Ivy Rock Partners are pleased to be working with an outstanding Multi Academy Trust to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their team, reporting to the Financial Controller on a 12 month fixed term contract.

They are looking for someone to work with the Audit Lead and the Financial Controller support the delivery of the Audit and ensure financial statements are prepared for both internal and external consumption.

This is a hybrid role working 3 days in their office based in East Croydon.

This role would be perfect for someone who is passionate about developing their skills in an excellent organisation.

Main responsibilities:

• Prepare balance sheet control accounts.
• Consolidate all grant income remittances for Government income.
• Prepare monthly income and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure bank reconciliations are completed.
• Provide support on reconciling Fixed assets registers for all schools and head office.
• Create audit packs for auditors and work on queries from the auditors

You will:

• Be fully qualified
• Be experienced in production of month end accounts.
• Have strong reconciliation and data analysis skills.
• Experienced in preparing month end journals, including departmental recharges
• Have strong excel skills and experience of using a variety of software packages to generate reports
• Have excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Have a professional "cando" attitude and work ethic
• Have excellent time management skills

Experience of the education sector is desirable but not essential.

Senior Finance Executive

Duration: 3-Months Temporary
Working Hours: 9am-5pm (35 per week)
Hybrid: 1 day per week in the office, due to upcoming office move, there will be weeks this role will be full remote.
Location: Fenchurch Street
Start: ASAP
Pay: £20 per hour plus £2.41 per hour holiday pay (Equivalent to annual salary of £36,400 FTE plus holiday pay)

Charity People are delighted to be working with a leading professional body. They provide globally recognised qualifications and training. Due to a busy period, there is an opportunity to join the Finance Team for a period of 3 months.

As a Senior Finance Executive, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records during the year-end audit preparation process. This position requires strong analytical skills and strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare reconciliation schedules for accruals and pre-payments; reconciling deferred income; undertaking balance reconciliations and cash-flow forecasting.
* Reconcile the financial ledgers and ensure all accounting records are accurate and up to date.
* Assist with monthly bank reconciliations.
* Reconcile data between Sage 200 and other sources of information.
* Prepare supporting schedules in preparation for the year-end audit so that a first draft of the annual accounts can be prepared and reviewed with the Financial Controller.
* Prepare P11D's and PAYE Settlement Agreements, ensuring that the correct expenses are recorded and making payments where necessary to ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.
* Work closely with Finance Executive, Finance Assistant, and Finance Manager.
* Assist in additional tasks given by the Financial Controller.

Knowledge and Skills:
* The post holder must be part qualified accountant.
* Be proficient in the use of financial software packages (ideally Sage 200), customer relationship management databases, and Office.
* The post holder must be particularly skilled in the use of Excel - Vlookups, pivot tables, formulae including conditional formatting, tables, what if analysis, cell formatting.
* Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Have excellent organisational and time management skills and be able to prioritise effectively.
* Have an analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
* Have a strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in the work output.
* Have a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and audit procedures (ideally experience of preparation of year-end supporting documents).
* Ideally, the post holder will have experience of preparing VAT returns for partially exempt organisations.

Our Finance Team is expanding and we have an exciting opportunity available for a Management Accountant! You will be part of our finance team and will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, assisting annual budgeting and restricted funding income. This is to provide support in decision making across relevant areas of the organisation and to continuously improve the efficiency and quality of what we do to support other functions in driving efficiencies and reducing costs.

You will report into the Financial Controller and will work as part of a team alongside our experienced and knowledgeable Finance Business Partners.

Title: Management Accountant

Salary: £47,397 per year FTE 

Contract: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Hours: 35 hours per week

Location: Based in London but with extremely flexible home-working available in line with Crisis’ Hybrid Working policy

About the role

As management accountant, you will –

• Produce accurate monthly management accounts for the organisation
• Assist forecasts and budgets in liaison with the Finance Business Partners and budget managers providing support and advice for new projects/contracts when required. Applicants will need a keen eye for detail!
• Manage and plan restricted funding ensuring funds are spent in accordance with supporter requirements.
• Assist in year-end statutory audit process

About you

To be successful in this role you will have ACCA/ CIMA or equivalent CCAB recognised accounting qualification, or working towards such a qualification, or can demonstrate being qualified by experience. The ideal candidate for this role will

• Be a self-starter with an excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide industry-leading customer service to all internal and external customers.
• Have strong interpersonal skills are required to liaise confidently with other parts of the Business 
• Have an inquiring and analytical mind, and be able to demonstrate good attention to detail

To support this mission, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to help drive our new commercial strategy and increase our income from business and commercial activity.

Main Role Responsibilities

• To work with the Head of Commercial and Events on the development of the commercial strategy with the support of Trustees, the senior leadership team, members and other staff and stakeholders as necessary. 
• To be responsible for identifying and delivering key income streams, as outlined in the commercial strategy to meet agreed financial targets and KPIs.
• To manage existing and develop new relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfactions whilst achieving and maximising income opportunities. 
• Measure and evaluate the success of the commercial strategy business development and income generation workstreams.
• To represent the NFCC to corporate audiences and at corporate events, delivering pitches and presentations.
• To continually be researching new business opportunities for specific target markets. 
• To develop new corporate partnerships through relationship building.
• To be responsible for the account management of appropriate partnerships and provide the highest level of relationship management.
• Preparation of reports, briefing papers and other information on various matters, when required.to the senior management team and Trustees including liaison with senior members and officers across the National Fire Chiefs Council, other relevant staff across Fire and Rescue Services.
• Act as liaison and first point of contact for commercial enquiries into the NFCC and  dealing with them as appropriate. Enquiries may be from within the organisation, other fire and rescue services or elsewhere. 
• To create and assist in the drafting of timely and well-informed reports, business cases and provide advice regarding commercial developments.
• Develop an effective network with Fire and Rescue Service sector groups and other internal and external stakeholders. 
• Establish and maintain management processes and systems that provide for clear and understandable management information.

MLC Partners are supporting a Central London based organisation within the Higher Education sector, to recruit a Finance Transformation Programme Officer on a 12-month fixed term contract. We are seeking an experienced Project Officer with a strong financial background to coordinate and deliver on various projects, contributing to the improvement and transformation of the Finance department.

This full-time position commences immediately, with hybrid working in Central London.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working closely with senior management to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes and budgets for projects
• To perform various coordinating tasks (scheduling and risk management), along with administrative duties, maintaining project documentation and handling financial queries
• Help prepare budgets, analyse risks and opportunities
• Support the creation and delivery of processes, policies, and procedures
• Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget and meet high quality standards
• Provide general administrative support to the Director of Finance as requested

Key skillset criteria:

• An understanding of financial principles, including accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting
• Proven experience in creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, dashboard, plans, and reports
• An ability to prioritise workload and deadlines, collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate financial insights effectively
• Prince2 certification is highly desirable
• QBE/PQ/Q is highly desirable
