We are seeking a Perinatal Outreach Coordinator to provide person-centred, individual and group support to perinatal women (pregnant women and birthing people of children less than 2 years old) within the London Borough of Greenwich. The role works directly with the Oxleas Perinatal Mental Health Team and is employed by South East London Mind.

You will be responsible for supporting women under the care of the Oxleas Perinatal Mental Health Team with moderate to severe mental health challenges who have been identified as requiring additional practical and social support. You will work one-to-one in the community to develop personalised plans focused on their recovery, providing support to help them get and remain well during the perinatal period.

You will develop, deliver and facilitate a programme of perinatal support groups and other activities that encourage women to access outreach support within the local community, develop social networks and reduce isolation as part of their recovery plan. Current activities include weekly play sessions, walking group, soft play, picnics and monthly outings.

Applicants should have a good understanding of mental health challenges in the perinatal period alongside experience of supporting families with multiple and diverse needs. An ability to work independently but collaboratively, to be proactive and highly organised is essential for this role.

Additional information:

• Applicants will be required to attend a weekly multi-disciplinary team meeting every Tuesday afternoon (based in Bexley DA2).
• Applicants must be able to travel and work within the London Borough of Greenwich and surrounding areas in effective manner, including conducting home visits and group activities in community venues.

Successful applicants will be expected to undergo an Enhanced Level Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Action Foundation is an award-winning charity that supports and empowers asylum seekers, refugees and other migrants in the North East to overcome immediate barriers, integrate with the community, and build skills for the future. We are looking to recruit an Employability Officer with our Language & Learning team which supports integration through three key areas: employability workshops and advice, digital skills training and non-accredited ESOL classes. 

We are seeking someone with a good understanding of the issues and challenges faced by job seekers, particularly those whose first language is not English, to support migrants in their search for sustainable employment.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in empowering individuals, particularly those affected by changes to their right to work, to rebuild confidence, develop skills and move towards long-term employment. Working closely with the Employability Adviser and the wider team, they will deliver high-quality, person-centred support through our employability programmes, while also contributing to wider team activities and workshops that promote inclusion and opportunity. 

Essential skills include the ability to juggle challenging caseloads and conflicting priorities; experience of supporting vulnerable individuals and dealing with safeguarding concerns; a thorough understanding and commitment to equal opportunities and experience of working with a CRM.

Essential information

Hours: 35 hours per week (full time) with flexible hours/working pattern

Location: Based in Newcastle but with a requirement to work across Tyne & Wear, County Durham and Northumberland

Salary: £24, 715 to £27,832 (depending on experience) per annum plus 6%
pension contribution

Contract: Fixed term one year contract (subject to passing a two month probation period). An extension to this post may be possible, subject to further project funding.

Annual Leave: 28 days + English Bank Holidays

We are seeking a Head of Supporter Engagement to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Fundraising & Communications to develop and enhance our Public Fundraising Programme, which covers Individual Giving, Lottery, Challenge Events and Legacy income. Having invested in the team’s capacity, we aim to grow income from c. £1m to £1.8m over the next few years. This in the broader context of a total voluntary income target for the charity of £5m-£6m.

The Head of Supporter Engagement leads a team of seven which includes three direct reports: Community Fundraising Manager, Individual Giving Manager and Database Manager. As part of the senior leadership team within the Fundraising & Communications Team, you will contribute to the wider leadership and decision making in the department, acts as a role-model for our values and build strong relationships outside our team, such as with Finance and the Care Team (service delivery).

You will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective supporters of Noah’s Ark. You will ensure our supporters have the best supporter experience possible, to make them feel engaged and motivated, valued and informed about the impact of their donations. You will be responsible for developing implementing strategies for donor acquisition and retention, managing communications with our supporters through various channels. You will have a great degree of freedom to innovate and bring creative flare to our programmes, building your decisions on solid data, donor insight and best practice.
