Training and Projects Officer
Location: The role is based at the Trust’s office in West Berkshire with a minimum of three days per week expected to be worked at our Newbury office. Flexible working arrangements are available with the understanding that this must meet the objectives of the charity and requirements of the role.

Purpose
This is an interesting and important position at the Trust, with the postholder taking responsibility for a range of administrative and project management tasks supporting our Education programme, working to both the Education Project Manager and the Trust’s Head of Programmes.
Our Education Programme is our body of charitable activity delivering training and resources appropriate for schools, colleges and universities, often working with education institutions to create a whole school/college approach to promote good mental health in students and staff alike.
The postholder will be the first point of contact for our training team, enabling our mental health training delivery to take place. There will be opportunities to play a key role in monitoring and evaluation, and obtain a good understanding of the sector. This is a key role in ensuring the Trust and its activities are serviced with robust, reliable and up-to-date evidence and information.
You’ll need to be confident in dealing with the charity’s delivery partners and beneficiaries, both over the telephone and face to face. You’ll enjoy working with and supporting our trainer and office teams, and be super organised and proactive. You’ll manage a varied workload, prioritising tasks as necessary, and will be comfortable communicating with a wide range of people at all levels. We have a small office team, and the successful applicant will need to be a flexible team player.
Key responsibilities and duties
- Work closely with and provide administrative support to the Education Programme.
- Support trainers with the day-to-day running of online and face-to-face courses and maintain effective communication links with the freelance trainers. The postholder is the primary office contact for the training team.
- Liaise with freelance trainers to provide logistical and technical support in the day-to-day delivery of training, Charlie Waller Trust (CWT) conferences and open access webinars.

Purpose of the Role:
Bow Foodbank is proud to have developed a highly trusted relationship with our guests and the community. We are often the first point of call for people when they are starting to struggle financially. We want to use our trusted place in the community to support our guests with more than just food, helping to connect them into a wide range of services and community groups - aiming to help guests to build their resilience and move them away from the causes of poverty. Carers’ Hub works to improve carers’ lives in Lambeth through quality services and community engagement. We are an independent local charity, who work with carers aged five upwards. - Hertfordshire Mind Network is proud to provide early intervention support to children and young people experiencing poor mental health across Hertfordshire. We provide a combination of support through psychoeducational workshops, open access, 1:1 and group support.
- We are expanding our provision, to offer drop in, open access community support to 10–18-year-olds across the county who need someone to talk to about their mental health in that moment. This space will offer timely support, in a person-centred, trauma informed way.
- The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Network’s Herts Haven Café service are:
- To improve the mental wellbeing of children and young people experiencing mental health issues, including crisis presentations, in Hertfordshire.
- To provide drop in, no referral required, timely support to 10-18 year olds.
- To support children and young people in Hertfordshire to access community based mental health help.
- To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided across the CYP MHS system.
About the Role:
The key purpose of this post is to be an integral member of staff delivering the Herts Haven Café service, facilitating drop-in mental health support for children and young people aged 10-18. As a practitioner you will meet the varying needs of the individual, as they present, meaning no day may look the same.
A person-centred approach will be maintained, and this role is pivotal to ensuring CYP have a warm and welcoming space to turn to. You will be working as a team to facilitate support, deliver brief mental health interventions, signposting, and ensure timely information, guidance and referrals are provided for ongoing support.

We are seeking an individual who will be immersed in the day-to-day running of Psychological Therapies and Wellbeing services at Mind CHWF and contribute to its smooth running and efficiency under the guidance of its managers. About the role
We are seeking an experienced and talented Head of Retail to lead the development and implementation of our new retail strategy and to lead and inspire the retail team. Our retail operation is a crucial part of our income generation strategy, contributing directly to the funding of our crucial services, but also supporting the delivery of the organisation’s strategy.
This is a very exciting time to join the team at Tŷ Hafan, as we have just launched our Big Ambition to support every family whose child’s life will be short.
In order to deliver our Vision of a Wales where no family faces the unimaginable loss of their child alone, we need to raise significantly more money. This role is crucial in helping us to do just that.
You will have the opportunity to lead the retail team to ensure our existing portfolio of 17 shops contributes effectively to the organisation’s strategy and will also take the lead on identifying and implementing opportunities to grow the contribution made by retail. This will include opening new shops and testing and evaluating new income growth opportunities. You’ll also have the opportunity to ensure that our shops play an effective role in inspiring people in Wales to support Tŷ Hafan in a variety of ways, and in ensuring that families are able to access our support when they need it.
The role has two work bases - one from head office in Sully, and the other is Home-Based. There is a a minimum requirement to attend our Head Office once a week, and the post holder will also be required to attend shops when required (being flexible to meet the needs of the Charity). The post-holder will also be required to work flexibly (including Saturdays as and when required), and undertake 1 in 3 weekends on-call cover.
