We are looking for a motivated person to take on the role of Clerk and Administrator. We wish to appoint a diligent, well-organised person who has enthusiasm, understanding and a commitment to the Foundation and its aims.

The Foundation is an education charity based in Hartlebury, Worcestershire with an honourable history. Having its roots in the Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School founded in the 16th century, it became the ‘Queen Elizabeth 1 Foundation’ charity in 1987. The charity owns and derives income from the original ‘Queen Elizabeth 1 Grammar School’ premises in Hartlebury and from its investment portfolio.

It’s key purpose is to benefit local schools and individuals by making financial awards to enhance and support educational opportunities. It seeks and considers applications from local schools or from individual pupils or students resident in the local area. We are committed to this aim and to developing our grant-making. The Foundation’s area of benefit is ‘the ancient parish of Hartlebury’, which is slightly larger than the current parish of Hartlebury.

The post will involve attending board meetings, taking and producing accurate minutes, and undertaking the accompanying administrative tasks including day-to-day banking and accounting. You will need to be able to keep well-ordered files & documents, be numerate and literate, with good typing skills, and it is essential you are fully competent using Word, Excel and Xero (or similar) accounting software.

In-person board meetings, usually six per year, take place at the Parish Hall in Hartlebury in alternate months; they are usually held from 5.30 – 7.30 p.m. Much of the working time for the role will be home-based and there is liable to be a need to store some administrative papers & documents securely in your home. There is also likely to be some written and/or phone contact with schools and individuals who make applications to the charity. You will co-ordinate liaison with the Foundation’s existing property, rent-collection and legal consultants.

The Foundation is in an important period of development, expanding its profile and its grant-making process, upgrading its online presence and moving to internet banking. The clerk’s role will be an exciting part of all these.

Core Responsibilities

· Support the team in identifying funders and income generation opportunities

Personal Specification / Attributes

The successful candidate will be an experienced Senior Manager/Chief Executive with a demonstrable track record of successfully running an organisation or team leadership. You will possess strong strategic management, governance and people skills in addition to being solution focussed. Excellent stakeholder management skills are essential as is the ability to generate income from a range of sources.

Essential knowledge and skills

· Three years experience as a Senior Manager / Chief Executive

About The Role

- We would like to welcome applications from passionate and experienced Group Facilitators to join our Hertfordshire team to support our Dementia Support Group provision.
As part of the new Dementia Support contract in Hertfordshire, which started in October 2024, the Alzheimer’s Society has taken over the management and facilitation of dementia support group services across Hertfordshire. Currently we manage 22 centre-based activities groups (weekly) across Herts, in addition to another 4-5 online groups (carers and Young Onset specific). The groups are well established and a crucial means of support to service users and carers.  We are in the process of reviewing our groups, this might result in us developing more new and varied groups (respite, specific communities or location specific) in the coming months.
As a group facilitator you will have many key functions, this will include managing and facilitating weekly activities based groups (could range from 2-4 groups per week), structuring a 12 week program for the groups you manage in consultation with service users and carers; managing volunteers that support your groups, working with local Dementia Advisers to provide 1-2-1 support for groups attendees and establishing relationships with local organisations for the purposes of facilitating signposted support for service users.
You will be joining a team of expert Group Facilitators and Dementia Advisers that are experienced and passionate about their work, and they will support you to undertake your role successfully.

Poverty Truth Commissions are about bringing about change - changing organisations and communities behaviours and attitudes towards poverty and taking action to tackle it. The PTC brings together people who have direct lived experience of poverty with key decision makers to form a group of commissioners who meet and work together on the key issues guided by the Community Commissioners. 

The purpose of the Community Engagement Worker role is to coordinate and facilitate a Poverty Truth Commission where people and their stories are at the heart of truly understanding and addressing poverty, delivering a commission in a truly relational way, which prioritises the leadership of those who are more often marginalised or voiceless.

Key Responsibilities

• To reach and develop trusted relationships with people with lived experience of poverty, with the aim of recruiting Community Commissioners who are representative of our local community.

About the Role

As Emotional and Mental Wellbeing (EMW) Practitioner, you will offer specialist interventions to staff and volunteers seeking emotional and mental health support and will provide advice to a team of volunteer Mental Health First Aiders. Specialist support provided will include a wide range of approaches, including assessment, information, applied psychosocial interventions, health promotion, and illness prevention services. About the Project – Door of Hope (East London)

The Door of Hope Project provides support to women who sell sex in Tower Hamlets.  This includes journeying alongside women, whilst providing advocacy, information, emotional and practical support.  The project also has a strong team of around 15 volunteers, who deliver street outreach to women in Tower Hamlets on a Thursday morning and Friday night. 

About the Role

Beyond the Streets is a UK charity with over 20 years’ experience of partnering with women in the sex industry, to see them safe from coercion, violence and abuse. We deliver trauma-informed, person-centred support, provide training, and create resources and reports informed by research, lived experience, and practitioner experience.

Our ‘Direct Work’ is central to the organisation, and we are looking to recruit a new Women’s Support Worker.

Taking a woman-centred approach, your role is to provide holistic support for women with complex needs who want support, or to exit the sex industry. We are looking for someone with energy, motivation and experience of working with vulnerable adults; someone who a highly developed sense of self-awareness who can work in a gender and trauma informed way.

This role will be part of a small team of support workers, and a service manager, who deliver an in-person support service, with women who sell sex on-street in East London. You will have frontline experience of working with individuals who experience multiple disadvantage. This might be in the VAWG sector, domestic abuse, substance misuse, mental health or counselling or direct experience of women in the sex industry. You will have a good understanding of working with vulnerable people and be aware of the need for Safeguarding.

You will be a champion of the cause, have a passion for supporting women who face multiple disadvantages and be familiar with the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) sector.

Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Operations Assistant to support our team and ensure the smooth operation of our office. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated professional to join our warm and friendly mental health charity. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys providing hospitality, supporting mental health initiatives in nature, and ensuring efficient office and field management. The successful candidate will be responsible for, assisting with nature-based mental health activities, and supporting the team and office needs.

The nature of the role may require flexible hours such as occasional evenings to cover monthly volunteer training evenings and other annual events as necessitated by the needs of the charity.

Dose of Nature

Dose of Nature is a mental health charity whose objective is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of individuals through increased engagement with the natural world. Our work is rooted in a wealth of scientific evidence that demonstrates the physiological and psychological benefits of spending time in nature.  We deliver ‘nature prescriptions’ to people referred by their GP with a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. Our Dose of Nature Prescription Programme is overseen by psychologists and is a genuine alternative to both medication and more traditional psychological interventions. Through a combination of education, first-hand experience, and practical and motivational support, we aim to encourage a greater connection with nature and inspire lifestyle changes that will have a significant and lasting impact on mental wellbeing.  Dose of Nature is a fun, supportive and lively organisation that encourages creativity and independence, as well as a strong sense of working together as a team.  

Key Responsibilities

Hospitality & Wellbeing Support:

• Greet all guests, acting as the first point of contact between the team and external stakeholders visiting 1 Wharf Cottage, namely our clients, volunteers and partners.
• Prepare and serve teas, coffees, and refreshments to clients, volunteers and visitors, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
•  Assist the operations and psychology team with daily administrative tasks, including managing scheduling meetings and client assessments / reviews.
• Assist in the set-up and facilitation of nature-based mental health group activities, providing support to the group leaders and facilitators (where required).
•  Support the team in ensuring a comfortable and supportive workspace.

Event Coordination: 

• Assist in coordinating and executing group sessions, meetings, events and wellness workshops as required.Support logistics, venue setup, and participant coordination for monthly, quarterly and annual events.
• Provide on-the-ground assistance during events, activities and group sessions.
• Oversee the purchase of supplies, including food and drinks, for our monthly volunteer evening events.
• Provide evening and / or weekend support at our bi-annual social events for our client base, volunteers, and donors (dates are always arranged well in advance). 

Operational & Administrative Support:

• Provide general support for the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring a productive, efficient and well-functioning working environment. Assist the Operations team in scheduling and coordinating client assessment and review appointments, workshops, and mental health activities in nature.
• Act as a point of contact for staff and volunteers, addressing logistical and office needs.
• Manage office supplies, ensuring restocking and organisation.
• Liaise with vendors and maintenance services as needed.
• Provide other general administrative support to the psychology and operations team, including making online orders, liaising with printers, and preparing resources for training events.

Service Practitioner – Better Futures

Location: The post will be based in Barnardo's Better Futures Offices in Pyle, Bridgend.

Are you experienced in working in a Social Care setting?  Do you want a role where you can make a difference to the lives of children, young people and families? 

Applicants will need to hold a  Social Work or equivalent professional qualification, i.e.  a probation degree, Psychology or therapeutic qualification with registration with the relevant professional body.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join a well- established Barnardo's Service as a Service Practitioner undertaking assessments and direct therapeutic work with children and young people. 

About Better Futures Service:  Better Futures Cymru is a specialist service which provides assessments and longer-term therapeutic interventions for children and young people who display Harmful Sexual Behaviour; and young people who are at risk of or who are abused through Child Sexual Exploitation.

The Service has worked in partnership with 6 local authorities across the South Wales area for over 25 years and has close working relationships with Social Services and Youth Offending Teams across the partnership.  

Our work is informed by current research and guidance and uses a range of therapeutic approaches including the trauma recovery model.

Job Role:

You will undertake specialist assessments of risks and needs and provide therapeutic interventions for children and young people who display Harmful Sexual Behaviour or who have experienced or are at risk of Child Sexual Exploitation.  You will do this by working directly with children and families.  

Your duties will also include:

•    Writing comprehensive, structured assessments reports which outline young peoples needs, risks and protective factors in relation to referring concerns.
•    Completing therapeutic interventions with children and young people referred to the service.
•    Completing regular reports to update referring agencies of progress, and outstanding needs/risk.
•    Offering specialist advise to referring Social Workers around case management issues and safety planning
•    Representing the service at multi agency meetings 
•    Delivering training 
•    Undertaking direct work with parents/carers
•    Working within the court arena (Family and Criminal)

The 2021 Census shows that around 36% of Camden’s households are now made up of private renters, and in the Haverstock and Primrose Hill wards, where this project will operate, it’s 27% and 35% respectively. This group of residents is often unaware of what services are out there to help them, where they are located, and how they access them.

This new role has been created to outreach and engage with private renters in the 2 wards specified and it will also include information production, dissemination and project management work. The worker will set up the project and is the key person in ensuring the smooth delivery of it in line with its stated aims and objectives.

Please note: You will need to be based in/around London for this role as it involves work within specific locations in the London Borough of Camden and is not suitable for home working or long distance travelling.

Project management:

1. To plan and deliver the project to all agreed deadlines, milestones and targets

2. To manage the project budget in liaison with CFPT’s Assistant Organiser

3. To gather and record all relevant data and statistics relating to the project

5. To prepare project update reports for CFPT’s Management Committee as and when required

6. To prepare annual project update reports as required by the funder

Relationship building:

1. To identify and build relationships with key contacts e.g. ward councillors, Council staff, and other relevant individuals and groups/organisations

Engaging:

1. To creatively engage with a wide variety of private renters (focussing particularly on the more vulnerable and socially isolated ones) in different locations and settings across the 2 wards to ensure they are aware of the range of local services available to them

Participating:

1. To promote and raise awareness of the project both online and through organising meetings, events and activities in the wards

2. To increase participation in the project both online and through organising meetings, events and activities in the wards

3. To publicise the project and private renters’ issues through the different media and other communication channels

Informing, empowering and supporting:

1. To identify the information, support and other needs of private renters to enable them to effectively engage with their landlord and/or agent and other organisations

2. To help and support tenants to advocate on behalf of themselves, and when required, to advocate on their behalf with the landlord and/or agent regarding individual problems and issues.

Project sustainability:

1. To have an awareness any relevant developments (internal/external) which could impact on work of the project

2. To assist CFPT’s Organiser to identify and make applications to funders to ensure the long-term sustainability of the project, if this is required

Other:

The post holder must undertake:

1. To attend some evening meetings and work occasional weekends

2. To attend CFPT Management Committee meetings and AGM when required
