To lead the Corporate Fundraising team to raise over £1.5m annually, from existing and new corporate partners, through a clear team strategy, pipeline development, cultivating and managing high-value partnerships and supporting direct line reports. 

12month fixed term (maternity cover) contract.

Responsibilities:

Strategy, budgeting and reporting

• Drive CALM’s corporate fundraising revenue, looking for opportunities to optimise and grow.

• Use data, insight and subject matter expertise to inform strategy, budgeting and reporting.

• Deliver the corporate fundraising strategy, which focuses on partnership growth and extensions, as well as winning new business - keeping CALM’s values, brand, tone of voice and objectives in mind.

• Achieve the annual targets agreed for corporate fundraising.

• Steer product development and ideation to develop engaging and revenue driving opportunities across corporate fundraising.

• Maintain awareness of industry trends and best practice, with a view to use these to increase CALM’s income.

Leadership and Line Management

• Excellent leadership and line management of ~3 team members, supporting them to achieve their objectives and creating a high-performing team.

• Provide regular feedback on team performance against targets to the Head of High Value Fundraising, highlighting risks, mitigation plans and future projections that can help the fundraising team budget with confidence. 

• With guidance and support from the Head of High Value Fundraising, be the ultimate decision maker for all things corporate fundraising including (but not limited to) team processes, workload, priorities, structure and recruitment.

• Build excellent working relationships with internal teams at CALM and collaborate with them effectively.

• Support improvements to working practice, process and knowledge across the High Value team to drive efficiency and improved ROI.

• Consistently demonstrate CALM’s values.

• Adhere to GDPR and be fully conversant with relevant fundraising regulator legislation and guidelines.

Partnership Management

• Support the Corporate Fundraising team in delivering excellent relationship management to all of CALM’s high value partners, with a focus on building long-term, sustainable support and revenue.

• Be responsible for the creation of robust partnership plans from across the team, incorporating the objectives of both the partner and CALM and agreed, realistic fundraising targets.

• Ensure partnership milestones and fundraising targets are monitored, met, reported on and celebrated with key internal and external stakeholders.

• When needed, lead by example and personally provide excellent relationship management to a small number of CALM’s key high-value corporate partners significantly contributing to the corporate fundraising budget and strategy.

• Confidently represent CALM at key meetings and events, where public speaking and the delivery of CALM Champion Workshops may be required.

• Work closely with the Services, Data and MarComms teams to build. engaging impact reports for partners that encourage long-term support.

• Devise sustainable exit strategies for partners that leave behind a lasting legacy for CALM.

New Business

• Together with the Corporate Fundraising team, develop a strong pipeline of new partnership opportunities with a focus on £50k+ multi-year partnerships.

• Lead on, and support the Corporate Fundraising Managers to, cultivate and secure new high-value partnerships, with a focus on five and six figure opportunities in line with our ambitious targets. This could include, but not limited to, prospect research, making proactive approaches, hosting or attending networking events, writing compelling proposals and applications, pitching, leading staff votes and leading on contract negotiations.

Other

• When required, be an active and engaged member of CALM’s EDI Supergroup.

Your profile

Competencies: 

• Significant experience of working in corporate fundraising, with highly developed skills in both new business and account management, and examples of securing and managing six figure corporate partnerships.

• A demonstrable track record of delivering significant financial results against agreed targets and timescales.

• Excellent relationship management skills, with ability to engage effectively with a range of audiences, especially with influential and senior people, both internal and external.

• Ability to direct client facing meetings, getting to the core of what motivates a partner to take action, and present a case for support convincingly.

• Confidence in managing partner expectations and having difficult conversations where necessary, keeping the charity’s best interests at heart.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to develop tailored and compelling applications, presentations and communications.

• Experience in successfully leading fundraising teams to drive income and growth and managing performance.

• Ability to plan strategically, whilst understanding and considering the bigger picture, and implement those plans bringing your team and stakeholders along with you.

About the role:

• Reports to: Head of High Value Fundraising

• Contract: 12 month fixed term contract (maternity cover)

• Based: London Waterloo twice a week (Wednesdays and Thursdays) / Remote Working (Mon, Tues & Fri), 9.30am - 5.30pm.

The Bike Project is fortunate to be supported by a wide range of Trusts & Foundations, Major Donors and Corporates as well as many committed members of the public. In 2023, we took the decision to consolidate and bring in-house our fundraising activity. Over the past twelve months we have worked hard to ensure that we create a virtuous circle in our fundraising and engagement activity, for example, looking at how our corporate partners can engage their employees to support our work.

This is a new role which will lead on major donor fundraising and development of corporate partnerships and earned income through an in-house employee servicing and team away-day offer. As the charity moves forward, it is critical that we strengthen and diversify our unrestricted income streams and this is an exciting opportunity to shape a key are of fundraising that will contribute to that goal and the future sustainability of our charity.  

This role will work closely with the Chief Executive, Head of Marketing and Fundraising and Head of Grants and Impact on a shared approach to fundraising. We work in a joined-up way to ensure that we take full advantage of every opportunity to maximise benefit for our bike recipients. In particular, you will work closely with the Chief Executive to manage some of our most significant relationships, ensuring that our donors and partners are well looked-after, kept up to date on our activities and understand the impact of their support. 

Being a small charity, we work in an agile manner which allows for creative ideas to flourish and new ideas to be implemented quickly. We hold donation sessions weekly out of our London and Birmingham workshops, so there is opportunity to see the impact of your work first hand.

Job Purpose

Reporting to and supported by the Head of Impact, Learning & Organisational Development, this role is instrumental in building a solid foundation for the future of Babbasa.  You will be responsible for trusts/ foundations grants research, applications, administration and impact reporting to funders. You will also work on building relationships with philanthropists and work with the Communications Lead in developing appropriate fundraising communications. 

Core Responsibilities

Fundraising development

• Identify and pursue new funding opportunities for our youth empowerment programmes, as well as for research and innovation opportunities to expand our existing offer.

• Responsible for trust and foundation grant applications, including bid conceptualisation, proposal writing, fundraising budget creation and application review.

• Support / develop relationships with philanthropists with a view to securing major gifts and legacies.

• Maintain and develop authentic and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to effectively steward them.

• Work with and deputise for the Head of Impact, Learning & Organisational Development to steward funders with the aim of achieving Babbasa’s annual revenue target.

Management & Reporting

• Responsible for producing evaluation reports as per each funder’s reporting schedule, working with other team members to ensure that the reporting is accurate and timely.

• Track, review and report progress against the Business Plan to the Head of Impact, Learning & Organisational Development and the wider team using our Monday CRM system.

• Continually review risks, feedback, procedures, strategy and approach to improve profitability.

• Work with the Head of Impact and the wider senior leadership team to understand Babbasa’s strategic direction and priorities.

General Responsibilities

• Ensure young peoples’ comments, voices and suggestions are at the heart of service design and fundraising strategy
• Ensure internal administrative tasks and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner as required by Babbasa and the activity funder.

Person Specification

You are fundraising aware – you know how to research and evaluate appropriate grant fundraising opportunities and manage the process of engagement.  You have knowledge of the fundraising landscape in Bristol and of key funders for youth empowerment,  social mobility and poverty reduction.

You have excellent communication skills – You have outstanding writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to create bespoke fundraising materials for funders.  You are a confident connector with the ability to influence decision making and you have an understanding of the social value and positive impact of Babbasa. 

Stakeholder management / stewardship - You have the ability to develop and maintain relationships and make connections with and between organizations, institutions and individuals. 

Working with others - You work to identify funding gaps in the organisation, scope and plan minor and major projects to address them, and successfully drive fundraising projects to completion, involving and engaging colleagues appropriately throughout. You develop and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders at every level – with the young people on our programmes, with staff in each department, with our external consultants, with our Board and with others.

An exciting position has arisen for an initiative-taking, enthusiastic and well-organised individual to join the Charity team at Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. (Working title King George & Queens Hospital Charity)

EDUCATION FOR ALL MOROCCO has been fundrasing for over two decades, to enable girls living in the High Atlas mountains to access fulltime education, by providing boarding accomodation near to their senior schools.  Five of our six houses were destroyed in the September 2023 High Atlas earthquake. Miraculously they were all empty at the time of the disaster. Due to the extraordinary generosity of donors, EFA has substantial funds to support an extensive program of rebuilding

As Finance & Operations Administrator you will have a key role to play working closely with the trustees and Head of Fundraising & Communications to co-ordinate activities,  to ensure day to day operations in the UK run smoothly.  

The role as advertised covers a broad range of activities. However there will be peaks and troughs of workload. 

This job is for you if you are:

-  A qualified accountant or bookkeeper with experience of Xero ideal (training can be provided).

- Confident working with Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) & Shared drive (eg, GoogleDocs).

- Comfortable working with a variety of IT packages, or learning how to do so 

- Very organised, able to take the initiative, able to work independently.

- Experienced working in a small but ambitious organisation, or are confident you can adapt to such an environment

- Able to be flexible in terms of work load.

In a typical month you’ll:

-  Support the Chair of Finance; preparing monthly accounts. Processing receipts and payments for bank reconciliation; invoices and expense claims.   Filing finance documentation. Maintian the restricted v unrestricted donation records, Gift Aid schedules, HMRC returns.

-  Support  the Head of Fund Raising and Communications, liaising with donors (sending receipts, requests for information), researching potential donors, preparing grant applications, ordering brochures and marketing information. Acting as a day to day point of contact. 

- Support the Chair and Vice Chair of Trustees;  helping to prepare and distribute monthly meeting agendas, supporting papers, co-ordinating virtual meeting schedule, drafting and distributing minutes, .- 

-  Support the Chair of Governance ensuring Trustee and Staff Handbooks (policies and protocols), risk register, are uptodate and accessible via the website portal. Lead the administration process for the recruitment of trustees and staff, including the preparation of candidate packs, advertising, induction. Oversight of the EFA Partnership Agreements.

- Support the Chair of Educaton re liaison with relevant external auditors (safeguarding, health and safety, risk). Linking with Moroccan partners to agree on timing and arrangements for audit visits. Ensuring reports are available to trustees as agreed. 

- General ad hoc support to trustees, staff and external stakeholders as required.

An exciting opportunity has now arisen for an experienced corporate and community fundraiser with a proven track record of securing funds via community and corporate fundraising, to set up a new Community programme in London.

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hrs per week, 5 days to be worked out of 7

About the Role

Reporting to Head of Fundraising and Communications, you'll play a crucial role in raising funds by engaging with SME's and the local community. This role involves developing and implementing fundraising campaigns, cultivating relationships with potential donors, supporting staff fundraising initiatives and coordinating fundraising events. You will collaborate with various stakeholders and build long-term partnerships that contribute to the sustainability and growth of the organisation.

The Youth Zone has developed a targeted funds infrastructure with live impact data established and ready to utilise in funding presentations. It costs £1.7 million a year to run, 90% of which is generated through voluntary donations of which this role will be aiming to contribute £200k in the first 2 years.

You will therefore play a vital role in keeping the charity financially sustainable through the development of local business and community fundraising. You will be given ample scope to test your creative ideas and drive forward income generation, supported by the Head of Fundraising and Communications, the Chief Executive and a forward thinking and engaged Board of Trustees.

About You

Being self-motivated and action orientated, you will be able to create and grow your own pool of potential supporters and thrive on 'making the ask'. As an enthusiastic ambassador, you'll be able to communicate this in an inspiring and tailored way and be comfortable in seeking and securing donations, whilst working alongside colleagues in the team to monitor and steward these donations appropriately.

Knowledge and experience:

Proven track record of generating income from Community and/or Corporate Fundraising. 
Experience of meeting ambitious targets for new business and stewarding. 
Experience of managing a pipeline of potential supporters/donors and aligning your interests with the organisational needs, to maximise gift level. 
Understanding of issues affecting young people and disadvantaged communities.
Understanding and knowledge of White City Community.

The NSPCC’s mission is to end cruelty to children. This is what drives their income generation team to get out there and bring in the funds needed to protect children and prevent abuse.

This largely home-based role is based in the Regional Corporate Partnerships team, which is one of the longest established, regionally based corporate teams in the third sector, with a track record of working with some of the largest and most dynamic businesses in the country.

As Corporate Partnerships Manager – Midlands, you’ll be supported by the Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager (your line manager) and work alongside two Corporate Partnership Managers overseen by Head of Regional Corporate Partnerships. You will manage a varied and exciting portfolio of new and long-standing partners across the Midlands, including supporting on a 7-figure partnership (focused primarily on Midlands region). You will also focus on identifying, developing and winning new corporate support through Charity of the Year, commercial and strategic opportunities.

As Corporate Partnerships Manager – Midlands, you will: 

• Support the corporate fundraising team in your region conveying regional expertise and corporate partnerships knowledge to internal and external stakeholders
• Collaboratively and creatively work towards a corporate partnership team target of c.£200k

An exciting position has arisen to join the fundraising team at Support Through Court - a small social justice charity that packs a big punch. We help increase access to justice for those who, due to severe cuts to legal aid, are forced to face the Civil and Family courts alone and without legal representation, often in life-changing cases such as domestic violence, eviction, and debt. 

This role helps raise vital funds for the charity from partnerships with corporates in the legal world.  You will steward corporate partners, create funding applications and marketing materials, and run events to engage new and existing supporters.

As a small charity, good development opportunities and tailored support are available for staff. We offer flexible working and most fundraising staff have hybrid working arrangements with two days a week at the Royal Courts of Justice, Strand, London, WC2A 2LL.
