 Maximise Giving

You will implement a philanthropic giving strategy that significantly shifts the museums approach towards the generation of substantial philanthropic income and that supports the Museum's vision and mission. You will work collaboratively with the Executive, Board of Trustees and senior leadership team to establish a long-term plan and supporting fundraising strategies that align and help the museum move forward with its objectives.

 Cultivate and Steward Donors

You will actively cultivate and steward relationships with potential and existing donors, for major new, repeat and legacy gifts, significantly raising the profile of Beamish, generating excitement and a desire to support Beamish now and into the future across a range of projects.  These will be supported by stewardship plans that foster mutual trust to secure ongoing support. 

Reputation and Engagement

You will build the profile of the Museum through donor engagement.  You will personally manage a portfolio of prospective donors, guiding them through the cultivation process, and ultimately securing new funding. You will work closely with the CEO building new networks, opening new doors and linking with communities in support of the museum's philanthropic goals and furthering its reputation and that of the sector.

Successful Philanthropy Team

You will ensure a high performing team is in place that supports Beamish’s Philanthropic strategy, imbuing a culture of innovation and enterprise across the museum. The team will ensure day to day delivery of the function, including to trusts and grants, provide excellent customer service, and produce timely data to support and measure the impact of all giving.  The team will champion equality, diversity and sustainability and creating a strong culture of philanthropy throughout Beamish. 

Essential Qualities, Experience and Knowledge

• Significant experience working at a senior level, building strong relationships with supporters who can give at a six/seven figure level.
• Demonstrable extensive networks, including trusts and foundations, corporate partners and high net worth individuals.
• Personal track record of securing six figure donations from Trusts and Foundations
• An excellent communicator who can inspire staff, volunteers and colleagues in taking our philanthropic strategy forwards.

This important role will represent FareShare Sussex & Surrey engaging with corporate partners and key stakeholders such as council leaders, politicians and dignitaries across the region. 

Using your experience in engagement and relationship management you will work to consolidate existing partnerships and seek new opportunities across Sussex & Surrey, working to build strong relationships locally and encourage partnership, donations, sponsorships and corporate volunteering. The development team has an ambitious target of £1 million to raise, through various streams including corporate partnerships, individual giving, trust applications and other fundraising activities each year. The role will manage the corporate income stream and requires collaboration with all income generation to ensure effective management and stewardship of all partners.

You will develop an exciting donor journey which engages and encourages support from businesses and key stakeholders. Working with high-value supporters to maintain a good relationship with the organisation and fostering new partnerships. 

You will also work alongside our food Supply Manager to help provide a holistic partnership with our suppliers, encouraging them to support our work across the ESG / CSR spectrum.

Duties and responsibilities  

Business Development and Relationship Management 

• Act as main point of contact for existing corporate partners and stakeholders

• Build strong relationships through a stewardship programme to engage with partners in a variety of ways on a regular basis

• To provide the highest quality supporter care, working in partnership with the business to engage with its staff, maximising fundraising and retain support for the long term

• Support with engaging FareShare national partners where required

• Capture feedback from businesses to adapt our propositions

• Engage with with external stakeholders to develop effective activity plans, with clear objectives and outcomes to engage with new and existing corporate partners and other stakeholders

New Business

• Work closely with the Development Team to identify new business opportunities (including charity of the year partnerships) and to develop new relationships with stakeholders across Sussex and Surrey

• To research and approach companies to maximise fundraising opportunities,Develop and promote sponsorship opportunities and corporate partnership offerings

• Create engaging proposition presentations to approach new businesses engaging with them and s other such stakeholders regularly, hosting visits and attending meetings where necessary

Reporting and Monitoring

• Provide regular reporting for trustees and the Development Team

• To monitor and evaluate all aspects of the partnership, reporting on income and engagement. 

• Regular indepth bespoke reporting for our funding partner

• Work with the Head of Development on creating forecasts and budgets

• Ensuring records are maintained through our CRM system, Donorfy

• Adhere to data protection regulation and have an understanding of the Fundraising Regulator guidelines

2024 marks the 40th Anniversary of St Nicholas Hospice Care with a number of exciting fundraising events in the pipeline, so now is the perfect opportunity to join the team and ensure the Hospice can provide for those in our local community for the next 40 years.

As a Community Fundraiser you’ll be the face of St Nicholas Hospice Care out in the community. Main purpose of the role

We have a dynamic Fundraising team and over the last three years we have seen an incredible growth across established income streams and creation of new exciting income streams. At the same time, the organisation is passionate and committed to increasing our activities so that more food can reach the 8,500 charities and community groups nationwide. To meet this ambition, we are looking to recruit a talented and experienced fundraiser as our Corporate Partnerships Officer who is able to jump straight in to help deliver our Corporate Fundraising strategy.

We are looking for an ambitious Corporate Partnerships Officer that wants to maximise fundraising opportunities with existing partners through excellent account management and also enjoys new business and converting leads to new partnerships. This role will be split with 60% of your time allocated to Account Management and 40% to New Business.  

To be successful in this role, you will have knowledge and experience of managing and growing fundraising partnerships, as well as experience of working with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Management

• Manage a diverse portfolio of corporate partnerships including strategic partnerships, commercial partnerships, charity of the year and corporate donations, and support Corporate Partnership Managers with responsibilities relating to larger partnerships.
• Deliver excellent partnership management including developing a partnership plan, meeting with stakeholders, delivery of partner benefits and account stewardship.
• Develop and deliver timely, relevant and engaging impact reporting.
• Develop new and grow existing corporate partnerships, drafting and negotiating partnership agreements, for the best outcomes across FareShare’s work and maximising the income potential.

As the Trust and Grants Manager, you will be responsible for generating income from trusts and grants. Based within the Development Team you will look to identify funding opportunities to secure funds to ensure the Hospice successfully achieves its objectives and development plan. With experience of writing bid writing, trust applications and reporting you will have excellent attention to detail and effectively manage deadlines. Aid to the Church in Need is a Catholic charity, supporting persecuted and suffering Christians around the world.

Working alongside the existing Community Fundraiser in London, this role will engage with the Dioceses in Westminster, Brentford & East Anglia to establish and strengthen links to individual bishops and diocesan communications staff. Attend parishes to deliver weekend fundraising appeals as well as giving talks and presentations to parish groups.  

Developing strong links for ACN with educational and pastoral networks in Schools, Colleges and Universities, building relationships and supporting them in delivering the ACN Schools Programme, boosting the take up of the programme, increasing school engagement and delivering assemblies in person and virtually.

A driving licence and access to a car is essential for this role.

New Routes Integration

Since 2003 New Routes has been working with, and supporting, refugees, asylum seekers and isolated migrants in Norwich to support their wellbeing and ambitions by providing skill-building and social programmes in a safe and welcoming environment. We promote cross-cultural integration and community awareness, working with individuals and families from over 60 countries of origin. We work closely with an extensive network of partner organisations, both third-sector and statutory. New Routes is one-third of the Norwich Integration Partnership (NIP), alongside English+ and the Bridge Plus+.

 Principle purpose of the post:

The Operations Manager will work closely with the Chief Executive supporting on contractual service delivery (including the management of risk), quality and improvement across the organisation and ensure quality services are provided. This will be informed and implemented by ensuring that our participants have appropriate methods to inform programme delivery routinely. 

The Operations Manager will support the Chief Executive in leading and monitoromg service and organisational quality, financial/income activity and expenditure, adherence to policies and procedures, and overall compliance with health and safety activity through a range of measures, including the use of reports and data to make critical and informed assessments.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the Fundraising Strategy in order to diversify our funding streams enabling New Routes to develop exceptional services that meet our participants existing and emerging needs.

In conjunction with the Chief Executive, the Operations Manager will hold responsibility for ensuring all staff are effectively supported to undertake their roles, and will administer formal HR policies and procedures when standards fall below expectations.

The Operations Manager will provide support and deputise for the Chief Executive when required.  The postholder will be expected to demonstrate a high ability to be pro-active in anticipating and managing their workload, and work without high levels of direction.

Working hours

Over the past four years, we have made strides in developing our Fundraising income, pipeline and capabilities enabling us to rapidly pivot, innovate and capitalise on new funding opportunities. Our income has grown from £500k pa  in 2019 to over £2m in 2023  and we’ve even been shortlisted for the Third Sector Fundraising Team of the Year 2022.

We have a strong track record in developing corporate partnerships and delivering against programmatic grants. We have multi-year partnerships with UBS, NatWest, eBay, Pizza Hut, Bloomberg and BlackRock to name a few. Working with our Head of Corporate Partnerships, we would see you building on this track record and personally taking the lead on creating and inspiring bigger, better and stronger partnerships.

You will also act as an ambassador and represent the charity externally, promoting the work of the organisation and developing productive relationships and partnerships with external stakeholders to secure greater commitment to the charity.

Responsibilities

Account Management/ Stewardship

• Supporting day-to-day stewardship of Hatch’s strategic partners including Pizza Hut, UBS, BlackRock and NatWest.

• Integrating closely with our Programme team to support the engagement of founders for corporate requests (e.g. founders at corporate opportunities/ supply chain/ stalls/ panels etc).

• Work closely with the Programme team to develop volunteering opportunities and reporting back to partners on staff engagement (for example Friendly Dragons on Demo Days).

• Lead on additional stewardship and cultivation events (Lunch & Learns, networking events, showcase events)).

• Review and support on corporate volunteer onboarding.

New Business

• Fully research potential prospects and identify new regional and UK wide partnership opportunities, targeting proposals and making the most of links to develop long lasting partnerships.

• Cultivate potential employer partners, using networking and commercial skills to make imaginative, accurate and timely partnership proposals and applications.

• Support Head of Corporate Partnerships in securing and growing each partnership’s financial contribution covering both a corporate charitable donation and launching new employee engagement/fundraising activities.

Reporting/ Comms

• Write compelling cases for support to engage and motivate new and existing funders.

• Manage Benevity and Donorbox for additional donations.

• Use Monday. com and other CRM systems to record all approaches and delivery.

• Ensure the invoice and impact reporting schedule is clear with written contract agreements in place.

• Support Head of Corporate Partnerships to move partnerships from ‘in year’ renewal to a secure multi year (ideally three) year commitments/ written agreement.

• Work with colleagues to collate and deliver accurate data insights and impact reporting and inspiring story telling collateral related to partnerships.

• Develop the brand ambassador pillar of the partnership, inspiring and engaging employees to want to volunteer and fundraise  for Hatch Enterprise, delivering effective employee focussed events and content for corporate comms internal and external channels.

• Collate and share information for internal and external reporting purposes (i.e. sharing best practice, success stories).

Person Specification 

• Superb networking and relationship management skills, evidenced by experience of New Business Development and Account Management, ideally in the charity sector;

• An excellent  copywriter, with the ability to create compelling proposals which demonstrate the impact of our work and present a strong case for support to funders;

• Good knowledge of the UK corporate sector;

• Experience of prospect research, and with exceptional attention to detail;

• Analytical skills and the ability to see an opportunity, make a connection and seize the moment in relation to partnership building to meet mutual objectives;

• Efficient and accurate administrative and organisation skills;

• Good understanding and experience of working with corporate CSR, D&I, HR and commercial teams to build partnerships;

• An independent thinker, with the energy and organisational skills to manage different leads and work to tight deadlines;

• Ability to work effectively with others and in a team, to convene and facilitate stakeholders to collaborate on projects.

• Able to commit to evening and day-time events, predominantly in London.

• A can do attitude and approach.

This role is an exciting opportunity to help support the mission of the charity through a programme of income-generating corporate cooking teambuilding challenges. We have been running these successfully for several years and are now looking to replicate the model outside London, starting with a pilot in central Birmingham.

You will facilitate and run our Food Invention Challenges in a kitchen facility in central Birmingham, collaborating with corporate teams, local stakeholders and the venue.

Senior Community and Events Fundraiser, an excellent opportunity to join a long-standing regional Hospice, with Head Office based in Surrey area.

• This role can be either Full-Time (37.5 hours a week) or Part-Time (30 hours a week).
• Hybrid working pattern, with a min of 3 days office based for Full-Time hours.
• Salary; Full-Time - £35,000 per annum. Part-Time - £28,000 per annum.

As the Senior Community and Events Fundraiser, you will work with the Community and Events Lead, and be responsible for ensuring the delivery of the community and events fundraising plans and activities. You will managing a varied portfolio of events, including third party, challenges and bespoke. Along with engaging with the community to develop and implement plans for maximising income and support from individuals, groups and businesses.

Key Responsibilities for ensuring the delivery of community and events fundraising plans and activities:

• Manage, achieve and where possible exceed Community and Events income targets, taking a lead for specific projects, activities and events.
• Support the Community and Events Lead, contributing to the development of annual plans and budgets.
• Project manage challenge events (e.g. London Marathon, bike rides, skydives etc.), liaise with third-party organisers, participant recruitment and participant support.
• Work with other teams across Fundraising and MarComms to market and promote fundraising products, activities and events.
• Organise events, including liaison with venues, suppliers, monitoring expenditure, volunteers and participants and ensure all preparation is complete.
• Ensure an excellent level of supporter care and stewardship with supporters is maintained and developed.
• Provide regular reports and information about activities, supporters and volunteers.
• Line management of a Community and Events Fundraising Assistant.

To be successful in this Senior Community and Events Fundraiser role, you will have gained skills and experiences in the following areas;

• Previous experience working in fundraising in either a community, challenge or mass participant event capacity.
• Experience of establishing and maintaining strong relationships with individual fundraisers/supporters and/or, managing fundraising events.
• Experience of working to budgets, targets and plans.
• Previous experience of managing staff and/or volunteers.
• Knowledge of fundraising regulations.

• Knowledge of funding environments, including lottery distributors, key statutory funders, trusts and foundations, charitable trusts.
• Experience of strategic relationship, partnership development and management.
• Innovation and creativity, to develop projects from concept to delivery and to match trust priorities with funding.
• Budget and project management experience with the ability to manage financial risk.
• Experience of financial reporting

General:

• Ability to influence, persuade and negotiation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills – strong presenter.
