Job Title: Fundraising Manager

Reporting: to Chief Executive

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Part-time role, 32 hours a week

Location: Mostly home-working with regular visits to The Avenues, London W10.

Job purpose

· Forward-plan funding streams to ensure a smooth and regular flow of income that meets The Avenues’ budget (currently £1.2m p.a., much of which has been secured for the next 18 months).

· Develop existing and new relationships with funders to maximise immediate and long-term income for the organisation and its various projects.

· Write compelling proposals and applications that secure significant income from trusts and foundations, coordinating input from across The Avenues team.

· Research and identify new prospects from a diversity of sources with a view to securing medium and large grants for The Avenues.

Accountabilities and responsibilities

·  Identify and develop opportunities from a range of trusts, foundations and grant-making bodies.

· Draft, submit and manage the progress of all funding applications for The Avenues’ priority projects (approximately 30-40 applications per year).

· Develop fundraising proposal budgets in collaboration with Programme and Finance colleagues, ensuring needs are accurately costed and aligned with donor requirements.

· Work with colleagues to develop new project ideas that fit within The Avenues’ organisational goals and within budgets that meet funders’ criteria.

·  Handle the post-grant paperwork, notifying the team and updating our records.

· Develop and manage positive relationships with funders, including necessary communications with grants officers, potential major donors, corporate donors and community supporters.

· Manage the pipeline of applications and fundraising database; providing financial reporting and other management information to colleagues on a timely basis.

· Work with the Chief Executive, trustees and community volunteers to help organise our fundraising events (dinner-auction, party, quiz night, marathon). Assisting with the smooth-running of these events, including writing and producing communication materials.

·  Write the quarterly email newsletter for our supporter mailing list.

· Manage and optimise the charity’s CRM system (Beacon), ensuring fundraising contact data is accurate, well maintained, and used effectively.

· Perform other duties as required by the Chief Executive to the overall direction and running of the charity and develop productive relationships with external stakeholders.

Experience and skills

·  Excellent writing skills with the ability to write concise and creative bids.

· 3+ years’ proven track record in a fundraising position, with a focus on trusts/foundations and public sector income streams.  (Or, you may equally have experience in sales and marketing in a commercial environment.)

·  Skilled at budgeting and presenting financial information in easy-to-understand formats.

·  Relationship builder and collaborative worker.

·  A creative and proactive approach to problem-solving

·  High standard of software literacy (Office software, Mailchimp and internet).

·  Highly effective verbal communicator, able to build rapport quickly and engage a wide range of stakeholders with confidence and credibility.

·  Degree or equivalent relevant qualification

Finance Manager (Part-Time)

Hours: 16 hours per week (hybrid working, with at least 50% of time in the Guildford office)

Oakleaf Enterprise is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our team. This is a key role within the organisation, working closely with the Chief Executive, Trustees and wider Senior Management Team. You’ll oversee all financial activity, ensure compliance with Charity SORP and relevant regulations, and support the organisation to operate efficiently and responsibly.

About the role

You will lead on all financial reporting, planning and compliance, and ensure financial information is accurate, timely and useful for decision-making. You will also manage one member of staff (Finance Administrator) and work with colleagues across the organisation to support budgeting, forecasting, project costing and grant applications.

Key responsibilities

Board & Leadership

• Advise the CEO and Board on all financial matters, ensuring all legal and financial requirements are met.
• Attend Board and relevant sub-committee meetings.
• Provide financial input for the Strategic Business Plan and other analysis as required.

Reporting

• Prepare and present monthly management accounts, including variance analysis, restricted/unrestricted funds and balance sheet reporting.
• Lead the year-end process with external accountants, including audit/independent exam planning, reconciliations, site visits and production of Financial Statements.
• Work with the CEO and department leads to prepare the annual budget and provide variance analysis for Board approval.
• Produce a six‑month reforecast.
• Monitor restricted funds and update the Fundraising and Client Services teams.
• Track reserves and ensure adherence to the reserves policy.

Tax

• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, ensuring correct application of partial exemption rules.
• Review gift aid and GASDS claims to ensure compliance and maximise income.

Payroll

• Ensure compliance with pensions, NMW and tax regulations.
• Oversee P11Ds and payrolling of benefits (where applicable).
• Support and oversee the Finance Administrator with SAGE payroll and keep up to date with relevant tax/employment law changes.
• Review payroll before submission.

Other responsibilities

• Manage high‑level cashflow and work with the Finance Administrator on daily cash monitoring.
• Line-manage the Finance Administrator.
• Support departments with project budgets, cashflows and grant applications.
• Develop and update financial systems and controls as the organisation evolves.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure cost‑effective purchasing (including IT, utilities and contracts).
• Contribute to the wider SMT.
• Maintain the chart of accounts in SAGE and ensure monthly reconciliations and journals are completed.
• Keep up with CPD requirements.
• Carry out other duties as required.

Essential criteria

• Experience working in a charity, with strong knowledge of Charity SORP (old and new).
• Experience using SAGE 50.
• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA).

This is an influential and relational role for someone who can combine theological understanding, financial insight, and strong communication skills to help parishes identify and overcome potential barriers to generosity and grow in confidence around Christian stewardship.

About the Role

You will support parishes and diocesan colleagues in building a culture of generosity and sustainable giving. Your key responsibilities will include:

· Leading the development of a culture of generosity and mutual support across the Diocese

· Teaching and speaking in parishes, deaneries, and online gatherings on Christian generosity and stewardship

· Has significant experience in fundraising, ideally within a Christian charity or similar context

· Has experience working with high-value donors and developing giving strategies

· Understands the theology and biblical principles of Christian generosity and stewardship

· Is confident in teaching, preaching, and communicating about giving in a range of contexts

· Has strong interpersonal and negotiation skills and can motivate others to embrace new approaches

· Has a strong understanding of finance and the ability to analyse giving trends and data

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join an award-winning team to develop and deliver a programme of activities to improve outcomes for children living in families where there is conflict and separation. Our Linkwork Child Contacts can be from private clients, solicitors on behalf of clients, local authorities, courts and CAFCASS (Children and Families Advisory and Support Service).

A degree in Health & Social Care or equivalent would be advantageous, and experience of working with children or families is essential. Must be willing and able to work Tuesday to Saturday each week. Experience in managing a team and good organisational and report writing skills are also essential. You will manage your own case-load and have the ability to work on your own initiative.

As a Project Co-ordinator you will co-ordinate and manage the team for the children-centred sessions. The team will be exploring children’s emotions with the aim of strengthening and improving family relationships for the benefit of the children and improving confidence and coping skills.

You will be managing the team and co-ordinating contacts to support families to improve parenting and communication skills, ensuring their approach is child-centred.  You will also be a facilitator at times for supported and supervised contact sessions and be able to prepare reports for the courts and social care teams.

You will manage your own case load and have the ability to work on your own initiative.   A degree in Social Work would be advantageous.  Good organisational and IT skills are essential.  Must be willing and able to work Tuesday to Saturday, with the possibility of some evening hours for the needs of the service as the centre develops.

The Role

This is predominantly an office-based role working closely with the Finance Manager and under the guidance of the CEO, with a strong focus on:

• Bid writing, tender submissions, commissioning applications and grant funding

We are looking for a dedicated team to deliver person centred and bespoke trauma informed support to vulnerable women in Luton. This new service will provide a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for women facing sexual exploitation and substance dependency – a place they can truly call home. Through stable, person-centred care, you'll play a vital role in empowering women to rebuild their lives and embrace brighter futures. 

In this role, as a Support Mentor, you will work within a 24 hour service which provided person centred support to our residents, working to ensure the safety and wellbeing. Our residents have experienced multiple forms of exclusion, such as historical/ongoing abuse, involvement in the criminal justice system, mental health challenges, drug and/or alcohol dependency and enduring high levels of violence and coercion. You will build trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations.

 Responsibilities Include:

• Holding a caseload, conducting key work sessions which are personable to resident needs
• Carry out regular welfare checks, safeguarding checks, and general living checks
• Encourage residents to take part in activities and events both within the service and the community
• Keep support plans up to date on a regular basis
• Work closely with the rest of the team to provide overall excellent service delivery, this may mean also supporting with their caseloads, and other tasks as necessary
• Building trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins.
• Focusing on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals

Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse AAFDA

Remote – Based in Scotland with regular travel across Scotland

Salary – £33,000 pa

Full-time

Fixed term for 12 months (potentially 36 months dependent on funding)

AAFDA is a growing charity, and we are looking for a specialist Children’s Advocate to be based in Scotland. Although home based, travel will be required across Scotland. We welcome applications from candidates who are registered social workers and who have professional experience of working with people who have experienced domestic abuse.

AAFDA was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.

Scotland is expected to introduce Domestic Homicide and Suicide Reviews (DHSRs) in April 2026. We are looking for a candidate with a good understanding of the Scottish legislative system and good understanding around domestic abuse and how it impacts on children to join our growing charity. Each year, in Scotland, around 25 families lose a loved one to fatal domestic abuse, perhaps one third of this number being domestic homicides and the others being suicides following domestic abuse. The actual number of domestic abuse related suicides remains unknown.

Many of these families suffer significant problems including relationship breakdown, job difficulties/loss and mental and physical health issues. The Children’s advocate will provide expert advocacy, specialist peer support to children, and other services, helping them practically and emotionally. This may include helping them to contribute to DHSRs and providing opportunities to recover from harm for example via trauma therapy and other services.

Through trauma-informed approaches, you will help the children bereaved by fatal domestic abuse:

-To enhance their voice after fatal domestic abuse including by helping them to contribute to domestic homicide and suicide reviews and formal / informal meetings with various professionals.

-By providing residential peer support events, or access to these events for both the children and their carers.

-Via virtual support tools and other resources.

-By developing pathways into groupwork programmes for carers of bereaved children.

-Cope and recover by direct support and by linking into other services, for example, specialist trauma therapy.

We have a unique opportunity to join Oasis Hub Lord’s Hill as part of our work with students and families. This role will create real impact in the Lord’s Hill Community by working alongside our Academy colleagues to support families of Oasis students and the wider community. Helping more families to engage with support and provision, including the therapeutic space of our city farm.

You’ll need to be an effective communicator and ready to work with some of our hardest to reach families with drive and initiative. The successful post holder must have:

· Experience of family support

· Experience of managing and working with volunteers

· Good project management skills, able to balance a range of priorities.

You will support the Financial Accounting and Control team to maintain a robust internal control environment, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the ledger and monitoring compliance. You will take primary responsibility for ensuring that the month end close process is tightly controlled and managed, ensuring the completion of all relevant balance sheet reconciliations and other control processes to maintain the integrity of finance data on a monthly basis.
You will also support the preparation of the annual financial statements for the NCIs and their subsidiary companies, taking responsibility for some of the subsidiary entities, and working with the Senior Financial Accountants (who each focus on different NCIs) to support with the more complex accounts. You will also be closely involved with the external audit process, supporting the Senior Financial Accountants with the management of audit requests and queries.
You will work collaboratively with the rest of the Finance Accounting and Control team to develop a high-quality finance service to the NCIs, including best practice external reporting, robust balance sheet controls and compliance, timely and accurate period-end processes, and effective banking and cash management.

As a newly qualified or part-qualified accountant, you will have strong financial accounting skills and a good understanding of the financial control environment. You will be a confident Excel user and be able to quickly manipulate high volumes of data efficiently and build reports which can be quickly and easily produced. You will also have good attention to detail, able to identify anomalies and issues, and adopt a thorough and diligent approach to resolving them.
An effective communicator, you will be able to explain financial issues to non-finance staff and to help people to use financial information well. You will deliver relevant training and support across departments to help improve financial literacy and ensure compliance with relevant financial control procedures. You will be someone who is always looking to improve processes and worker smarter, collaborating with your finance colleagues to drive best practice in everything we do.

About the Role
As Head of Partnerships and Fundraising, you will lead the development and delivery of an ambitious income generation and partnership strategy for the National Landscapes Association. This is a pivotal senior role, focused on securing and growing diverse funding streams, including corporate partnerships, philanthropy, grants and strategic collaborations to support the long-term resilience of the organisation and the wider National Landscapes network.

You will drive new business, negotiate high-value partnerships and oversee a strong pipeline of opportunities, while leading and supporting a high-performing Development Team. • New business development: Drive the full partnership lifecycle from prospect identification and relationship building through to proposal development, negotiation and deal closure for high-value opportunities.
• Partnership development & stewardship: Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with funders and partners, ensuring high-quality account management and delivery against agreed outcomes.
• Team leadership & performance: Lead and support the Development Team, setting clear objectives, fostering a positive team culture, and ensuring delivery against income targets and pipeline goals.
