Longborough Festival Opera is seeking a hands-on, proactive individual to join the team as Head of Finance working closely with the Executive Director to deliver our strategic objectives. You will ensure highly effective financial management and controls for the charity and support non-finance managers with budget management. You will be a strategic thinker and efficient planner, a detail-orientated person who enjoys working as a core part of a small team and is self-motivated when working remotely. The Head of Finance will be responsible for:
Finance: Preparation of annual budgets, financial reporting & modelling. Be the lead for the year-end and audit process. Preparation and monitoring of cash-flow. Ensure robust and effective financial systems and processes. Taxation calculations and compliance. Manage the monthly payroll, pension and HMRC submissions
HR: Managing the HR processes and record keeping
Other: Line manage the Finance & Administration Assistant, company secretarial duties, support with fundraising and other administrative tasks. Working closely with the Box Office team to ensure all income is recorded and reconciled to finance systems

About the role:

As Executive Director you will lead a small team – Head of Education (full time), Head of Community Life (full time) and Programme and Volunteer Officer (full time), working with a charity that has a vision of a world where no one is forced to choose between their LGBT+ and Jewish identity.

As the only charity doing this in the UK, the charity works in partnership with communities to identify their goals, then tailor  support so they can achieve them.

Key responsibilities of the Executive Director:

• Delivering the organisation’s priorities as laid out in the 2022-2027 strategy
• Ensuring financial sustainability through devising and executing a fundraising strategy and carefully managing the organisational budget

You will have strong experience in charity financial management, significant operational experience ideally within the charity sector, including HR and people, improving policies and systems, and charity governance. You will be a highly motivated and driven self-starter, able to adapt quickly when priorities change. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience of leading internal organisation communications and creating high level reports and presentations. You will also have experience of implementing equality and human rights standards, for example the social work model of disability and anti-racist practices, throughout all areas of work. The ideal candidate may understand key concepts of structural inequality, combined with insight into your own experiences of advantage and disadvantage, and sensitivity and empathy to the rights and needs of colleagues.

Southwark Law Centre (SLC) is recruiting a new Executive Director.

The Executive Director will work with the Trustee Board to develop and implement the strategic vision for the Law Centre and oversee its day to day operational management.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for an Educational Psychologist

(EP) who wants to use their knowledge and skills in psychology to make a meaningful difference to the lives of autistic pupils. As per the Charity's mission to ‘stand with autistic children and young people', the role involves prioritising outcomes that are meaningful and important to the children and young people in Treehouse School. It involves supporting reflective practice within the teams around the pupils, to enable provision of emotionally containing and supportive learning environments.

The roles is part of the Integrated Services team, that comprises of dynamic teams of Occupational Therapists, PBS Specialists and Speech and Language Therapists. Enhancing quality of life of children and young people with autism and learning disabilities is central to all we do.

We are looking for a person that has:

• Doctorate in Educational Psychology
• Experience of working with children and young people with autism and learning disabilities
• Successful experience of designing and delivering effective consultation and training programmes for other professionals and families
• Applying the latest research evidence and evaluative thinking in practice & ensures all practice is person centered
• Advanced skills in building strong partnerships, maintaining relationships and co-producing solutions to challenges with children and young people, professionals and parents/carers

• Work with and manage multiple suppliers, ensuring that the organisation is getting the best value and developing strong positive partnerships. 
• Manage IT budgets and work closely with teams to ensure progress on projects is maintained appropriately.
• Be able to identify and plan what the future needs are for the organisation from a digital and technical perspective.

A major family foundation is seeking a strategy lead to support the evolution of the organisation in terms of mission and structure to align with the ambitions of the Founder as changes take place in the external environment that require adapting funding priorities and the engagement with grantees and strategic partners.

The Foundation exists to tackle a broad range of inter-related societal and environmental challenges to bring about fundamental and lasting change to improve outcomes for people and planet.

Experience of the family foundation sector would perhaps be helpful, but it is by no means essential. Understanding the motivations for philanthropic giving and the structures/processes involved in identifying the best sources for investment, the systems for programme development, delivery and evaluation will, however, be important.
