We're looking for an inspirational person to join us as an Assistant Shop Manager in our Shelter Pop Up Shop in Brighton. This is an exciting opportunity, and we'd like you to join us to help raise vital funds for homeless and badly housed people.

You will work closely with the Shop Manager to ensure the shop looks welcoming, visually appealing and the team of volunteers are motivated and keen to engage with customers and maximise sales.

The service forms part of Hywel Dda University Health Board’s mental health plan. The service aims to provide low-level support, for mild to moderate mental health and well-being issues, diverting demand away from primary and secondary health care services.

This service will require an agile and flexible approach, utilising both regulated and unregulated in-home service providers. An understanding of the mental health and well-being issues affecting older people is desirable as is attention to detail.

The accreditation is then published for families, individuals and professionals to help inform their choices when identifying suitable provision for brain injury survivors. Our collaborative and supportive accreditation process guides units through every step towards achieving and maintaining exemplary service standards.

The Approved Provider Associate Manager will involve, conducting and writing assessments and working with their Manager to manage Lead Assessors, who are based around the UK and the Service User Perspective Assessors, who are either brain injury survivors, or family members/ carers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Website: Developing and updating SAT-7’s websites as inspiring platforms to raise profile, income and engagement.

Emails: Work with colleagues in the Communications Team and across the organisation to build, test and send responsive email templates for all SAT-7 UK’s email requirements (meeting SAT-7’s brand guidelines and conforming to industry standards). Use email marketing tool DotDigital to develop automated communications that strengthen supporter engagement and convert recipients into committed donors.

Citizen has partnered with Resurgo to deliver the Spear programme in the heart of South Wales.

They are looking for a new Assistant Coach, to work alongside the Centre Manager, as part of the team at Citizen Church to deliver the Spear Programme, equipping and empowering unemployed 16–24 year olds to overcome barriers to employment and turn their lives around by moving into sustainable work or further education.

The important stuff 

Salary: £21,500 p.a. pro rata for part-time role (£10,750) 

Hours: Part time, 2.5 days per week, between 9.30am – 5.30pm, Tuesday – Thursday (with some flexibility and occasional evening or weekend work for events such as Spear Celebrations)

Location: Citizen Church, Cardiff

Key Responsibilities

Spear Programme

• Lead group sessions of up to 10 young people, using coaching skills to transform their mindsets, and to maximise their potential in stepping into the world of work
• Prepare and deliver coaching sessions on a weekly basis and find creative ways of developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees. This includes running application workshops with past Trainees as well as maintaining records and reporting on statistics.

Relationship management

• Build and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, and other organisations
• You will support with job fairs, mock interview days and welcoming external visitors to the centre

Church Community

• The Spear Coach is directly employed by Citizen Church, meaning you are part of a vibrant church staff team and submerged in an exciting faith community
• Help to raise the profile of the Spear programme within Citizen Church and build a network of supporters and volunteers from the congregation
• Other ad hoc church responsibilities from time to time.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly skilled Training Development Manager to join our small, friendly and hard-working team.

We are Laurelle Brown Training and Consultancy (LBTC), an independent consultancy founded in 2017, as a response to the persistent challenges and discrimination faced by racialised children across the services and support systems they rely on. We collaborate with partners to strengthen equity, diversity and inclusion across complex systems for children.

We are a dynamic and busy consultancy, with 5 staff members, and a pool of associate consultants and trainers that support the delivery of our work. We do: (1) Learning and development, (2) Facilitation, (3) Change and transformation, and (4) Evidence and insight. Our team work remotely and attend team meetings in London (where the company is based) a couple of times a year, and deliver in-person services across the UK all year round.

The role

• Training development and delivery – Develop, create and deliver sector-leading training, virtual, in-person and e-learning, while overseeing allocation and delivery of all training bookings. Leading on internal EDI training and building relationships with clients and partners.
• Quality assurance and impact – Work with stakeholders to develop impact and evaluation methods and reporting. Developing and implementing training model and relevant assurance processes and tools, including learning journeys.
• Associate management – Develop and maintain associate management framework, build, manage and support high-performing team, and execute strategy.
• Leadership and organisational development – Use knowledge and experience to provide strategic thought advice and leadership, delivery special projects with fresh ideas, insights and solutions, contribute to business development and strategy.

About you

We’re looking for a Training Development Manager with technical and knowledge skills. Someone who can design, and deliver, high-impact training and facilitation for audiences across statutory, voluntary and community sectors. You will develop our Associate Strategy, in addition to effective, collaborative and innovative operational practices, in alignment with our methodology.

You will have successfully developed, implemented, and evaluated short and long-term training programmes in the children and young people sector; clearing obstacles to delivery; engaging diverse audiences, including senior leaders; co-facilitating; designing for impact and detail; managing trainers; and reflecting and applying learning for continuous improvement.

This role is a great match for a strategic thinker with strong virtual working skills, an adeptness for fast-paced environments and deep understanding of the impact of structural inequalities on child welfare systems, workforces and outcomes in the UK.

 Recruitment process

We break it up into 3 stages:

1. A skill-based task to complete and present at virtual panel interview (1 week to prepare).
2. A virtual panel interview where you will discuss your experience and skills with our Director, Business Manager and an Associate (1 hour) - scheduled for Tuesday 25 June 2024.
3. An in-person panel interview you will demonstrate your training/facilitation skills with our Director and an LBTC partner (30 minutes) - scheduled for Tuesday 4 July 2024 in London.

The Membership officer will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and successful membership journey for FSC members. This role will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of member activities and events. The role will also contribute to a culture of continual learning through gathering and analysing member feedback and implementing changes as part of FSC’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Framework.

The successful candidate must be able to self-manage projects and tasks to completion. This role reports to the FSC Executive Director but works closely with other members of the team.

FSC’s team of Safeguarding Advisors bring context-specific knowledge and expertise to ensure our work reflects the specific opportunities and challenges in embedding safeguarding across distinct legal, social and cultural contexts.

UK funders represent a significant proportion of overall FSC membership, and the number of members is likely to grow in the future. In order to meet the needs of UK members, it is essential that the resources and technical support provided by FSC, reflects the specific legal and regulatory requirements across the four home nations.

Reporting to the Technical Director, the Safeguarding Advisor – UK will play a key role in developing and delivering FSC’s strategy in the UK. In addition to developing and delivering technical support and training, the Regional Advisor will be responsible for identifying and implementing new ways to raise awareness and improve safeguarding practice among funders in the UK.

Role Overview:​​

• Provide infrastructure support to local voluntary and community sector (VCS) groups and social enterprises. ​

• Engage in one-on-one and outreach meetings to better support community needs. ​

• Develop and manage VCSE networks focusing on key themes like Children, Families, and Young People, Health and Wellbeing, Digital Isolation, and Safeguarding. ​​

Key Responsibilities:​​

• Develop and oversee the implementation of detailed work plans for the development and funding advice service. ​

• Assist VCS organisations with monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating their impact. ​

• Provide guidance on funding streams, review proposals, and offer feedback. ​

• Advise on legal structures, policies, and charity registration processes. ​

• Planned and delivered training programs in collaboration with EHCVS staff or external trainers. ​

• Promote best practices and support the development of business plans, fundraising strategies, and quality assurance policies. ​​

Network Development:​​

• Lead the development and promotion of a VCSE network in Ealing. ​

• Maintain and expand the membership database. ​

• Organise and facilitate network meetings and produce a monthly E-News. ​

• Support the development of local VCS networks and ensure effective communication through regular news updates and an online community calendar. ​​

Other Duties ​​

• Assist in producing briefings, information, and web material. ​

• Assist in producing monitoring and evaluation information. ​

• Assist in developing and organising events. ​

• Represent Ealing & Hounslow CVS at meetings and events relevant to your project. ​

• Undertake other related project duties as may be required. ​

• Work in cooperation with other members of the staff team of EHCVS and attend appropriate internal and external meetings. ​

• Support EHCVS with other project developments and funding applications to funders. Undertake occasional additional duties commensurate with the responsibilities of the post as identified by EHCVS’s Board of Trustees​

Monitoring and Evaluation ​​

• Record monitoring information; review the progress of current projects every week and manage upwards. ​

• ​Prepare written evaluation reports for EHCVS projects and services. ​

• ​Support the Funding and Development Manager with monitoring information collated from service as and when required. ​

• ​Weekly and monthly reporting. ​

Corporate Responsibilities ​​

The post holder will be employed by Ealing & Hounslow CVS and supervised and managed by the. The Funding and Group Development Manager ​​

• Participate in regular supervision, team meetings, and organization-wide staff meetings. ​​

• An individual induction and training plan will be agreed upon. ​
