About the role

As Marketing Manager (Telemarketing & Regular Giving Growth), you will develop and deliver effective telemarketing and cross-channel campaigns to grow the value of our Regular Giving base. By understanding donor motivations, you will deliver campaigns that prompt action and drive income through upgrade, conversion, cross-sell, winback, reactivation, and stewardship activity.

You will work within a multi-disciplinary squad, collaborate closely with colleagues across Public Impact, and manage relationships with external agencies to deliver engaging, data-driven campaigns that keep our supporters at the heart of everything we do.

In this role, you will:

• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary squad to engage supporters and grow the lifetime value of our Regular Giving base, using data and insight to understand audience needs and motivations.
• Plan and deliver telemarketing campaigns with a multi-channel approach to achieve ambitious regular giving growth income and donor conversion targets.
• Drive upgrade, cross-sell, reactivation, winback and conversion telemarketing campaigns utilising Email, Direct Mail, and SMS, ensuring optimal performance and return on investment.
• Develop inspiring, audience-focused creative and calling guides, working with internal teams and external agencies to deliver high-quality supporter experiences.
• Collaborate with data and insight teams to develop robust campaign selections, embedding test-and-learn principles to improve results.
• Monitor and analyse campaign performance, sharing insights and learnings to inform future activity.

Home-Start Epsom, Ewell and Banstead is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families and children.  Our team of trained staff and volunteers provide regular emotional support and practical help to families in their own homes and in groups throughout the community.

Scripture Union are looking to appoint two Content Creators: One specialising in under 11s & families and one specialising in Young People.  You will see that our current portfolio is extensive, but we would like to ensure that we add to it with focused material (whether digital or physical, whether free or paid for).  You will both be involved in the creation of new content and in contracting other specialists who have skills in communicating to children and young people that we would like to develop.  Also, promoting those resources at various conferences and festivals to complement the work of our marketing team. 

Working Patterns

The role is remote with some travel to our Head Office at Trinity House Milton Keynes to collaborate face to face with the rest of the team. 

Part Time options can also be considered, but we will give priority to those who can work at least three days a week and a commitment for a physical presence in Milton Keynes as the role requires but no more than once weekly.   

Also, flexible working may be necessary when promoting resources.

Role Description:

Prospect Research & Lead Generation

· Conduct comprehensive desk-based research to identify new grant, trust, and foundation funding opportunities.

· Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective funders aligned with strategic priorities.

· Assess and prioritise prospects based on fit, likelihood, and potential value.

Bid Writing & Income Generation

· Lead the development and submission of high-quality funding applications to trusts, foundations, and grant-making bodies.

· Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and project details for compelling proposals.

· Monitor deadlines and proactively plan submissions to maximise success rates.

Grant Management & Impact Reporting

· Manage a portfolio of secured grants, ensuring compliance with funding requirements.

· Track and deliver funder required reports for each grant received.

About the role

You will be the first point of contact for the organisation, supporters, potential supporters and people seeking information about Shelter’s work. You will provide information on our work and housing/homelessness to supporters and members of the public, act on supporter requests and take part in fundraising administration.  Maintaining accurate supporter records, liaising with other departments when necessary and handle any complaints about services and fundraising activity will also be key parts of the role.

About you

With excellent communication and administration skills, gained working in a customer service environment, including handling complaints, you will have experience of reviewing, updating and relaying information from various databases. Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, email and the internet and a strong attention to detail and accuracy are also required. An understanding of how the Helpdesk service impacts on the Shelter brand will also be important as well as having resilience dealing with enquiries that may be difficult in nature.

About the Team 

Following the appointment of this role, the Supporter Helpdesk will be made up of five people, a Team Leader and four part time Officers. We are based in Sheffield along with Shelter’s national housing advice helpline. While the team doesn’t provide housing advice we respond to a wide variety of enquiries about Shelter and its work including sign posting to our service where needed.

Main Responsibilities

• To develop, deliver and monitor plans for fundraising across a broad range of activities and products, working to ensure income generation targets are met.
