Our client is the charity for the working animal of the world. As part of the charity’s ambitious strategic development plans, they are recruiting a Fundraising Relationships Officer. In this role, you will join a fast-paced, agile, and dynamic organisation that is building its global reach and impact to meet the growing need for its support.

Your key responsibilities include:

• High value donor and corporate fundraising programme support.
• Project manage high-value donor and corporate fundraising and engagement activities, including delivering appeals, submissions, and enquiries.
• Administer the high-value donor thanking programme across the trust, legacy, and corporate fundraising, ensuring exemplary stewardship.
• Gather and analyse information about current and prospective high-value donors and corporates from GDPR-compliant sources such as publicly available websites and the supporter database.
• Contribute to research on donors and corporates, to enable targeted approaches.
• Maintain the prospect pipeline, identifying potential donors and corporate partners to ensure the Fundraising Relationships programme continues to grow.
• Project manage fundraising events, taking an active role at each event, and ensuring all aspects of the event run with efficiency.
• Project-manage the development and production of fundraising and marketing materials, to support high-value donor and corporate activities.
• Provide general administrative support such as drafting documents, updating policies and procedures, and meeting minutes, dealing with telephone queries, data entry etc.

Your knowledge:

• Knowledge of fundraising principles and practices.

Your experience:

• Experience of working in a busy professional environment as administrator, fundraiser, researcher, or project manager on a variety of projects.
• Experience of providing exemplary administrative support and maintaining effective administrative systems and procedures.

• Experience of building working relationships with a diverse range of people at all levels of seniority.

Responsibilities include:

Leadership, Strategy and Governance

• To be an active member of the Made in Hackney Senior Leadership Team, working together to galvanise the organisation behind our strategic plan.
• To contribute to strategic discussions on the future direction of the organisation.

• To develop and execute an annual fundraising strategy: building a sustainable portfolio consisting of grants and donations from individuals, corporates, trusts and foundations, to ensure long-term sustainable funding of activities.
• To research and prospect future funders.
• To maintain precise and up-to-date records on current and potential supporters and prospects.

Donor stewardship & reporting

• To retain current donors and maximise fundraising opportunities, including delivering a programme of appropriate stewardship opportunities with the core team.
• To work with the team to co-design programmes and their evaluation requirements to ensure the organisation meets the grant funders' requirements. 
• To complete reporting to grant funders, including developing report templates, creating reports, case studies, and other administrative requirements. 

Communications

• To input into MIH’S communications strategy and the planning and implementation of improvements to marketing plans, digital presence and social media strategy to ensure impact and fundraising successes are communicated
• To maintain a stock of impact-focused case studies and success stories and ensure fundraising successes are communicated on social media and online.
• To ensure the robust monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of fundraising strategies and campaigns; providing key input to the annual report and impact report.
• To coordinate fundraising events with the Community Partnerships Manager. 

Line Management

• To have direct line management responsibility for the Community Partnerships Manager and Social Media & Marketing Manager, creating a supportive environment for growth and development.

We’re looking for a Fundraising Officer to develop and foster a legacy pipeline and increase our donations from Trusts and Foundations to help achieve our vision of a wilder Derbyshire.

In this role, you will lead legacy income by initiating, managing and developing a comprehensive programme of cultivation and stewardship activities for legacy pledgers. You will develop and implement a programme to meet our income targets from Trusts and Foundations, writing compelling fundraising bids that tell our story.

Harris Hill is seeking an Interim Corporate Fundraiser to help identify, research, and engage new corporate prospects.

• Coordinate the preparation of budgets, work plans, and other supporting materials for grant applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with donor guidelines.

• Research and identify potential funding opportunities from diverse sources, including trusts and foundations, governments and corporates.
• Collaborate with Girls Not Brides’ internal teams (regional, finance, communications, learning and impact teams) to maximise fundraising opportunities.
   

Outreach events

•  Support the team in the planning and implementation of events and outreach work throughout the year, working with other teams in the Secretariat, our members and partners.
•  Represent Girls Not Brides at meetings, conferences, and events to network with existing and potential donors, to promote the organisation's mission and impact.

Essential experience

• Significant professional experience in a similar level role in the not-for-profit sector, an international/intergovernmental organisation, a social movement, research centre or social enterprise.
• Proven track record of successfully securing grants and donations from diverse sources, with experience in proposal writing, donor cultivation, and grant management.
