‘Generous Giving’ is a small but vibrant and established team that is part of the wider diocesan Mission and Ministry Team, under the leadership of the Director of Mission and Ministry. The focus of Generous Giving is to work with parish leadership
teams (both lay and ordained) across the diocese to develop and promote a clear vision for Christian giving by building on and encouraging a culture of generosity and enabling giving through a variety of mechanisms. This includes helping parishes to createan annual giving strategy that supports their local vision, as well as the diocesan vision and sustainability
through the parish share mechanism.

The Generous Giving Adviser will work proactively across the whole diocese to encourage the uptake of proven resources that support local parish funding initiatives including; regular giving, digital and online giving, legacy funding, grant application strategies and the use of financially efficient schemes such as Parish Buying. The Generous Giving Adviser will also promote, nurture and teach on Biblical generosity using existing discipleship resources.

This post is funded by the Archbishop’s Council via the Church of England’s National Giving Strategy. As such the successful applicant will receive additional support, resources and encouragement though the National Giving Network. This includes annual conferences, regular CPD training and an online community that meets each week.

About the Role

The Upper Room (TUR) supports individuals experiencing homelessness, poverty, social exclusion and involvement with the criminal justice system. Through UR4Meals and UR4Driving we provide practical support, dignity and opportunity to some of the most disadvantaged members of our community in West London. 

We are seeking an experienced Trusts and Grants Manager to take full ownership of and grow our most important income stream.

Trusts and foundations account for over half of our income, and we have an established portfolio of funders alongside several multi-year grants. This role is central to maintaining that income and driving its growth.

• Direct experience securing funding from trusts and foundations; applications without this experience will not be considered
• Demonstrable track record of securing five-figure grants (and ideally multi-year funding)

About the Role:

You will provide high quality support to all victims of APV/CPV, leading on completing initial impact and risk assessments that are comprehensive and holistic. You will also provide cover for the local VS Helpline.

Please note that due to the nature of the contract, an IDVA qualification is considered an essential requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess the risks and needs of APV/CPV victims using an evidence-based risk identification checklist.
• Focus on and prioritise high risk cases and provide a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service. Deliver individually appropriate tailored support and information, advocacy, and practical support.
• Work with victims of APV/CPV to assist them in accessing services to keep them and their family safe. Develop individual safety plans to meet client's needs as identified in the risks and needs assessment.
• Ensure each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs, keeping complex needs central to all processes and decisions.
• Work within the legal framework relating to the protection of children and vulnerable adults, including the policy and procedures of the Local Safeguarding Adult and Children's Boards.
• Providing advocacy and information to victims including exploration of legal and civil options, housing, health and finance and support clients through the criminal justice system.
• Support the empowerment of the client.
• Comply with data protection legislation, confidentiality and information sharing policy and procedures, as well as all legislation connected to your work.

About you:

You will need:

• A good command of the English language both verbally and in writing.
• A good understanding of APV/CPV and/or domestic abuse including the impact of these on victims and their children.
• Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children.
• Understand Safeguarding issues and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues
• Direct service delivery experience to victims of domestic abuse or APV/CPV
• Experience of working within a multi-agency and legislative framework
• Experience of managing a complex caseload, to prioritise work and deal with competing demands
• Strong crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations
• Good communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals

Key Responsibilities

1. Income Generation

· Maximise fundraising and revenue opportunities through community engagement delivering a number of community based initiatives to generate income over the year.

· Lead on delivery of the fundraising strategy to maximise funding opportunities.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Dementia UK as a Mass Participation Manager (Engagement) where you’ll shape how we connect with and inspire mass participation supporters, ensuring every interaction is meaningful, timely and drives long-term engagement. You’ll lead a talented supporter facing team, optimize supporter journeys, and use data-driven insights to grow income and maximise lifetime value.

You will be responsible for the stewardship of supporters taking on a virtual event or Dementia UK owned product. The virtual events portfolio at Dementia UK consist of a series of month-long challenges that bring our supporters together online across the UK, for example our upcoming Walk 31 Miles in May challenge. The Owned Products Team is responsible for delivering key flagship events such as Time for a Cuppa, alongside other mass participation fundraising products at Dementia UK. Working closely with the Mass Participation Manager (Virtual Projects) and Mass Participation Manager (Products) you will drive excellent supporter experience, ensuring supporters are engaged, well-supported throughout their events, and motivated to continue their engagement with Dementia UK.

A part of this role will be project based, with the goal to develop supporter experience to build lifetime value of supporters by regularly reviewing stewardship journeys. You will also work with other fundraising teams to identify any other fundraising opportunities to continue the supporter journey after our virtual events to build supporter long term value. You will be managing a team of four and will support them with complaints escalation, first point of contact customer service with mass participation supporters, and identify areas of improvement with the team’s processes.

We are looking for you to have experience with high volume of supporter enquiries and some experience of managing a team or helping them to deliver excellent supporter or customer care, especially in busy periods. You will have experience of delivering supporter journeys and stewardships communications, as well as strong fundraising and stewardship knowledge to motivate, uplift and engage our supporters to build long term value with Dementia UK.

This is an opportunity to join a growing charity at a pivotal moment and play a key role in expanding a national programme supporting children and families across the UK. This is one of the charity’s first two hires and is a hands-on role in a small team.

MCKS Charitable Foundation works with schools to provide pantry and breakfast support to families experiencing food insecurity. We currently support over 180 schools and are now scaling our work towards 500+ schools nationally.

We’re looking for a Schools, Community & Impact Manager to help us strengthen our relationships with schools, understand how our support is being used, and capture the stories and data that allow us to grow our impact.
