We are seeking two Specialist Community Support Workers to join one of our supported living services in Blackrod, Bolton. We aim to provide care and support and promote independence and inclusion within the local community through methods including positive behaviour support.
We aim in to empower the individuals we support to take control of their own lives and gain greater independence, by teaching communication, choice and fulfilment.
Working Pattern – 37.5 hours each week worked over a 7-day rota which includes sleep-ins.
Salary - £21,283 (£10.91ph) rising to £23,412 (£12.01ph) from April 2024
A Sleep-in payment of £87.50 per sleep applies rising to £96 from April 2024, based on 1 sleep per week, excluding holiday entitlement, can add an additional £4,992 .An enhanced payment is also paid for weekend hours of+25% hourly rate.
Holiday entitlement starts from 27 days holiday plus 8 statutory bank holidays.

The Together Trust has formed a partnership with Manchester City Council to set up and provide an excellent children’s home where children with behavioural issues who have had a difficult start in life find a secure loving home.
You will help to create a caring home for up to 5 children who need permanent care or who need support to help them prepare for a move into foster care. You will work as part of a dedicated team to help support these children helping to build a better life for them.

Hours- 37.5 hours per week
Salary - £25,546
- Sleep in shifts paid at £96 per sleep in.

About the position….
- As a children’s Residential Support Worker, you will work as part of a residential childcare team providing support for the children and young people with their physical, emotional, and social needs with an emphasis on promoting their personal growth and independence.
- Working on your own initiative and as part of a team, you will be to preparing and assisting the children and young people to fulfil the aims of their person-centred plan.
- You will support the children and young people with communication and work closely in a team that has a passion to improve their lives whilst in our care.

About you….

Main Responsibilities
- As a children’s Residential Support Worker, you will work as part of a residential childcare team providing support for individuals with their physical, emotional, and social needs with an emphasis on promoting independence.

Our service based in Heaton Mersey works with young people who present with inappropriate or harmful sexual behaviour. You will become part of a team that works in a therapeutic and nurturing environment focusing on a child centered approach. You will support safe social integration and offer a non-judgmental attitude to your daily work. Our specialist teams within these homes have an outstanding track record in achieving longstanding positive outcomes for these young people.
About you & Qualifications
- Ideally, we’re looking for someone with experience in a similar background, but it’s not essential as full training will be provided.
- Following a successful 6-month probation period, you will undertake a QCF level 3 or 4 qualification with support from an assessor and supervision.

ABOUT YOU
As a qualified accountant, you will have experience in financial accounting and control for an international organisation. You will have strong leadership and team building experience, with excellent communication and influencing skills, able to engage with a wide range of people.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
-Oversee delivery of the annual financial statements and the relationship with the auditors.
-Ensure that all other statutory obligations of the organisation are fulfilled including those for Amnesty International Charity, corporation tax and VAT filings.
-Lead the continued development of systems and processes to enhance the efficiency of the Finance function, in particular of the recently implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 system.
-Oversee the development and management of the Finance department's own activity budget and ensure accurate and timely forecasting.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Opportunity
This role sits within our Evaluation unit in our Impact Partnerships team, who work with education organisations such as charities, universities and education technology companies (our ‘impact partners’). Our work focuses on helping these organisations to design and deliver evaluations, and to build their capacity for impact evaluation.
We are looking for a candidate who can support the team internally with a variety of delivery and administrative processes, working directly with our schools and partners to support their evaluation journey. This will include supporting new schools through their onboarding and data collection processes and monitoring their usage of our digital platform, the School Impact Platform. You will also be responsible for liaising with schools to schedule focus groups with teachers and pupils and organise these events accordingly, and supporting colleagues with facilitating data collection and analysis, which will include reporting processes and creating surveys which form part of our evaluation work with schools.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to apply for our new professional development pathway, launching this summer. On this two-year scheme, a small cohort will rotate between our practices, gaining wider experience within strategy, evaluation and operational development within the education and social enterprise space.

About the team
The team will be made up of six Navigators based across the City of Manchester, as well as a Peer Coordinator. You will hold your own caseload, supported by the Team Leader. Your collaborative, trauma-responsive and person-centred approach will be key to achieving this. You will identify blocks and barriers within existing systems and find solutions to make wider and transformational change locally.
