As our Digital Communications Manager, you will:

• manage a programme to develop and refresh our digital communications channels so that they meet the needs of our audiences with the best possible user experience and accessibility
• work closely with stakeholders in managing this programme, overseeing budgets, issues and risks; internally, this will include chairing our cross-organisational Digital Communications Operations Group; externally, this will include managing our relationships with the agencies that provide our platforms
• conduct user needs and user acceptance testing for new developments to our digital communications channels, including our website
• manage our internal process for planning our day-to-day digital communications, making sure we schedule and publish a balanced and compelling array of content across our channels
• be our in-house expert on digital communications, working with and advising colleagues to create content across our platforms – including our website, social media channels and our email communications with members and supporters

As a Dementia Adviser, you will have the rewarding opportunity to provide support, information, and guidance to people with dementia and their carers; helping to maintain their independence, improving their sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives. The service is unique to each service user as it is based upon their personal circumstances and support needs. You will offer support to your clients in a variety of ways, whether in the client's own home, or at other locations in the community, face to face, by phone, letter, or email. You will also assist service users to access other services, providing signposting and referrals, and facilitating peer support groups for people living with dementia on occasions in various location in the area!
 
Hours - 30 hours (can be split over 5 days or Tuesday to Friday over 4)

 You will need

- Ability to assess and evaluate a wide range of people, adapting your approach to ensure understanding. 
- Understanding of people affected by a diagnosis of dementia or additional support requirements to maintain their independence, improve their sense of well-being, and help them take more control of their lives. 
- Skills gained to keep accurate and confidential records and client reports.
- Strong IT skills for inputting detailed, factual case records on a client database and using virtual meeting software (Teams / Zoom).
- Ability to travel regularly across local area to face to face home visits and wider area on occasions. 

What you’ll focus on:  

- Your primary role will be in delivering personalised and tailored support to people affected by dementia. This could include the person living with dementia, carer, family or friends. 
- Being a named, trusted contact for people affected by dementia, enabling them to access vital services whilst improving people’s sense of well-being, ultimately giving them more control over their lives and decisions. 
- Managing your own caseload of clients and referring people to the appropriate health and social care organisations when required, which will include safeguarding’s. 
- Providing advice and guidance at local peer groups, specific dementia groups and community networks, whilst looking out for new opportunities to promote the service and maintain the profile of dementia services across the area.

We’re looking for a knowledgeable and people-focused Payroll Manager to lead our payroll service and help make sure every colleague is paid accurately, on time, and with confidence.

Based in our London office (with flexible remote working), you’ll take the lead on all aspects of payroll delivery, overseeing the i-Trent system you will work closely with colleagues across HR, Finance and the wider organisation. You’ll oversee the monthly payroll process end-to-end, making sure everything runs smoothly.

• Strong experience managing payroll in a complex organisation, with in-depth knowledge of payroll, pensions, tax and statutory requirements
•  A proven track record of delivering accurate monthly payrolls, reconciliations, deductions and year-end processes with very low error rates
• Confidence managing HMRC requirements including RTI submissions, auto-enrolment, P11Ds, P45s and P60s
• Experience turning payroll data into clear, meaningful reports and insights for managers and senior stakeholders
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to spot issues early and find practical, people-centred solutions
• The ability to provide clear, approachable payroll advice to colleagues at all levels, including senior leaders

ROLE PURPOSE:

ShelterBox is seeking an experienced humanitarian professional with strong partnership expertise to join our dynamic International Programmes Department (IPD).

In this role, you will work closely with the Partnership team, comprising the Partnership & Localisation Manager and Rotary Partnership Manager, to advance two key strategic priorities: strengthening ShelterBox's partnership approach and driving localisation.

The Partnership team leads on developing and implementing strategies that enhance collaboration, including our global partnership with Rotary International. Working across IPD and the wider organisation, the team is central to shaping systems, processes, and initiatives that ensure effective partnership management and deliver on our strategic goals.

As part of this team, you will support programme delivery through a partnership lens. Responsibilities include coordinating due diligence processes, managing partnership agreements, and mapping partnership approaches across our project portfolio. You will also play a key role in supporting and coordinating ShelterBox's engagement with Rotary International, collaborating with multiple departments, Programme Delivery, Programme Funding, Programme Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Learning & Development.

· Support the timely coordination of Due Diligence and partner organisational capacity assessment (OCA) process for partners, inclusive of conducting sanctions checks.

· Collaborate with the Programme Quality team to design appropriate partnership outcomes and outputs with indicators to be measured at programme and project levels, and ensure that learning on partnership is systematically captured and applied

· Support Programme Managers, Emergency Coordinators and the Grants Manager to ensure that the sub-grant agreements and terms of partnerships, as well as institutional policies and procedures are complied with by the partner organisations, including policies on safeguarding

· Support the planning and facilitation of periodic two-way partnership review processes, ensuring that discussions are as constructive, relevant, and mutually beneficial as possible; Follow up to ensure that mutually-agreed-upon actions are met

· Maintain awareness of external/sector best practice on partnerships, including Safeguarding, Protection, risk management and EDI

· Represent ShelterBox in any capacity as required.

We are delighted to be partnering with Hornet Services Sailing Club, a not-for-profit members’ Club providing high-quality and affordable sailing, marina and social facilities for serving and veteran members of the Armed Forces and MOD civil servants. The Club operates a 180-berth marina, a busy clubhouse with a 7-day a week bar and restaurant, a varied programme of formal and social events, leased and listed buildings (including Grade 2* listed), and boat storage facilities.

With 500 members, 180 berth holders and an annual turnover of circa £1.1m, the new Club General Manager will be the most senior paid staff member and hold full responsibility for the Club’s performance, financial sustainability and day-to-day delivery. Working closely with the Commodore, Flag Officers and Committee, and supported by a management team, you will shape the overall member experience while ensuring the Club operates safely, efficiently and in line with its values and traditions.

This is a broad, hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same. You will oversee marina operations, hospitality services, estate and facilities management, governance and compliance, staff leadership and member engagement. You will have genuine scope to influence standards, develop people, improve systems and processes and ensure the long-term sustainability of a much-loved organisation.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

• Relevant professional experience, including the management of a multi-functional organisation and strategic business planning and delivery
• Facilities management, including overseeing infrastructure and maintenance projects
• Strong financial management capability, including ownership of budgets of circa £1million
• A working knowledge of employment law, HR best practice, GDPR and staff development.
• Comprehensive understanding of bar and catering principles
• Experience of sailing, marina or waterside operations (highly beneficial, but not essential)

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role, based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with the flexibility to work from home 3 days a week. The Media and Communications Manager, reporting into the Head of Communications, is responsible for the creation and delivery of PAGB's external, member and internal communications, overseeing media relations and the PAGB brand.

Overall accountability

• To effectively manage all content on PAGB website and microsites
• To effectively manage the PAGB brand and visual identity
• To organise, co-ordinate and support PAGB events
• To manage all aspects of PAGB’s media relations
• To be the first point of contact for all media enquiries
• To effectively market PAGB services, events and training
• To create, manage and oversee creation of PAGB newsletters
• To support internal communications

Key areas of responsibility include:

Website and digital communications

• Managing the PAGB website to ensure it is regularly updated with relevant information and content is optimised for search and user experience
• Proactively managing website on on-going basis to ensure that it is up to date and actively liaising with PAGB teams to gather information to update as needed
• Managing relationships with PAGB’s website developers to ensure ongoing maintenance, updates and technical support are delivered effectively
• Managing relationships with PAGB’s IT suppliers over domain name and security certificate renewals as required
• Managing the Health and Food Supplements Information Service (HSIS) website
• Managing website and communications data analytics and analysis

Marketing communications

• Marketing communications to promote PAGB’s services, events, and training to members and non-members using appropriate channels
• Developing and supporting communications via various media e.g. social media, podcasts and video
• Working with external agencies to deliver engaging videos and graphics to demonstrate PAGB’s impact in key areas
• Managing PAGB’s partnership with the OTC Marketing Awards and other external partners
• Organising, coordinating and/or supporting PAGB events as required
• Development of content to be used in marketing and corporate communications, including but not limited to surveys, reports and market research
• Writing and managing external award nominations for PAGB, projects or individuals

Media relations

• First point of contact for media enquiries about consumer healthcare, over-the-counter medicines and medical devices and self-care
• Media issues management, developing messaging and response statements with the aim of ensuring coverage on the consumer healthcare industry and its products is fair and balanced
• Responding in a timely and compelling way to relevant external developments or media stories to generate proactive coverage which communicates our core messages
• Developing and delivering the media aspects of PAGB campaigns to promote self-care and amplify PAGB policy priorities and key messages
• Building, developing and maintaining high quality relationships with key target media across print, broadcast and online (national, consumer and trade)
• Building, developing and maintaining relationships with PAGB media experts
• Briefing PAGB spokespeople on key messages and organising media training as required
• Producing written briefings for PAGB spokespeople to support press interviews
• Media and communications activity to support regulatory initiatives, such as reclassification or safety issues
• Day-to-day contact for PAGB’s retained media relations agency on the delivery of the Health and Food Supplements Information Service (HSIS)
• Building relationships with PAGB members responsible who are responsible for media within their respective companies
• Managing and updating the Media Group Members on PAGB’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system

Media monitoring

• Responsible for relationship with media monitoring service
• Responsible for identifying trends and flagging any areas of concern
• Identifying opportunities for PAGB experts via ResponseSource
• Regularly reporting on PAGB’s coverage in the media by creating monthly media dashboards and generating statistics

Brand and design

• Responsible for PAGB’s corporate branding, ensuring correct and consistent use
• Maintaining PAGB brand guidelines and document templates
• Using Photoshop and Canva to undertake basic design tasks inhouse
• Managing relationships with external designers and oversee design and production of corporate publications and documents

Internal Communications

• Responsible for creating and generating content for internal staff newsletter
• Supporting monthly internal communications meetings
• Collaborating with other departments on internal changes, employee initiatives, and sharing company updates

General

• Contributing to the development and delivery of PAGB’s strategy, plans and activity
• Reporting monthly on activity and results to inform regular member value communications
• Ensuring work is produced in line with PAGB tone and brand guidelines
• Staying up to date with new developments and best practice in the media and public affairs fields
