the Policy, Communications & Involvement directorate and works closely with colleagues both within the directorate and across the charity.

This is a 12-month FTC.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Day to day support of volunteers

· Assist in the recruitment and management of DCC volunteers, ensuring a smooth onboarding process and volunteer journey.

· Act as a point of contact for DCC volunteers, providing guidance, support, and timely responses to their enquiries.

· Empower volunteers by helping them build skills and confidence to talk about dementia and dementia research, and to engage effectively with their audiences.

· Plan, facilitate, and deliver monthly online meetings. This includes coordinating with volunteers, arranging logistics, addressing queries, and liaising with internal stakeholders.

 

Comprehensive admin support

· Provide comprehensive administrative support for the programme, including assisting volunteers in organising and evaluating their events.

· Collect key metrics from the programme to monitor progress and evaluate activities.

· Maintain relevant files and documents, ensuring accurate recording of data and adherence to GDPR.

 

Support the delivery of Dementia Community Champions in underserved communities.

· Assist in the development and delivery of DCC training and ongoing support to volunteers to hold their own events.

· Act as a champion for DCC across Alzheimer's Research UK, effectively communicating the importance, successes and challenges of the programme. Share insights and support colleagues across ARUK in their efforts to reach underserved communities.

· Collaborate with the DCC Manager to produce ongoing evaluation of the programme. Proactively suggest new initiatives and continuous improvements.

 

What we are looking for:

· Science graduate or equivalent level of education (biomedical or biological subject) or equivalent level of worked experience.

· Experience of discussing health or research with the public.

· Experience of communicating complex health information in a simple and accessible way.

· Awareness of current topics in dementia and dementia research

· Understanding of GDPR and information governance.

· Demonstrated experience in providing comprehensive administrative support for programmes or initiatives.

· Experience of working with and supporting volunteers.

· Experience of partnership working with external organisations to deliver programmes.

· Effective written and spoken communication skills.

· A confident, friendly, and professional attitude; would feel at ease representing the charity to a range of audiences.

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

We are working with one of our well-established healthcare sector clients to recruit an additional Clinical Senior Buyer to support the expansion of the Procurement team. ABOUT THE ROLE 

The Women Transport Workers and Gender Equality Officer will play a fundamental role in leading and developing strategies on organising and increasing collective bargaining and leverage for women transport workers, on behalf of the ITF. 

At the direction of the General Secretary and Executive Board, the Women Transport Workers and Gender Equality Officer will be responsible for leading the ITF’s Gender and Equality Programme. The role will be focused on developing leading campaign strategies to organise women workers and increase the capacity of our affiliates in this area. It will strategically engage with ITF affiliates, donor organisations and other relevant stakeholders to deliver projects globally, which includes managing relationships with multinationals to improve the state of gender and equality matters across transport supply chains.

This role will have accountability for the management of relevant staff of the Women’s Department, as well as budgeting and planning for all development initiatives. 

ABOUT YOU

Scope of role

The Debt Advisor is responsible for providing comprehensive, face-to-face debt advice to over-indebted Londoners, tailored to their specific circumstances. This role involves conducting detailed interviews to understand clients’ financial problems, researching options, and helping clients make informed decisions. The advisor ensures income maximisation and provides ongoing casework support, acting on behalf of clients where necessary. Maintaining up-to-date case records and staying informed about relevant legislation, policies, and procedures are crucial aspects of the role. The Debt Advisor is also expected to complete continuous professional development and contribute to the team’s overall objectives by meeting targets, prioritising workloads, and demonstrating financial efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Accurate, effective and individually tailored advice

• Interviewing those that access our service using sensitive listening and questioning skills to allow them to explain their problem(s) and empower them to set their own priorities.
• Researching and exploring options and implications so that those accessing our service can make informed decisions.
• Ensuring income maximisation through the appropriate take up of income, including those relating to water charges benefits tax and housing.
• Providing in-depth quality advice and on-gong casework, including acting for the client where necessary using appropriate communication skills and channels.

• Maintaining detailed case records, ensuring that all work meets all auditing and quality standards and the requirements of the funder.
• Ensuring all case records and written up in a timely manner.

Up-to-date training

• Completing a minimum of 16 hours/ equivalent of technical debt advice DPD accredited training or qualifying activity.

We’re looking for a dedicated Service Manager to lead our specialist 18-bed 24/7 Complex Needs hostel in Camden. Leading a team of Project Worker Complex Needs, Specialist Multiple Disadvantage Workers, Trainee Project Workers, an Apprentice, ETE Worker, Night Concierges, and locums - the service supports individuals who have experienced significant disadvantage. This includes long-term rough sleeping, substance use, severe and enduring mental health issues, involvement with the criminal justice system, and self-care challenges.

This is not a typical hostel service - it is a dynamic, intensive, and highly specialist environment requiring compassionate leadership, robust risk management, and strong inter-agency collaboration. You will be at the forefront of driving a psychologically informed and trauma-responsive service that not only provides accommodation, but creates a platform for meaningful recovery, connection, and progress.

As Service Manager, you will lead a skilled team in delivering high quality, person-centred support and accommodation. You’ll be responsible for staff development, operational oversight, risk management, partnership engagement, and ensuring compliance with service specifications and safeguarding standards.
