What the Major Gifts Officer will do:
- This role will be mostly focused on growing and maintaining a portfolio of low-level prospects and donors (c. 4- and 5-figure gifts) though targeted approaches and high-quality written applications.
- In addition to soliciting gifts for two capital projects, the role will also identify funding opportunities for other projects.
- Provide support to the Senior Stewardship Manager with stewardship activity, as well as Senior Major Gifts Fundraisers with major funding proposals where required.
Ideally the Major Gifts Officer will have experience of:
- Experience of working in fundraising for a charitable organisation with a proven ability of securing 4- or 5- figure+ gifts
- Excellent writing skills to produce high-quality applications and proposals and other fundraising communications
- The ability to identify new funding streams and generate and convert leads into gifts
- The ability to manage a high-volume pipeline of donors/prospects, while ensuring the CRM data on the pipeline is accurate and up-to-date

About the Role
Under the direction of the Chief Executive, the Deputy Chief Executive (Operations and Services) will be responsible for the overall financial management, business reporting and operational services for the organisation. They will lead on setting the strategic financial goals for the organisation and take a proactive role in supporting our performance towards these goals. The role will also support several departmental managers who deliver organisational services in the areas of finance, commercial and central services. Our client, a leading London University, is currently looking to recruit a full-time (35 hours per week) Senior Assessments and Faculty Liaison Officer. The post is to start as soon as possible and is a 1 year fixed-term contract. The post will be hybrid working of 1 day per week on site (Wednesday), and the rest remote.

- Collaborating with faculties and central teams to maintain accurate, up-to-date assessment records using the Student Records Management System (SITS)

The role.
This is an exciting role that sits on the senior leadership team with a significant amount of autonomy for an outstanding fundraiser and leader who is interested in further developing a fundraising function to eventually deliver c.£1.8m fundraising income per annum.
They are at a crucial stage in the evolution of their fundraising. Opened in 2019, our Youth Zone is founded on the OnSide funding model whereby the first four years of revenue is made possible primarily by major donors – Founder Patrons – who each committed a minimum of £25k pa for four years.
Now as they enter year five, they seek the continuation of this support and are in the initial stages of diversifying their income sources. They have also secured significant ringfenced funding to expand the fundraising team, and the incoming Director of Fundraising will have significant scope to shape the team around their vision and strategy. Successful achievement of goals and a sound strategy will allow for further growth in future years in order to sustain, diversify and enhance income.

Managing the day to day finance operations, you will work to support the wider charity in improving financial and management reporting and analysis. Partnering with the budget holders and the senior management team, you will prepare reports and advise on financial information and data to help inform operational and strategic financial decisions. Duties will include, but may not be limited to the following:
- Oversight and management of the finance team
