This new role will lead on Platform’s People and Process functions as we progress through the next stage of our exciting restructure process.
We are a flat-structured organisation that makes decisions collectively. We are currently developing and designing a new organisational structure based on sociocracy where staff are supported to work more collectively and strategically across our seven programs.
The focus of this role will be on transforming and strengthening our HR systems and processes to centre compassion, care and liberation. As well as delivering the day-to-day HR functions within our small organisation, this role will lead on the long-term design and implementation of a People Strategy and a Learning and Development Strategy, supporting our staff to develop their own roles while growing as a team within our new structure. This role will sit within our new ‘Resourcing Circle’ - working with the Finance and Fundraising staff and liaising with our Board of Trustees.

Details:
Hours: 4 days: 32 hours per week based on a 40 hour week, flexible hours possible.
Contract: Permanent, subject to 6 months probation.
Salary: Baseline salary as of March 2024 is £42,248 pro rata (£33,791 at 4 days a week) and is subject to Platform’s Socially Just Waging System.
Location: Oxford House, Derbyshire Street, London, E2 6HG, but remote working is possible. Most Platform staff are supported to work from home most of the time, but all permanent members of staff are expected to attend in-person monthly meetings, and other in-person meetings when required.

The Business Partnering Manager is responsible for ensuring an excellent business partnering across the charity by understanding organisational needs, setting standards, seeking feedback, and coaching the business partnering team - ultimately ensuring that the Diabetes UK strategic objectives are achieved.

Main Responsibilities
The Business Partnering manager plays a critical role managing the budgeting & forecasting work across Diabetes UK ultimately, working closely with the Head of Finance & senior stakeholders, to ensure that we deliver our vision in a sustainable way.
You would be leading a team of five business partners and empowering them to add value the Directorates they work with to enhance the work Diabetes UK caries out. Working with your team you will look at ways to improve our reporting and build financial capability and confidence across the charity.
The Business Partnering manager also supports the Research Directorate so you would be working with colleagues to support our ground breaking research work and reporting on progress to external funders.

About the Role:
As Finance Business Partner to Communications and Fundraising directorates, you will:
- Regularly advise Communications and Fundraising leaders and senior manager to review financial aspects of their operational plans.
- Develop a systematic forecasting process for the directorate and ensure robust 3-year income and expenditure financial plans are implemented.
- Support on long term financial plans and modelling supporting WAUKs 10-year strategy.
- Develop enhanced self-service reporting relevant at budget holder and department level that supports optimal decision-making.

About You:
To be successful, you'll need:
- Completed a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA). Role Context
ALIMA UK is in its start-up phase and is made up of a small team. This period is exciting at times unpredictable. Job Title: Trust Fundraising Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our fledgling Fundraising Team and develop a trust fundraising programme from the ground up. We are looking for someone with experience in raising funds from trusts and foundations, who is an excellent communicator - spoken and written – and who can undertake research to effectively identify appropriate prospects. ABOUT BLACK ROOTZ
Black Rootz is a multigenerational growing project providing opportunities for Black and racially minoritised people to grow food for themselves, their families and their communities. Black Rootz was established in 2019 by a collective of Black growers in Haringey who recognised the need to organise to challenge the deep inequalities in the growing and food systems. Over the past 5 years, Black Rootz has developed a holistic practice for Black and racially minoritised communities incorporating intergenerational knowledge transfer, increased access to land and food sovereignty, regenerative environmental practices and reduced food inequality.
Black Rootz has been incubated as a project within The Ubele Initiative since 2019. As an established name in the growing community, it is now building towards an independent future.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Project Manager is a new role that will provide hands on management capacity to Black Rootz. The role will bring experience and energy to support the delivery and continued development of the project’s core activities; the Community Growing Programme and a new workshop series. The Project Manager will take on a management position and, with support from Ubele, help the project to navigate decisions that will enable Black Rootz to achieve its overall social, environmental, and operational ambitions.
The successful candidate will be central in Black Rootz’ journey towards a more independent and sustainable future. This is a pivotal role to support NASP’s strategic aims to promote and spread social prescribing at a local, national, and international level.

Finance
- Act as first point of contact for Finance enquiries, both internally and externally
- Manage the Finance mailbox, ensuring queries are dealt with efficiently
