About the role:
The role of Homicide Caseworker is varied, demanding and rewarding; no two days are the same and you will thrive on this challenge. You will work closely with the Major Crime Police Units, Senior Investigators and Family Liaison Officers, you will provide a pivotal role to support clients through the Criminal Justice System.

About the role:
This role is home-based and requires regular travel within the Cumberland area, due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. As a caseworker, you will:
Effectively manage a caseload of self-referrals or referred service users, delivering excellent services which support the commissioners and their service goals to victims.
Ensure each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs, keeping complex needs central to all processes and decisions
Undertake risk and needs assessments to address the specific needs of the client in line with VS operating procedures. To follow relevant safeguarding policies and procedures, working with safeguarding leads and other agencies to ensure an integrated approach to address any safeguarding concerns.
Provide information and advocacy to enable service users to navigate and understand the criminal justice process and ensure their rights are upheld in accordance with the Victims Code of Practice this could include criminal, legal and if relevant, civil remedies to service users.
You will need:
- Experience of working with vulnerable adults and/or families
- Understanding and knowledge of an active commitment to promoting equal opportunities, inclusion and diversity

About the role:
This role is based at our West Bromwich office with the option of hybrid working from home. Travel across the area is required, travelling time is within working hours & expenses are reimbursed. The hours for this role are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 8am to 4pm & Tuesday 12pm to 8pm.

Purpose of this role
The primary purpose of this role is to deliver activities to young people within the school that contribute towards the development of happy, thriving and resilient young adults. The role will promote their positive school experience and contributions to society.

About the role:
This hybrid role is based in Shoreham by Sea, which includes a combination of home and office-based working as well as regularly meeting with clients across Sussex at safe locations of their choosing and attending meetings as required.

Job Summary
The HIP Manager manages the Hackney and Islington Programme (HIP); a catalyst programme that galvanizes growth across the Hackney and Islington boroughs through fostering strategic and sustainable partnerships and church plants, resulting in a mixed ecology of churches that are increasingly young, culturally diverse, impacting low-income communities, and seeing a renewal of catholic mission.

· Support the Archdeacon of Hackney in delivering HIP and managing priorities.
· Establish and manage programme management systems to track changes.
· Oversee recruitment and management of HIP staff, leaders, and volunteers.

As a Housing Rights Worker, you’ll be responsible for delivering high quality housing advice and advocacy in our offices, in community settings and remotely in line with local pressing issues. THE IMPACT YOU WILL HAVE
As the Peer Support Manager you will be responsible for managing the engagement and support of the community – family, friends, loved ones and colleagues – of people affected when someone goes missing. You will lead the co-produced activities, participation and peer support initiatives with people impacted by a disappearance. Our current offer includes three annual event days, the Missing People Choir and online community spaces.
You will play a key role in facilitating families to contribute and ‘be in the lead’ in influencing the charity’s work, and in representing the needs of families across the charity. You will create new engagement practices and growth in our co-design and co-delivery of community events to build strong, sustained peer connections and a menu of group engagement opportunities.
We know that families often want to support the charity through fundraising and donations, and you will connect families with the fundraising team to help them achieve this.
You will:
• Support existing service delivery through co-designing and co-delivering annual community events, as well as our online community spaces;
• Take a hands approach to events, providing on-the-day management and support;
• Manage trials of new groups, initiatives and consultation which are co-produced or initiated by our community to meet their needs;
• Develop and manage Peer Facilitators through training members of the community to lead and co-facilitate support sessions and events.
• Lead on setting up new services: recruiting and training staff, writing operating procedures and arranging data capture;
• Support the creation and schedule of in person and online regular events, working alongside the Family Support Team.
• Develop a menu of activities and process for new community-led initiatives;

About the role:
This is a hybrid role.
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as the Triage and Early Interventions Officer for the new Thames Valley Adults Victim Service. You will work closely and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, Thames Valley Police, criminal justice agencies as well as other statutory agencies and third sector organisations across the Thames Valley.
Funded by the Office of Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley the Adults Victims Service will provide emotional and practical support to adult victims of any crime. Support will be delivered in an innovative manner primarily through specialist group work provision - alongside online and telephone caseworker support. It will also play a vital role in making victims aware of crime and supporting agencies support victims of crime.
Your role will involve supporting people on the telephone, by text or email from a variety of different backgrounds, all with different experiences. You will process initial referrals received from the PCC's Victim First Hub making initial contact with victim survivors to confirm what type of support best meets their needs and referring them to the support. Your role will include case creation and updating systems. No two days will be the same and you will have the communication skills and resilient nature to help those dealing with trauma and the effects of crime, who may have gone through a life-changing experience.
You will need to be:
Confident, compassionate and empathic person who can work well under pressure. You will be speaking to people who may be upset, angry or in emotional difficulties and will need to be composed, empathic and be able to quickly assess situations.
You will be confident in using your IT skills to work on a case management system, access phone and online systems, email and Microsoft Office programmes.

Role responsibilities
As the Initial Support Lead, you will:

work innovatively to shape the concept of an Initial Support Pathway, with a view to assisting agencies in identifying, safeguarding, and supporting potential adult victims. This may require the delivery of awareness raising sessions, whilst also working closely with First Responders to tactically advise in a manner that secures the best outcome for victims.

lead on the provision of direct support to potential victims of trafficking, ensuring they receive independent advocacy, helping them navigate services, benefits, and the advice they need.
The Initial Support Pathway will provide short-term support to adults who have experienced exploitation. The pathway initially focuses on the individual’s basic needs such as safety, food, clothing, accommodation, subsistence, and access to medical services. The project then considers each individual’s rights and entitlement to support as a potential victim of modern slavery. The key principle of the project is informed choice for the individual. Although the initial support is short and temporary, the long-term impacts for victims can be significant.
Essential role requirements

Experience in health, social work, or working with vulnerable adults.

Knowledge of the impact of modern slavery and human trafficking on an individual.
-
A good understanding and awareness of the rights and entitlements (including immigration, housing, and benefits legislation) of migrants, trafficked persons, asylum seekers and refugees.

Able to work autonomously and take initiative working under pressure.
-
To provide trauma informed care.
-
Experience of developing service delivery including partnership engagement.
-
Take a lead approach in multi-disciplinary settings ensuring best outcomes for individuals.
-
Proven experience of carrying out needs and/or risk assessments and the support planning process.
-
An empathetic and compassionate outlook, whilst being able to maintain professional boundaries with those you work with.

Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with a range of audiences.

Travel across Derby and Derbyshire is key to this role. The candidate will need to have a vehicle and valid driving licence. Mileage costs to be reimbursed.

Good people skills especially with those whom English is not the first language.

Ability to communicate with individuals via interpreters.
-
Discretion and work in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

Some occasional weekend and evening work may be required.
Desirable role requirements

Experience of adult safeguarding would be advantageous.

Good understanding of the trafficking care standards and how they underpin practice.

Awareness of emerging themes in the Modern Slavery sector

Experience of delivering awareness raising sessions
