Interim Philanthropy Lead
International charity and global advocacy organisation
Salary: £70,000 FTE, pro rata for up to three months
Contract: Two days per week (possibly three). Fixed term, three months
Location: UK-based, hybrid working
We are partnering with a highly respected international organisation seeking an experienced Interim Philanthropy Lead to provide continuity across its fundraising function while a permanent appointment is made.
This is a hands-on interim assignment for an experienced philanthropy professional who can step in quickly, maintain momentum and provide trusted support to the organisation’s senior leadership and donors.
Working closely with the Chief Executive and senior stakeholders, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of major donor relationships, ensure existing fundraising activity continues to progress, and maintain a strong focus on donor stewardship and pipeline development. You will quickly get up to speed with the organisation, its priorities and its donor landscape, providing stability and keeping key activity moving throughout the transition.
This role would suit an accomplished interim fundraiser who is comfortable operating autonomously, picking up an established portfolio at pace and delivering from day one.
About you
You will bring:
- A proven track record of securing and managing six and seven-figure gifts from major donors and philanthropic institutions.
- Significant experience managing major donor portfolios and delivering fundraising activity at pace.
- Strong knowledge of the international philanthropy landscape, including high-net-worth individuals, foundations, family offices and donor-advised funds.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the credibility to engage senior individuals.
- The ability to quickly understand a new organisation, build trusted relationships and provide continuity during a period of transition.
