Role and Responsibilities
As a key member of our small, friendly staff team, you will lead the development of fundraising from individuals, businesses, trusts and foundations, and community groups. You will also take a leading role in shaping how we share our story. You will represent the Foodbank at community events across the region, building relationships with schools, churches, associations, local groups and businesses. Your role.
As the Communications Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the charity’s communications strategy to raise awareness, increase engagement, and grow support for our vital work. You will manage all external communications across multiple platforms, including social media, website, email marketing, and events, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand voice. You will work closely with the Individual Giving Manager and Fundraising Officer to drive impactful campaigns. Additionally, you will play an essential role in promoting and protecting the charity's brand.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Individual Giving Manager will lead the development of Kids Cancer Charity’s first comprehensive individual giving programme, building all activity from the ground up. This includes designing compelling supporter propositions, establishing donor journeys, and creating engaging campaigns that drive acquisition and long-term support.
A key part of the role will be scoping, procuring, and managing external suppliers, agencies, platforms, and partners required to deliver individual giving products and activity. This includes the development and future launch of new income streams for Kids Cancer Charity, such as a charity lottery, as well as regular giving, legacy marketing, and in-memory giving opportunities.
The postholder will play a central role in shaping the future of supporter engagement at Kids Cancer Charity, introducing best practice, ensuring strong stewardship, and embedding a supporter‑centred culture across the organisation.
