We are looking for a creative, dynamic and adaptable corporate fundraising manager with a minimum of three years’ experience or relevant sales experience to develop and deliver a successful corporate fundraising strategy. You will need to have strong interpersonal skills and significant experience of delivering pitches and securing new business, coupled with demonstrable success of securing sponsorship and commercial participation opportunities.
You will have a natural flair and genuine passion for corporate fundraising, be a terrific storyteller with exceptional communication skills to bring this unique world leading cancer centre alive for businesses in an engaging and purposeful way. . The Charity team is responsible for raising millions of pounds each year to ensure Christie patients receive gold standard care and treatment. This includes everything from access to world first clinical trials and receiving radiotherapy in state-of-the-art treatment centres to young adults being cared for in a bespoke age-appropriate centre and being able to offer patients anxiety reducing complementary therapy, or even creative sessions in our art room.

This is concerning because 78% of small charities work on a local level, compared to only 5% of super-major charities. Charity Nest specialises in helping local charities work with big brands, ensuring the charities generate true social impact and the brands deliver on their CSR objectives.
As a Fundraiser, you will be based onsite at various venues and build relationships with the public to raise vital funds through bucket collections to support your assigned charity. You will be supported with full training and equipment for the role and be raising funds through cash and card donations whilst also raising awareness for your assigned charity. With venues across the North West, there are various locations where this role can be based including, Manchester, Preston, Liverpool, Leeds and others.
To be successful as a Fundraiser, you will have strong relationship building skills and be motivated to raise funds for meaningful causes. Ideally this person will have either some sales experience or fundraising experience. This could be from personal fundraisers such as gaining sponsorship for a challenge event, bake sales, or any other type of group or self-led fundraiser. This role will need to be available to work some Saturdays and there is daily travel of 30-90 minutes.
This role is a full-time permanent position that will be based in the North West region, dependent on your location. There is a base pay rate of £70 per day, as well as 35% commission on any funds you have raised each day.

The Role
Building relationships with the fire and rescue services in your area, you’ll become an integral part of the local fire services community. You’ll join a nation-wide team of inspiring and innovative fundraisers, working collaboratively to secure the much-needed income for the Charity.

This newly created role will oversee developing, marketing and managing an individual giving programme that will include one-off donations, regular giving, digital fundraising, appeals and in-memory giving.

About the Role

About the Role
We currently have a variety of volunteer roles including Fundraising Volunteers, Information Hub Volunteers (who support the Charity Hubs around the hospitals), and event volunteers. Work Context:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Community and Events Fundraiser to join a national charity in order to engage with the community served by the charity to develop and implement plans for maximising income and support from individuals, groups and businesses. This will be achieved by working collaboratively with colleagues in the support of the broad income-generating initiatives the Fundraising department delivers, with a key focus on relationship building and management.
As a Senior Community and Events Fundraiser you will:
- Manage, achieve and where possible exceed income and development targets, taking a lead and individual responsibility for specific projects, activities and events.
- Ensure an excellent level of supporter care and stewardship to ensure that relationships with supporters are maintained and developed.
- Project manage open challenges (e.g. London Marathon, skydiving, international bike rides etc.) including looking for new opportunities, liaison with third-party organisers, participant recruitment and participant support.
- Work collaboratively with other teams across Fundraising and MarComms to market and promote fundraising products, activities and events.
- Support the Community Partnerships and Events Lead and contribute to the development of annual plans and budgets.

- Work with Volunteering to recruit and train new volunteers
In order to be successful, you must have experienced :
- experience of fundraising in a community, challenge or mass participant event capacity
- Experience of establishing and maintaining strong relationships with individual fundraisers/supporters and of developing partnerships
- Experience of setting and working to budgets, targets and plans.
- Previous experience of managing staff and/or volunteers.
- Experience of delivering talks and presentations.
- Demonstrable track record in working with different audiences.
- Experience of working as part of a team.
- Understanding of and experience with using CRM databases.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with people at all levels, on the telephone, face to face and in writing.

The Role

The person
The role will suit someone who has had some prior experience in successfully raising funds ideally from trusts and foundations and/or from community fundraising. The role:
As an integral part of the Fundraising and Development team, you will work closely with the rest of our team to secure financial income enabling GMYN to meet its income generation targets. The Grants and Trust Fundraiser will bring their own ideas to seek new grant providers and apply accordingly for delivery and core funding for the charity.

- Keep comprehensive records of all trust and grant fundraising activities and be able to report the impact to funders and stakeholders via various methods.

Personal Specification:
You don't have to have worked in the voluntary youth sector previously. Our aim is to find a suitable candidate that can meet the selection criteria below. This can be from a past/current income generation/bid writer role, or a role with transferable skills.
More importantly we are looking for someone with genuine passion for working for a youth charity. Someone who can join our fundraising team and make a big impression, helping us to achieve our income generation goals.
We want to hire an enthusiastic person who can maintain positive working relationships with various supporters, delivery partners and all stakeholders.
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience of bid writing or other similar income generation work with demonstrable transferable skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken with the ability to present confidently.
- Ability to self-manage, work independently to targets but also join up your work with the rest of the fundraising team.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and workstreams with a “can do” attitude in order to produce positive results.
- Experience and/or understanding of producing impact reports and reporting to various audiences, ideally funders.

- Competent in Microsoft office.
Desirable Criteria:
