About the team:

Kinship is in the third year of delivering the first national peer support service for kinship carers in England. We have created 145 peer support groups and supported and trained kinship carers to create and lead their groups in a way which meets their needs.

With a new contract from the Department for Education, we’re now entering a new phase of our service with a focus on:

• creating 90 new sustainable peer support groups in areas of most need over 21 months;

• sustaining and developing the current 145 existing groups; and

• providing support and help to build a sustainable and welcoming community for all peer support groups across England.

This role will coordinate the ‘hub’ resources and content with a focus on supporting sustainability and building resilience of peer support groups and their leaders.  Specifically, this role will manage an ‘online hub’ for support group leaders and provide an excellent ‘customer experience’ for all support group leaders. You will support the hub innovation.

Together with the Peer Support Hub Lead you’ll take a human centred approach to working with group leaders to develop a central hub of accessible and useful resources and activities (for in person and online).  You’ll build good relationships with support group leaders, building in their insight to develop resources and activities that will support them in their role.

You’ll help kinship carers to sustain their groups, working with colleagues across Kinship to promote consistent access to services and activities (training, programmes, information, advice and campaigns), ensuring a joined-up user experience.

About the role:

The role of the Peer Hub Coordinator will provide operational delivery of the Peer Support Hub. With excellent marketing, communication and digital skills this role will work with the Peer Support Hub Lead to develop an ‘in person’ and online peer support community.

 In this context, your role supports the centralised ‘hub’ of the service, delivering an exciting programme of training, speakers, toolkits and resources to help peer support group leaders develop, build and sustain their group well. This will be building on and innovating the current Support Group Network.

 Your role will support group leaders to feel connected and supported, learn from each other and build a powerful and resilient peer community.

The type of person we're looking for:

Super organised, you are someone who uses their initiative, anticipates challenges and proactively provides seamless solutions. 

You’ll be comfortable with using digital technology and tools to build communities and develop resources. You’ll be curious about digital community tools, and you’ll want to work closely with our digital and content team to develop an amazing online experience.

You’ll also be a people person – understanding how building ‘in person’ relationships is key to unlocking community power for kinship carers.

You’ll be the right-hand person to the Peer Support Hub Lead making sure we deliver a really brilliant experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operational delivery, innovation and management of a dedicated online and in-person peer support ‘hub’.

• Building direct and positive relationships with support group leaders.

• Roll out mechanisms and tools to support groups to remain sustainable including but not limited to; informal buddy matches, online hub for support group leaders, monthly e-news, monthly speakers, themed specialist training (like setting up a safe Facebook group / promoting your group) and celebration events.

• Facilitation of regional network meetings.

Essential requirements include:

• Experience of developing jargon-free content for different audiences and channels.

• Experience of providing project support, delivering plans on time and evaluating outcomes.

• Experience of stakeholder communications and building relationships with stakeholders (e.g. beneficiaries and partners).

Fundraising Assistant

Contract: Permanent, part-time (21 hours per week)

Your Job Description 

As a Youth Project Leader, you will: 

• Deliver ReachOut sessions at the same partner school on the same day and time weekly during term time.

• Prepare your ReachOut sessions, following ReachOut’s curriculum and adapting the activities to the needs and interests of your assigned group.

• Facilitate engaging ReachOut sessions for the young people attending by ensuring that the voice of young people is listened to and impacts the way the sessions are planned and facilitated.

• Manage and support a group of volunteer mentors; supporting them to build strong rapport with their mentees and helping them to understand how to best adapt their mentoring approach to the young people they are working with.

• Support theyoung people in your session to reach and be confident in their potential by facilitating the creation of good mentee/mentor relationships and by running activities to build the ReachOut Character Strengths.

Often the first point of contact for our clients in Lambeth and Southwark, the Information and Advice Service aims to provide support for residents who may be experiencing social-isolation, low mood, anxiety or depression. The service handles over 1500 enquiries a year from people seeking support for a range of issues including welfare benefits, housing and homelessness, advocacy, family support, disability and legal advice in addition to accessing our mental health and befriending services.

As one of two Advice Service Coordinators, you’ll support volunteers to ensure that the service is running efficiently. You will be in regular contact with clients both interested in and accessing the service to make sure they have adequate support. This may include referrals and signposting to additional or alternative mental health and social support services.

You’ll also maintain the online Community Information Network (COIN) directory, which includes vocational and social opportunities for adults with long term health conditions who are looking for paid work, to move closer to their vocational goals or consider social and leisure opportunities.

About the role

As a Shop Supervisor, you will support the shop manager and assistant shop manager to deliver an outstanding customer experience. Role overview

The Project Support Officer will support our Programmes Team with activity related to project delivery while members of the team are on maternity leave. The postholder will be responsible for completing a variety of project delivery tasks that support the smooth running of our online mentoring. These tasks include administrative support through our online mentoring platform, data entry and data monitoring, training our volunteers to be mentors and inducting young people onto our programmes.

We are looking for an Administrator to support the Girl experience department. The Girl experience department is a friendly and creative one, responsible for the delivery of our full girl offer, including activity creation and development, events and programmes across Girlguiding.

Working with various teams across the department, including our programme, girl voice and young leader teams, you will provide admin support. The work can be varied and creative, but regular tasks include supporting meetings through agenda setting, managing invites and attendance, document set up and circulation, minuting and keeping track of action logs. You will support booking processes and finance processes for events, meetings and team members. You will have the opportunity to support youth programme activity development through copy editing and testing of activities, and support in consultation and engagement of girls through the development of our youth projects. Supporting the head of department, you will engage in small scale research tasks or wider project management actions.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator/Receptionist to help establish the Front of House service for the Methodist Church in Britain as it moves into newly refurbished offices in Central London. Working as part of a small Front of House and Facilities team, the post-holder will provide a professional, customer-focused administrative service, helping to promote a sense of community in line with the Church’s mission and values
Reporting to the Front of House Manager, the main duties will include:

• Providing a professional and helpful switchboard, meeting room support and reception service;
• Answering enquiries and directing colleagues and visitors using knowledge of the Church’s aims and structures;
• Carry out a range of administrative tasks;
• Supporting the running of the facilities function and helping to maintain the health and safety of everyone in the building.

What would we like…?

Do you have good problem solving skills with the ability to spot future challenges through analysis?
We're looking for an analytical thinker to join our Facilitation and Planning team as Facilitation and Planning Officer.

You'll work as part of a team who are responsible for planning and scheduling of all events, conferences and one-to-one sessions across our programme suite. We recruit and support expert faculty to ensure our programmes are delivered to the highest quality in order to enrich participant learning.

Your main role will be to work within the Facilitation and Planning team, supporting with the development of our online system to auto-generate events. You'll  be responsible for setting up reporting and monitoring processes to support our optimisation of facilitators, and work closely with other internal programme stakeholders to oversee the creation of new policies and processes such as our Quality Assurance and development offer. 

Please note - this role is internally known as Facilitation and Planning Senior Associate. 

We would like you to:

• Lead on the scheduling process of our programmes, ensuring scheduling aligns with sequencing requirements
• Be the first point of contact for our team of external faculty (facilitators and coaches), supporting general queries and processing invoices. 
• Be responsible for allocating and matching facilitators to events and 1:1 coaching influenced by a set of key criteria
• Communicate and simplify complex data to share with stakeholders and identifying issues and solutions

Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to either our Birmingham, London or Manchester office and will report to the Facilitation and Planning Manager.  In line with our current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 1 day a month, in addition to team days and this may be reviewed by Ambition. 
 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

To succeed in this role you'll have a excellent communication skills with experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders. Our ideal candidate will have high attention detail, and thrive and excel with organising, scheduling and planning responsibilities.
 

Whilst experience in other analytical systems would be desirable, it is not a requirement for applying to the role but it is essential that you have an ability to get up to speed quickly and we will provide full training.
