About the role

This is a new role where you will the lead and deliver all HR functions, ensuring legal compliance, best practice, and consistency in people management across the organisation. This is a hands-on and strategic role, working closely with the Director of Finances and Resources to support a high-performing, inclusive, and values-aligned culture.

You will be responsible for the full employee lifecycle — from recruitment and onboarding to performance, development, employee relations, and offboarding. We’re recruiting a fundraiser and project development manager to build on our creative, award-winning work addressing climate change and fuel poverty in practical, tangible ways. 

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who shares our vision of a different energy future: one in which energy is generated renewably and used sustainably whilst leaving no one behind in the journey. We are looking for someone who understands the energy sector and the unique role that a community energy group can play in the energy transition. It is a role for someone who can imagine community solutions to energy sector issues and to translate these into fundable projects. 

Your role will be to work with our board of Directors and staff to come to an understanding of our mission and values and our strategic priorities and develop and resource projects that will enable us to meet those priorities filling gaps in provision. In a practical sense, you will work with stakeholders e.g. our staff, our members, local community groups, local authorities and clients to generate ideas for future projects. The direction of travel should be broadly determined by our recent strategic review.

You will work closely with our CEO and our Board of Directors to prioritise project ideas. You will develop partnerships, refine project ideas, identify sources of funding (Trusts and Grantmakers, Corporate Giving), draft bids and cost delivery on a full cost recovery basis, submit bids and if funding is awarded, mobilise the team to deliver the work. This role provides a big and exciting challenge for someone who knows the energy sector, understands the opportunity of community and grassroots solutions, who brings excellent written communication skills and is willing to learn how to fundraise.

Responsibilities:

Grant Fundraising Support:

• Work with the Selce community (the board, staff, volunteers and other stakeholders) to generate new project ideas that support our strategic mission 
• Research and identify potential grant-making trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies that will fund project proposals
• Prepare high-quality grant applications; this includes calculating budget requirements, formulating proposals, writing proposals
• Manage the grant administration process and maintain accurate records of funding opportunities and applications in the fundraising calendar.

Commissioned Work & Tendering Support:

• Assist in researching and identifying opportunities for commissioned work.
• Support the preparation of tender documents and proposals, including gathering necessary information, budgeting and formatting submissions.
• Provide administrative support for contract negotiation and agreement finalisation.

Community Share Capital

• Draft community share offer brochures and associated documentation
• Support the implementation of strategies to raise community share capital.
• Assist in planning and executing share offer campaigns, including preparing marketing materials and organising investor events.

Develop and Maintain Relationships

Skills & Experience:

The ability to imagine and innovate and thereby build fundable project-based solutions working in partnership with stakeholders is more important that fundraising experience per se. This post would suit an Energy Policy graduate that has experience of either community energy or journalism (and therefore brings strong writing skills) or environmental projects

• Knowledge of the Energy Sector: Understand the energy markets and the energy industry. Also bring a good understanding of community energy, fuel poverty, and energy efficiency
• Strong Writing Skills: Ability to write clear, concise, and compelling content for proposals, reports, and communications.

• Excell Skills: Excellent Excel skills and the ability to calculate project budgets

As a Marketing Executive in the Legacy and In Memory Giving Marketing Team, you'll specialise in the planning and delivery of campaigns, developing supporter engagement and specific onward journeys to encourage emotional connections and future legacy giving. This team supports the RNLI by raising funds through gifts left to our charity in Wills and in memory giving. This is an important time for the RNLI’s Legacy and In Memory fundraising team. With 6 out of 10 lifeboat launches funded by legacies, this will be a key area of focus for the charity going forwards.

Your role

As a Marketing Executive, you will be tasked with focusing on the following areas:

• Supporting Marketing Managers to deliver marketing campaigns, projects, and other fundraising activity.
• Campaign planning, briefing and administration on a range of channels, from print to digital.
• Supporting on campaign delivery and briefing our in-house creative and digital teams.
• Building and maintaining excellent relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, volunteers and agencies.
• Understanding and interpreting data to help inform and develop marketing activities.
• Managing purchase orders and timely goods receipting invoices.

About you

You’ll be an experienced and proactive Marketing Executive able to support the development and delivery of impactful, successful campaigns and fundraising activity across legacy giving.

To be considered for the role of our new Marketing Executive, you will need:

• Experience in planning and managing fundraising/marketing campaigns.
• To be capable of building strong and collaborative working relationships, both within the existing team but also with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external. 
• Confidence in understanding campaign performance data and communicating results and optimisations to stakeholders.
• Proven experience of working across multiple projects to tight deadlines.
• To have excellent communication skills (both spoken and written).
• An understanding of legacy fundraising (desirable).

You'll be bringing a strategic mindset as well as strong practical skills - from writing engaging content, overseeing multimedia production, and optimising email campaigns, to interpreting data in GA4 to improve performance. You should be confident working across various CMS platforms and multiple channels, with an eye for accessible, user-focused design and messaging.

• Identify and shape new funding opportunities across a broad portfolio, including youth employability, mental health, creative skills, and inclusion
• Collaborate closely with colleagues across Fundraising, Programmes, and Evaluation to ensure projects are designed with purpose, evidence, and impact
• Represent Roundhouse confidently and professionally in meetings with trustees, funders, and senior stakeholders

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Proven success in securing high five- or six-figure grants from trusts, foundations, or statutory funders
• Strong track record of creatively packaging compelling cases for support that align funder interests with organisational priorities
• Experience managing and growing funder relationships with a strategic and entrepreneurial approach
• Experience managing teams (formal or dotted-line) with a collaborative and supportive leadership style
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a skilled storyteller capable of crafting persuasive funding proposals and impactful reports
• Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders, including board members, funders, and programme leads
• Experience in youth sectors is desirable, as is familiarity with funders such as Paul Hamlyn Foundation, Garfield Weston, and bigger strategic funders
• A strategic thinker with energy, creativity, and autonomy, comfortable working in an environment where innovation and adaptability are essential

Responsibilities of our Programme Manager - Technical:

- Lead, plan, and deliver strategically significant technical programmes across the organisation

- Collaborate closely with the Change & Project Management Team and Head of IT & Data

- Apply structured programme management methodologies to ensure delivery within scope, schedule, and budget

- Drive meaningful and sustainable organisational change through programme outcomes.

- Support the implementation of IT foundations work, bridging technical execution and strategic oversight

- Provide subject matter expertise in IT projects and digital transformation initiatives.

- Operate as a hands-on leader, ensuring alignment between technical delivery and strategic goals

About the Change team:

The Change and PMO team sit within the Finance & Shared Services Directorate.  The team are responsible for the development and delivery of strategic projects and programmes and the successful adoption of change at Cats Protection. It’s a very exciting time to join Cats Protection, with an ambitious 10-year strategy and significant investment in the areas of change and improvement required to get us there.

What we’re looking for in our Programme Manager - Technical:

- recognised programme management qualification

- Solid IT knowledge, with understanding of key functions and their role in successful project delivery

- expert in IT and digital transformation, with experience in a similar role

- experience of designing strong change management techniques into programmes

- experienced in embedding effective change management into programme design

- experienced in programme design, reporting, and managing complex multi-project environments with interdependencies and diverse stakeholders

- experienced in managing and developing teams in both direct and matrix environments

- confident engaging with technical specialists on various technical matters

This is a key role supporting the Supplier and Fulfilment Manager to ensure our retail operations run smoothly. You will be the link between our suppliers and our retail outlets, ensuring that products are delivered on time and in perfect condition. 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Coordinating with suppliers to manage inventory levels and ensure timely deliveries. 
• Monitoring and tracking shipments to ensure they meet quality and quantity standards. 
• Resolving any issues related to supplier deliveries and fulfilment processes. 
• Collaborating with the retail team to forecast demand and manage stock levels. 
• Maintaining accurate records of supplier transactions and inventory levels. 

About you 
 
We are looking for a well organised individual with retail and logistics knowledge.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in retail or logistics.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. 

Working arrangements 

Please note this is a part-time position working 14 hours. These can be worked over 2 or 3 days. 

This is a hybrid role, where your work will be split between your home and at least one day per week, on average, in our London or Northampton office. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.
