We are looking for a qualified professional to support our Finance Manager in day-to-day financial activities. The postholder will need to show attention to detail in the transactional management of finances. You will need to have a proactive and flexible approach to supporting different teams with their finance requirements. This includes raising purchase orders, invoices, travel bookings, budget responsibility, and report analysis.

This role requires you to be AAT qualified. You will also need considerable experience using Sage 50, Microsoft 365 and adhering to financial controls.

This role is full time and permanent. We operate a hybrid working model. You will be required at our Loughborough office two days a week, subject to agreement with the Finance Manager.

Corporate Partnerships Manager

The Corporate Partnerships Manager for our Fundraising team will focus and lead on:

• Managing your own portfolio of corporate partnerships
• Supporting the growth of our consultancy work stream
• Developing new corporate fundraising products and events

You will: 

• Account manage and build strong relationships with a portfolio of Corporate Partners with current value of four and five figures
• Manage a range of consultancy relationships from initial enquiry to project completion, working with colleagues across the charity
• Take a proactive role in growing the pipeline of new opportunities for the Corporate Partnerships team
• Manage incoming corporate enquiries, using your knowledge and experience to identify key opportunities
• Work with colleagues across fundraising to identify and develop new opportunities to engage corporate partners through products and events

This role is great development opportunity for someone looking for the next step in their corporate fundraising career, or for a candidate with transferable skills looking to move into the sector. You are likely to be an experienced fundraiser but could also be bringing skills from a marketing and communications or a B2B relationship management or similar background.

You are experienced in writing persuasively for a range of audiences. You are also a confident communicator, with the ability to lead meetings with senior stakeholders or present to a room full of people.

You are comfortable collaborating across teams, with experience of bringing people together to solve a problem or achieve a goal. You’ll be comfortable working to your own initiative and taking the lead on projects and relationships.

The Autism Centre of Excellence exists to improve access to high quality support and remove barriers and stigma for autistic people, but to do this we need to grow our funding.

We aim to raise £5 million over the next five years to increase our reach, impact and activities, whilst creating a sustainable and predictable income stream for the charity. To do this we need to systematically build a pipeline of donors and supporters, to build profile and new relationships. In the short term we need someone who can lead the development of a series of applications to trusts, foundations and other sources of funding to support our priority workstreams.

Main duties and Responsibilities

• Primary focus will be on managing and soliciting income from your own portfolio of high value trusts, foundations and statutory funders, securing gifts of between £10,000 - £1,000,000 to successfully achieve the charity’s ambitious fundraising targets.
• Secondary focus will be on the planning and delivery of first-class Special Events and Major Donor fundraising.
• Create a robust prospect pipeline of effectively researched and qualified funders, ensuring a continued flow of prospects through the pipeline, taking a sales approach to lead generation and the assessment of the warmth and value donors.
• Deliver effective research of prospective and existing donors, which enables us to raise significant income through both new and existing relationships; utilising our networks effectively.
• Implement effective cultivation and stewardship journeys that provides a high-quality supporter experience to your portfolio of donors and prospects.
• Deliver first-class relationship management to ensure excellent ongoing relationships with donors in both a written and face-to-face capacity.
• Deliver exceptional writing skills through proposal and bid writing and day-to-day communication with donors and colleagues.
• Fully understand the charity’s projects and activities to both ascertain their suitability as funding propositions and communicate them in a compelling manner to funders.
• Work closely with operational colleagues to develop compelling and thorough cases for support to inform our research and fundraising strategies.

 Benefits

Salary: £34,000 to £39,000 FTE, dependent on skills and experience.

Hybrid working, working in Cambridge a minimum of two days a week.

Working Well is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health, learning disabilities, neurodiversity, and/or complex issues through training and employment.

We are recruiting a full-time and a part time Employment Support Worker for our supported employment team in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. These are permanent roles. The post holder will carry a caseload of clients who may have one or more support needs including:

• Learning Disabilities

• Autism 

• Mental Health

The focus of the role is to support clients to achieve their employment goals, engaging with employers and training providers to secure vocational outcomes in line with client preferences.

Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our commitment to supporting people to find the right job for them. Experience working with individuals affected by learning disabilities and autism would be beneficial. The successful candidate must be comfortable in approaching employers, persuading them to use our service, and working with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.

You will work closely with referring teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led.  You will also be in working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service. 

We are operating a hybrid working model in our Kingston team, with a combination of working from home and in the community with a required 3 days per week spent in our Kingston office.

Are you committed to working in partnership to empower people with learning disabilities and autistic people to work through trauma and find justice? 

We are seeking a qualified Specialist ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor) to join our Advocacy team at Respond. The role includes providing pro-active emotional, practical and advocacy support for adults with learning disabilities and autistic people with complex or multiple needs who have experienced any form of sexual violence and are engaging, (or considering engaging) with the criminal justice system. The ISVA will work across London to provide non-judgmental, trauma-informed emotional support, working in partnership with other London sexual violence support services. 

Our ideal candidate will have experience in the ISVA role as well as a friendly and relational approach to working with clients.  You will have the ability to build trusting relationships, work in an empowering and inclusive way and support clients to heal following sexual abuse and develop coping capacity. You will be a self-motivated individual who will engage with a wider range of people who have experience sexual violence, and other barriers to justice.

Background information about Respond   

Respond started in 1991 and has grown from a small London based charity to a medium sized national charity in recent years.  Our mission is to reduce the impact of trauma in the lives of people with learning disabilities and autistic people, by developing trusting relationships, through psychotherapeutically informed services.  

An important part of our work at Respond is working in a trauma-informed way. What this means for us is that we hold in mind the impact of trauma at all levels of the organisation, and all staff take part in reflective practice or team dynamics.

Respond Benefits package (all per financial year)

We offer a generous and comprehensive package of flexible benefits to all of our staff.

• Hybrid working model, which means that if you’re full time you make a commitment to be working in the office at least two days a week, with the remainder working from home.  Part time hours are altered accordingly.

The role

We're looking for an experienced administrator to join our People team. You will provide administrative support to our Recruitment team and deliver great customer service. We need someone who is flexible and happy to support the wider People team as required.

You will:

• Manage and respond to emails to the recruitment inbox.
• Sort and distribute the People Teams post at Here East.
• Support hiring managers, applicants, and candidates with recruitment processes.
• Support recruitment administration to the team and line managers, ensuring smooth communication.
• Manage the weekly recruitment panel process, maintain databases and provide regular reporting.
• Assist with DBS applications, Visa, and DBS renewals.
• Support monthly recruitment reporting and statistics.
• Schedule interviews and update roles in our system.
• Be a team player

About you

Previous administrative experience is essential, but we're willing to train the right candidate.

You will have:

• Previous administrative work experience (in HR or recruitment preferred).
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office packages (outlook, excel, word).
• Good organisational and interpersonal skills.

Mencap – Trust and Statutory Manager

Mencap - the leading charity for the 1.5 million people in the UK with a learning disability, their families and carers - is seeking an experienced and motivated grants, trusts and foundations fundraiser.

Mencap is making this a reality by: providing services that model their vision and ambition; campaigning locally and nationally; helping people with a learning disability to stand up for what they want and need; empowering people, groups and organisations to create real change in their own communities; helping people with a learning disability to gain employment, skills and find paid jobs; offering people information and advice for all areas of their lives and conducting research into important issues to create a positive impact and see real change. 

This role will be critical to supporting the Trusts and Statutory Team at Mencap to develop a sustainable, ambitious programme that contributes to building a robust pipeline of income from trust, foundation, statutory and lottery prospects with the potential to donate significant income in support of a range of the charity’s projects. It will be responsible for developing compelling and strategically aligned applications to secure funding through various funding bodies and contribute significantly to the financial team target. The post-holder will also identify and research prospective donors that have the potential to support the organisation’s work, through internal networks and undertaking external research.

Mencap is seeking an ambitious and creative fundraiser with demonstrable experience of securing five figure+ sums through compelling cases from trusts, statutory funders and similar funding bodies. You will also significant experience working with and to financial and non-financial KPIs, as well as of project management and cross-organisational working.

Alongside a strong knowledge and understanding of Trust and Statutory Fundraising, key issues and opportunities, you will have the ability to engage and inspire internal and external stakeholders. You will also have a results driven focus, with the ability to thrive in a busy work environment and work to deadlines. Finally, you will share Mencap’s passion about changing the world for everyone with a learning disability.
