The Outreach/Development Worker is accountable to the Centre Manager for:
1. Outreach to identify service users/ learners and their needs.
2. Working alongside service users/learners to motivate them to take action to improve their mental/physical health and access appropriate resources and services to meet their needs to improve their quality of life.
3. Liaising and developing appropriate partnerships with community groups and other relevant organisations for referrals and signposting.
This role will require excellent communication skills, experience of giving advice and guidance, signposting vulnerable adults to access services and experience of working with diverse communities

This is a newly created role working within our Fundraising & Communication Dept.
Role summary
Working within our fundraising and communications team, you will support the management of our communications portfolio of work. Maintaining our consistent brand, you will lead on digital and print asset development. You will lead on supporter communications, assisting the rest of the team to raise the profile and bring new supporters into the organisation. Job purpose

Key accountabilities

9. Support community fundraising activities, empowering existing and newly sourced supporters, (including schools, universities and other members of the public) to independently generate funds for Able Child Africa through independent events and activities.
Provide other support to the Fundraising and Communications and wider operational teams as agreed, including supporting routine office operations.
10. Maintain our Salesforce database, keeping detailed records of communications, support and donations from individuals and organisations.
11. Support our advocacy objectives, working with the Advocacy team to produce high quality and consistent messaging for use within the international development sector.
12. Support the delivery of unique and ongoing operational activities as required for the effective running of the organisation.
Competencies
Experience
1. At least one years’ experience in a fundraising or communications support role.
2. Experience of managing or supporting the management of events to, ideally including managing volunteers or supporters to raise funds.
3. Experience or knowledge of managing individual donors with demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders (including public, media and donors) to advance a cause.
Skills and Technical Competencies
4. Creative ability to assist in the production of engaging content for communication in line with the organisational brand and mission.

Role Requirements
As part of the site services team the role holder will be expected to liaise with managers and staff across the Trust. The role holder is expected to work closely with the other members of the facilities team and assist in covering in the laundry, in the deep clean team or other works as and when required.

Summary of Role
Working under the direction of our Centre Managers at Arc in the Park and Abbey Hub, Youth Workers are key to ensuring the successful delivery of our provision for young people. We are currently looking for committed, enthusiastic and flexible sessional staff to work during school holiday periods and the remainder of the year as One to One Support Workers (supporting young people with additional needs or disabilities).

Summary of Role
Working under the direction of our Centre Managers at Arc in the Park and Abbey Hub, Support Workers are key to ensuring the successful delivery of our provision for children and young people. Working with children and young people on and one to one basis and in group settings, the role will support the delivery of our play and youth projects and activities to aid their development and will include providing support to young people with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities.

About the role:
This role is based in our Islington office with the flexibility of hybrid working. As a Children & Young People's Caseworker, you will:
- Conduct risk assessments to ensure all clients receive a tailored support package that fully meets their needs, including safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support
- Provide one to one support to children and young people living in families affected by domestic abuse
- Manage a caseload of different risk level cases & provide specialist support to reduce the risk & increase safety
- Regularly review risk, ensuring appropriate action is taken making the necessary referrals to MARAC & following local safeguarding processes
- Involve children & young people in making decisions about themselves & the development of the service.
- Establish links with relevant statutory partners in Social Care, Education, Health, Police and Housing & attend meetings as required
You will need:
- Experience of working with vulnerable children and young people
- Knowledge of risk assessment & safeguarding requirements
- An understanding of the issues for children and young people experiencing crime, domestic abuse and relationship abuse
- Experience of multi-agency & partnership work, including building relationships with statutory & voluntary services
- Effective organisational skills, able to prioritise effectively
- Ability to maintain accurate and confidential case records
- Good written & verbal communication skills
- Able to use IT systems including Microsoft Office
