We have an exciting Assistant Support Worker (known internally as Duty Worker) opportunity where you will develop valuable skills and experience while playing a key role in providing support to St Mungo’s clients.

You will be joining the Westminster Move On and Resettlement Service, which consists of several semi-independent houses and flats in the north of the borough. The staff team provides support to nearly 80 clients many of whom have complex support needs. We work closely with a number of external services specialising in substance use, physical and mental health. Our aim is to support people with a history of sleeping rough, and work with them to develop the skills, networks and confidence to live independently in the community.

In this role you will work closely with the team to jointly manage the safe day to day running of the service, and you will provide basic support and advice to clients. You will often be the first point of contact for clients, contractors, and be a vital part of ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment within the service. You will take a lead role on health and safety and help to coordinate repairs and maintenance and other administrative duties while working alongside the team to provide a person-centred support to clients.

This is a fantastic role for someone looking to develop a career in the sector. We are looking for a friendly, motivated self-starter who is keen to get experience of working directly with our clients. In addition you will have:

• Some experience of dealing directly with the public and/or clients or customers in a busy service environment

We're looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join our finance team located at our Head Office in Caledonian Road.

Reporting to the Financial Accountant, the Assistant Financial Accountant will be involved with all financial accounting and treasury activities for the organisation which includes Look Ahead Care & Support and its subsidiaries. Activities include the day to day monitoring and administration of Look Ahead's bank account, posting journals, producing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assisting with the management of the outsourced payroll function.

What you'll do:

Assist with the production of the management accountants and annual financial statements for Look Ahead Care & Support (LACS) and its 3 subsidiary companies.
Assist the Financial Accountant with the annual year end audit process for the organisation including liaison with the external auditors.
Prepare the quarterly VAT return for Look Ahead and Look Ahead Developments.
Post all fixed asset journals, reconciling relevant balance sheet accounts monthly.
Prepare and post monthly journals and complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations for other general ledger accounts as required.
Ensure that Look Ahead's bank accounts are reconciled on a daily basis. Prepare and post daily journals for cash receipts, direct debits, and manual payments.
Assist with the preparation of payroll journals and the reconciliation of relevant payroll accounts e.g. payroll control, PAYE, pension, attachment of earnings etc.
Assist with the monthly payroll processing, including processing of overtime and payroll sample checking.
Assist with the administration of Look Ahead's pension scheme, including processing new joiners and leavers.
Assist the Financial Accountant with the development and day to day management of the SUN financial system across the whole finance team in order to achieve efficiencies and continuous improvement.

The role of a Step Down Worker is to provide ongoing support to IDVA clients where the risk has been reduced to a safer level or where a client is referred into the service as medium/standard risk.. The post holder will provide ongoing support which is bespoke according to need and will work in a trauma informed way providing holistic support to aid client's recovery from abuse. This post will be part of the male IDVA team and will work collaboratively with the IDVAs to manage case loads.

Manage a caseload of clients who have been stepped down from high risk IDVA support
Provide ongoing support with a range of client needs including but not limited to attendance at court hearings, mental health, substance issues, and housing support.

Support clients to obtain orders where needed and any other civil remedies available to them.
Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities.

Assisting in the recording and reporting of customer incidents.

Adhering to lone working protocols and maintaining high levels of awareness in relation to the

Skills and experience required:

We're looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Waking Night Mental Health Support Worker to join our Mental Health service in Hackney.

Felstead street is a CQC registered care home that provide care and support for 24 adults with high level mental health needs but also with complex physical health needs.

As a Waking Night Mental Health Support Worker, you will play an integral role as a part of the team by offering the continuity of care and support in every aspect of their needs in line with individual support and risk management plans, such as medication administration, emotional support and regular welfare check, personal care and so on.

Shift: 10.15pm-8.15am. Must be able to work some weekends and bank holidays. 4 working days (10 hours x4) a week, according to the rolling rota.

Park Wood Connects Project
Courtesy of the National Lottery Community Fund Fusion Maidstone are able to launch their Park Wood Connects project which is a three year engagement and support initiative co-designed with the local community to support people struggling with the combined effects of the cost-of-living crisis, the mental health crisis, and high levels of social isolation/loneliness in one of the South East’s most deprived communities.  To address the growing numbers of vulnerable local residents we propose to do two things through the Park Wood Connects project:

About the Community Outreach Worker Role
Fusion is employing a Community Outreach Worker who has a great sense of community and customer service, enjoys working in an outreach environment and who is looking to make a positive difference to the local community.

The Hepatitis C Trust has developed projects nationally whereby peers use their lived experience of injecting drug use and hepatitis C, to provide education and training to service users and staff in drug and alcohol, hostel and homeless services, increasing hepatitis C awareness, access to testing and referral to treatment for people living with hepatitis C.

Working under the guidance of the Peer Programme Manager, this post will continue the development of the project, recruiting and coordinating peers across Cornwall.

Working in partnership with hepatitis C clinical teams, drug and alcohol services, homeless service providers, primary care and community pharmacies, and targeting marginalised and disadvantaged communities, the post will coordinate delivery of educational workshops, hepatitis C testing and harm reduction interventions to ensure that service users are referred and supported through hepatitis C treatment and care. 

This post will require extensive travel across the region and the post holder is required to hold a clean driving licence and have their own vehicle for work related travel.

Role Summary

How this role fits into the vision and objectives of Causeway

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Crime Reduction Advocate within our Refocus Team based in Merseyside. Working primarily with female individuals who have been identified as being at risk to low level domestic violence. Please note due to the nature of the work there is an occupational requirement for the applicant to be female. It is key that it this project is survivor focused and looks to address abusive behaviours at their source, at an early intervention phase, via support and education. This means working with both those who have carried out such acts and those who have been made subject to them.

The successful candidate is expected to support a caseload of individuals in order to jointly assess and manage any initial risk and to ensure all safeguarding protocols have been followed. The role is not that of and IDSVA, although some of the skills will overlap, the is to provide on-going support to individuals in areas of need in which they feel dis-empowered and hence build confidence and skills. This process will happen in partnership with the organisation DMAT who will run ‘See the signs’ course which will look to educate and equip individuals to feel safe and empowered in this area. It is important to note that you may also be required to work with people displaying potentially abusive or coercive behaviours (perpetrators), offering education and support to promote long term change.

We are recruiting a Fundraising and Engagement Assistant apprentice to provide outstanding data management, supporter care and assist the Challenge Events Fundraising Officer and wider fundraising team to support our income generation.

What you will do:

Support the Fundraising team to uphold a high level of supporter care with a view to retention and increased engagement.

Efficiently and accurately process and reconcile all incoming donation information, received daily, weekly and monthly from multiple digital sources, onto our database and acknowledge these within agreed timescales.

Analyse all online income including but not exclusively from Just Giving, Enthuse, PayPal Giving Fund and Facebook along with all other income.

Ensure that all third party received income is recorded on Raisers Edge and produce accurate reports for internal stakeholders.

Be the first point of contact for challenge event supporters and manage and respond to queries.

Record and update non-financial supporter information such as, communication preferences, research information and other personal information in line with our Data Protection policy.

Distribute all parcels in a timely manner, making sure everything is recorded accurately.

To be successful in this role you will have:

English and Maths GCSE or equivalent grade C or above

Previous experience providing dedicated administration support.

Experience of handling sensitive information appropriately

Experience of working effectively within a team environment and assisting colleagues

Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write reports.

Ability to handle calls and enquiries from stakeholders including people who may be vulnerable and /or bereaved sensitively and appropriately.

The apprenticeship programme is due to start in September 2024, provided by the Juice Academy - an industry-led apprenticeship provider. They are partnered with Jane Montague Consultancy to deliver the 13-15 month Fundraiser Level 3 programme. Apprentices work on the job within a charity whilst receiving 20% off the job training from current industry experts. The training sessions are a hybrid of face-to-face learning (two optional in-person days) in Manchester, and virtual half-day classrooms via Zoom. Apprentices also receive the on-the-job training in the workplace. The final three months of the course will be the ‘assessment period’ during which apprentices go through an End Point Assessment and are graded a pass, merit or distinction. Apprentices currently have a 94% distinction rate. The Juice Academy are part of the Apprentify Group, and development coaches support apprentices throughout the programme.

The qualification will include:

Salary: £23,114 per annum (SCP 4) progressing by increments to £23,893 per annum (SCP 6)
