As Projects Officer: Neighbourhood Food Model you will lead on specific projects within the wider Neighbourhood Food Model. Your role will be to grow collaborations, facilitate groups and workshops, and coordinate action. You will be building alliances with local food growers, chefs, researchers, council officers and residents to build a better local food system in Walworth.
The Walworth Neighbourhood Food Model is an ambitious, long-term approach to tackling the root causes of food insecurity in our neighbourhood. Age UK Sutton has been commissioned to run a Dementia Support service within the London Borough of Sutton. As a Dementia Adviser you will provide comprehensive, person-centred support and access to information, working closely with other Dementia Advisers and teams across the organisation.
You will work to empower both people living with Dementia and their carers, supporting them to maximise their quality of life. From diagnosis and throughout their journey you will provide access to information and support, help clients to make informed decisions and provide a consistent point of contact. You'll also help to reduce isolation and increase social inclusion by providing opportunities for peer support and raise awareness and understanding of Dementia.
This role is community based working both at our offices and across the Sutton Borough, with some working from home. You will be the ambassador of Shelter on the high street; raising vital money for our cause. Our Community Shop Managers do not have a typical day, because they are continually seeking different opportunities to engage with the local community and increase their shops contribution to Shelter's cause. You will develop and encourage your own and your team's interest and passion in merchandising the shop to attract customers and donors through the door, as well as continually developing the team's knowledge of who Shelter are and what we do. A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health, Safety and Property Facilitator within the Care, Quality and Governance Team. This is an exciting role that will play a key part in the delivery of Cranstoun’s Quality and Governance strategy.
As Health, Safety and Property Facilitator, you will support the Health, Safety and Property Manager in providing high quality and comprehensive health and safety support to the organisation.
You will support safety and compliance communication, advise team members on health and safety policies and processes, promote a culture of best practice, help to deliver health and safety objectives and facilitate compliance with relevant legislation and Cranstoun policies.
You will also be a strong role model of the Cranstoun values: ambitious, creative, compassionate, collaborative and respectful. You will have the ability to self-manage and work independently without close supervision.
It is essential that you have excellent IT skills, in particular the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).
Experience of working within the health and social care sector would be advantageous.
