To act as an enthusiastic ambassador for the charity; building strong relationships across a variety of networks to support and develop the public presence of the charity and community fundraising income. The role may involve evening and weekend working to support community fundraising activities and events, and working hours are flexible to reflect this.

Key Duties

Fundraising:

• Be the primary point of contact for new and existing supporters.
• Proactively look for opportunities to support and develop local fundraising initiatives.
• Develop and deliver a varied range of fundraising activities to a range of audiences, including events and campaigns.
• Act as an ambassador for the charity with local community groups and organisations.

• Support with e-commerce and support the enterprise team to maximise opportunities.
• Represent the organisation at networking events, meetings and other outside events, as necessary.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Have a sound education to A-level standard or equivalent.

Experience:

Skills:

Main Roles

• To provide advice and casework at OISC/ IAA Level 2 on immigration, nationality and asylum law.
• To provide supervision to Immigration Volunteers

Specific Duties

• Manage a complex caseload across the field of immigration, nationality and asylum law.
• Adhere to casework procedures as outlined in LRMN’s policies, the IAA standards and the Advice Quality Standards (AQS).
• Interview and advise clients regarding immigration and asylum law procedure, and practice in a sensitive and professional manner.
• Maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in line with IAA registration or similar professional body, e.g SRA.
• Keep up to date at all times with changes in the law by reading and attending training events relating to asylum and immigration.
• To maintain accurate and detailed case records of clients for the purpose of continuity of casework, information retrieval and statistical monitoring, using Advice Pro as appropriate and as required by management.
• Advocate on behalf of clients by telephone, letter and email with appropriate agencies.
• Produce reports to meet funder’s and LRMN requirements.
• Work closely with the Immigration Manager and/or external evaluator in gathering data and information to produce accurate monitoring and evaluation reports.
• To assist the LRMN in liaising with its partners, funders and to provide statistical information and updates as required.
• Work closely with the Immigration Manager in reviewing files and ensure that corrective actions are undertaken.

• Provide regular supervision to Immigration volunteers.

About the Role

As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for setting up and updating all property and resident accounts on the rental ledger system and for ensuring that rental income in correctly reflected on both the rent and finance systems on a timely basis.

You will work closely with project staff and housing benefit departments regarding rental income queries and ensure that rental income is received in accordance with the charity’s internal financial controls and all legal regulatory requirements are complied with. The role will involve some sales ledger work, under the supervision of the Rental Income Business Partner.

Some Key responsibilities include:

• Rental Ledger and rental collection

• Responsible for reviewing the rental income bank account and accurately reflecting all receipts onto the rental income system

• Identify any overpayments and request the necessary refunds

• Produce and send out monthly rent arrears and voids

What we are looking for

We’re looking for a highly motivated individual to play a key role in helping us grow our supporter base, communicate our impact and keep our operations running smoothly.

You’ll be someone who enjoys writing and communicating clearly, whether that’s through social media posts, stakeholder newsletters or event invitations. You’ll be confident using digital tools and keen to learn how to manage and improve our new CRM system and website content.

You’ll be a highly organised multitasker who’s excited to contribute across a wide variety of projects – from events and fundraising campaigns to charity research and donor stewardship. You’ll thrive in a small team, taking initiative and juggling priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

You’ll care deeply about climate and nature and be motivated to make a meaningful difference in this decisive decade for our planet. There will be opportunities to develop skills across all aspects of GRP’s work, with support from a collaborative and experienced team.

Skills required

Main duties and responsibilities

Communications (30% of work)

• Write and publish short regular newsletters for GRP’s stakeholders, including portfolio donors, wealth adviser partners and donors to operating costs.
• Manage and publish weekly content for GRP’s social media accounts, including LinkedIn and Instagram.
• Manage and curate content for GRP website, ensuring information is accurate, up-to-date and maximising opportunities to attract new donors and supporters.
• Coordinate with GRP’s third-party web developer on website maintenance and regularly re-evaluate site structure/functions to maximise its efficacy and usability.

Event planning (30% of work)

• Lead coordinator for in-person and virtual events, in line with events strategy devised by Strategic Relationships Manager.
• Lead event promotion and liaise with venues, speakers, catering, attendees, videographer, graphic designer, etc to ensure events are well-attended and well-run.

Research (20% of work)

• Drive ad-hoc research projects to support GRP’s partnership-building, core fundraising and portfolio selection/assessment efforts.
• Analyse potential sectors and charities for inclusion in GRP’s charity portfolio.
• Identify and research high-quality trust and foundation leads in line with core fundraising strategy.
• Identify and research high-quality leads for wealth adviser or other corporate partnerships.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM) (20% of work)

• Manage GRP’s new CRM system (Beacon) on behalf of team, ensuring the team uses the CRM system consistently, accurately, and effectively. No prior experience with CRMs required – training will be provided.

Transforming Lives for Good (TLG) are a national Christian charity working in partnership with local churches to bring struggling children hope and a future. Building on the huge success of TLG Early Intervention Coaching, TLG Therapeutic Support will be a new way for TLG, with partner churches, to provide support in school for the increasing number of pupils struggling to cope due to their emotional, relational, and mental health experiences. This programme addresses the underlying issues children are facing, whilst also providing the option of direct support to their parents/carers and the school staff team.

In this role we are looking for individuals with an accredited coaching qualification that thrive working with children and young people in a school context and are passionate about supporting pupils and their families struggling with emotional, relational, and mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for creativity whether this is music and drama, sport and outdoor recreation or other fields of kinaesthetic development. The TLG Therapeutic Coach will be present each week in the school, providing specialist trauma aware care for these children, whilst supporting staff and parents/carers too, so we're looking for an individual who can build and foster strong relationships.

TLG is a Christian charity and, as a team, we want to bring our faith to the work we do; as such, we are recruiting an individual with a strong and vibrant Christian faith. We would welcome applications from candidates from diverse backgrounds to enable us to better reflect the needs of the communities we serve.

Celebrity Officer.

Salary: c£30,300 per annum.

Location: Remote.

Contract: Fixed term Contract-12 months – 35 hours per week.

• Respond to celebrity requests from across the organisation, providing recommendations, advice and fulfilling signed off briefs. 
• Keeping an eye on the celebrity world for new potential celebrity supporters. 
• Collaborate with teams across Action for Children to develop innovative ideas and creative opportunities. 
• Write high quality briefings and pitches to secure support from celebrities, sports people, artists, and influencers.
• Collaborate with representatives from the PR team to develop communication plans which optimise celebrity support. 

Let's talk about you 

• Preferred professional qualification in Journalism/PR or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience and success in working with celebrities, sports people, artists and influencers and their agents to secure high level support for charity campaigns and events. 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, and excellent attention to detail.
