About the Department/Role

Role Description
You would be responsible for:
- ensuring that gifts left to Animal Aid in wills are handled efficiently and sensitively, liaising with solicitors and executors to ensure income is received promptly and correctly recorded
- growing our legacy giving programme by building relationships with supporters who are considering leaving a gift in their will and overseeing legacy marketing campaigns, working with colleagues
- reporting on legacy income and forecasts to feed into our future strategy
- working with the fundraising team on department tasks
Ideally, you would have experience with legacy fundraising, but we are open to experienced fundraisers who are looking to move into legacy giving. Training will be given.

About the role:
This is a home based role that will include travel across England and Wales when delivering training. You will be working within a specific project that delivers learning externally to other organisations outside of VS. Your primary goal will be to design and deliver high quality learning interventions based on what our customers need.
As an External Trainer you will:

The Organisation
Action on Disability (AoD), founded in 1979, is one of London’s leading Disabled People’s Organisations (DPOs). The Project
Our Place is a project that is facilitated and managed by AoD. It is a 3-year National Lottery Community fund and Propel London funded project that will sit within our Independent Living Service. Our Place creates a community space and resource hub that Disabled people can call their own – led by them and facilitated by AoD staff. This service will be genuinely embedded in the local area, meeting needs expressed by local Disabled people to have their own place, and building links with amenities, businesses, and event spaces in Hammersmith and Fulham.
We want to enable businesses to feel more confident to welcome Disabled people and remove barriers. We want to create an inclusive and accessible space for Disabled people to socialise, build skills, pursue interests, and develop peer relationships.
Our Place operates alongside, and enhances, our current service provision. Central to this is ensuring that Disabled people have meaningful ownership over the space, from Steering Board input to operational delivery.
Disabled people will achieve their potential through four outcomes:
- Increased confidence, knowledge, and skills through opportunities to lead, learn and do new things.
- Reduced isolation and improved mental well-being through a place to socialise.
- Equity of access and participation in the local community.
- Mitigation of the pandemic’s impact, through building new opportunities.
The Post
We are looking for a full time Project delivery support officer with a commitment to the vision of AoD to promote Independent Living, Peer Support and Co-production within this project. You will have strong community project delivery, administration and support skills, good written and oral communication skills, and the ability to support the project and work effectively as part of a team. Your working hours will be dependent on the Our Place project activity schedule and may include early evening and weekend work.

Refuge is recruitment for a Senior Policy and Research Officer to join it's successful Policy and Public Affairs Team.
The Senior Policy and Research Officer will be responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative research on issues affecting survivors of domestic abuse and propose robust, evidence-based policy recommendations as well as analysing policy developments and producing briefings, reports, and consultation responses to influence public policy. The successful candidate will bring excellent policy analysis, data analysis and research skills as well as strong communication and project management skills.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with survivors of domestic abuse to shape Refuge's policy programme to drive system change to end Violence Against Women and Girls.

As an Advocacy and Support Officer, you will provide one-to-one support to people facing immediate crises or longer-term challenges. You’ll work closely with individuals—often in their own homes or community settings—to help them navigate complex systems and build more stable, independent lives.
In the main people we support are Irish or of Irish descent including the Traveller Community, particularly those who find it difficult to access mainstream services. However, our services are open to all.
You will be delivering advocacy and representative services in order for people to secure welfare benefits, better housing conditions, enabling people to access the financial benefits they are entitled to. This will include supporting people experiencing mental and physical health issues, substance misuse, facing legal issues, those who require debt management, threatened with eviction, domestic abuse, and bereavement.
Additionally, as part of this role, you will be working across the whole service in supporting our focus on early intervention and prevention.
As part of the wider ICCM team you will help to inform and actively support community-based advocacy, awareness, and public campaigns to increase knowledge and education of the community on how to access help, and the availability of support which is open to people as needs develop.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual advocacy and outreach support to vulnerable adults facing health, housing, legal, and social challenges
- Carry out initial assessments and develop care/support plans
- Deliver advice on benefits, housing, finances, and access to services
- Accompany clients to appointments and act as their representative with agencies
- Make appropriate referrals and work in partnership with statutory and voluntary organisations
- Maintain accurate records and input into the case management system
- Contribute to community outreach and education campaigns
- Attend training, team meetings, and supervision sessions

About this key role
As our Senior Caseworker, you will work with participants to agree and regularly review an action plan and help them to carry out actions on their plan via delivering one-to-one and group motivational advice and guidance. We will count on you to provide effective leadership, support and guidance to a team of Peer Advisors in the delivery of flexible services to individuals with complex needs to improve their employability skills and help them move into sustainable employment.
You will also be expected to organise the promotion of the project, coordinating the recruitment and engagement of participants and ensuring each participant has a comprehensive initial assessment of their employment and wider needs, plus develop excellent relationships with colleagues and local stakeholders and identify wider local services that can provide support to participants.
What we are looking for
• The ability to assess the needs of vulnerable clients and provide client-led support to address these needs in a variety of ways
• Thorough understanding of the principles of needs and risk assessment, and care co-ordination/planning, and the ability to coach others in these skills
• Proven record of supervising and supporting a team of volunteers to deliver positive outcomes for vulnerable people
• The ability to use monitoring systems to record all aspects of project activity
• Experience of maintaining accurate financial records and evidencing all spend
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

As the Triage and Administrative Assistant, it is your role to support the KCLSU Advice service to deliver high quality support to students who need help with issues impacting their studies. This will be done by ensuring excellent management of the Advice shared inbox, consistent record keeping using our case management system and communicating with both students and staff about our service. KCLSU Advice often supports students experiencing difficult circumstances and so as a team, we work effectively and empathetically.
You will need to be confident in understanding complex policy and processes to ensure students are triaged appropriately and efficiently, enabling advisors to provide timely and tailored support.
Key responsibilities include;
- Supporting and completing a variety of administrative tasks relating to the KCLSU Advice service, in particular triage and casework.
- Maintaining accurate and consistent record keeping including using the Case Management System
- Administrate the KCLSU Advice inbox including processing referrals, removing duplicates, providing initial responses and flagging urgent queries.
- Representing KCLSU Advice at occasional outreach events to raise awareness of our service and educate students on the support offered.
- Provide administrative support for the Student Panel Volunteer project and any other relevant KCLSU Advice related projects
- Developing and maintaining up to date knowledge of the Advice Service procedures and practices and incorporate them into work effectively.
- Being a proactive and solution focused team member to support the service to meet student needs, particularly during busy periods.
