Sitting on the Fundraising SLT and leading the team of four, the Head of Corporate will bring a new business lens to the portfolio, driving new brand and commercial, strategic and charity of the year partnerships. Personally leading on and supporting the Senior Partnerships Manager in developing new business will be a key element of the role, including building propositions around key campaign moments. We are looking for a Community Fundraiser with a proven track record of achieving ambitious community fundraising targets. You will be an excellent communicator and an energetic self-starter. You are comfortable with working independently, but ready to utilise the support of colleagues across the Fund. You are perceptive and versatile and will have the ability to translate our story into rich content and compelling scenarios inspiring people to work with us. Above all, you naturally build rapport to quickly establish relationships and develop innovative partnerships.
You will equally be as comfortable supporting members of the RAF family who want to fundraise, as you will presenting to a room full of students, a company or potential volunteers. No one day will be the same and you will be the local face and voice of the Fund on the ground. You will be responsible for raising income through existing networks of supporters, volunteers and building new relationships within the RAF, community groups and local business.

About the role

Your key responsibilities include:

- Record all donations to Salesforce, ensuring the accurate coding of income to the correct source and supporter.
- Administer new Direct Debit instructions.
- Support monthly and quarterly reports demonstrating fundraising income received against budget, to inform the management team and provide accurate forecasting.

Purpose of Job:
The postholder plays a key role in managing the alumni network, with a specific emphasis on events and volunteer management, to actively engage alumni and stakeholders with Queen Mary’s Grammar School. The goal is to continuously enhance the value and contributions from stakeholders in alignment with Queen Mary’s Grammar School’s strategic priorities.
Ultimately, this role is designed to support the school’s strategic plan by delivering philanthropic income and other forms of financial and non-financial support from alumni and other stakeholders. Main responsibilities:

We’re looking for a qualified accountant to join our team and provide operational leadership for the Charity’s Finance function, supporting the Director of Finance & Governance and providing line management for our friendly finance team.
You will be responsible for ensuring The Charity complies with statutory requirements, operates effective controls, provides meaningful insight on financial matters and adapts processes to suit our growing Charity.
You will take a lead on statutory compliance such as audit, tax and Charity Commission submissions. You will work with the Finance Manager to ensure the integrity of finance records and systems, the accurate and timely production of monthly management accounts, making of payments to Team Members and suppliers and ad hoc reporting.
You will take a leading role in budget preparations and forecasting.
Who we’re looking for:
A qualified accountant with at least five years’ experience in a similar role from any sector. You will have experience of and be comfortable with filing VAT returns, preparing statutory accounts, dealing with auditors, and managing a small team.
