Housing Plus Ltd based in Brent, London NW2 & NW10, 

We are currently recruiting support workers who will be able to work on a shift pattern that will include a rolling rota with a combination of days, evenings, sleep in nights and weekends including public holidays. The role can be part time or full time. Support Workers will have to be flexible re shifts. Our supported accommodation is for young people aged 16-19 who are primarily refugees and asylum seekers and in the care of the local authority.

Day shift is 9am-5.30pm. Evening/Waking hours 5pm-11pm and 8-9am. This will be paid at the hourly rate of £11.95. The sleeping-in shift 11pm- 8am, payment is a flat rate £46.00 per night.

We are currently recruiting support workers who will work on a rota in our supported accommodation for young people aged 16-19 who are primarily refugees and asylum seekers and in the care of the local authority. These young people are preparing to live independently and we offer practical and emotional support to them.

The role requires you to record support to prepare reports, for the commissioning authority using IT as required. Familiarity with Googles docs and sheets is required.

The role of the support worker is to help young people to develop their independent living skills. This can involve being out and about with the young people – going shopping, attending interviews and appointments, support to attend college, helping them to know the area and its resources and, in the home, helping them to cook, clean and develop self-care skills. The evening / night shift is focussed more on tasks that can be completed in the placements or in groups such as cooking, cleaning, support with homework, film nights, recreational activities. Some creativity is encouraged to engage and inspire the young people.

 Alongside this you will have some responsibility for light household tasks to keep the house tidy and organised as well as undertaking health and safety checks. The time in the morning will be spent ensuring that the young people who need to be up and out are ready to attend college.

Some experience of working with young people, night working and lone working will be a big advantage.

ABOUT THE ROLE

A new opportunity has arisen to join a new contract in Lewisham. You will support over 2 properties which supports residents and participants with acute and/or complex mental health needs who are supported/treated in the community in their recovery as appose to hospital inpatient care. ABOUT THE SERVICE

The Integrated Community Rehabilitation Services will enable people to receive a community-based offer and avoid admission into a rehabilitation unit. 

The service is across 2 properties in Lewisham (one 8 self contained rooms, and another with 6 self contained rooms) located in close proximity to each another and both will be staffed 24/7 by a minimum of 2 Mental Health Recovery Workers (MHRW) at all times, at each site. This will include Shift Leads to support the Management Team. 

These addresses are a short walk from each other and are served by good public transport links; close to Bellingham, Catford and Catford Bridge train stations, and close to bus stops.

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience working with people with multiple complex backgrounds/needs, mental health, substance misuse, alcohol, and behaviours 
• Previous experience creating co - produced support plans, key working, and care planning, providing appropriate interventions for service users
• IT Proficiency; ability to learn new software and basic Microsoft
• Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs
• Understanding and/or practical knowledge of the social and societal marginalisation that can be attached to people with various challenging backgrounds, mental health, addiction, exploitation, homelessness, and previous convictions

What we would like, but not essential:

• Understanding and/or practical application of key legislation regarding social care, housing, criminal justice, and mental health
• Ability to Recognise signs of deteriorating mental health and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent crisis

Richmond Carers Centre, a network partner of the Carers Trust, is a registered charity providing information, support, advice and a voice for carers living and caring in London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

Helping Carers to Live Well is our organisational aim. We provide a targeted service to young carers, aged 5 – 18 years. Young carers, provide vital emotional and practical support to a family member with a care need including sibling young carers. It's a particularly exciting time to be joining Scope. We’ve just launched an ambitious new strategy, and we’ll be delivering a large-scale general election campaign, as well as a brand refresh. We want to make sure that 2024/2025 is a real turning point for disabled people – one in which our vision for an Equal Future starts to become a reality. You’ll be involved in shaping some of the key campaigning activity to make that happen.

Fixed Term until February 2025, 35 hours per week

Location: Here East Press Centre, 14 East Bay Lane, London, E15 2GW with working from home some or most of the time (hybrid).

The role 

We will need you to take a lead on evaluating the impact of each phase and use that information to shape the next. The campaign will have both online and offline activity and lots of moving parts, so you’ll need to be comfortable working in a fast paced environment.

You will:

• Work collaboratively across Scope to deliver our general election campaign, and help us make sure disabled people’s voices are heard by Government and politicians.
• Work closely with our National Campaigns Officer, and manage our Campaigns Assistant
• Play a key role in the delivery of the campaign, from developing assets to determining the best tactics for each phase.

The Role:
As a Public Engagement and Commercial Officer, you will play a key role in supporting departmental objectives and key projects. From managing administrative tasks to coordinating events and overseeing site diary management, this role offers a diverse range of responsibilities in a stimulating environment.

This exciting opportunity would be an office based role.

Main responsibilities:

*Undertake project work, updating Standard Operating Procedures across the team.
*Organise staff administration, including rotas, timesheets, and HR documentation.
*Manage department expenses and stock procurement.
*Maintain calendars, schedule meetings, and handle data collation and evaluation.
*Provide staffing and administrative support for event planning and coordination.
*Manage budgets and timelines effectively, ensuring seamless event execution.
*Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to meet event requirements.
*Oversee the room booking system, ensuring effective communication and resolving diary clashes.
*Organise and chair weekly diary meetings, providing site diary summaries and updates.
*Facilitate access and training for new users.
*Assist the project manager in developing project management documents and overseeing daily progress.
*Organise reports, invoices, contracts, and other financial files.
*Arrange meetings, logistics, and perform financial administrative tasks as required.

Essential requirements:

*Knowledge of databases and Microsoft Office package.
*Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
*Administrative experience, familiarity with booking systems, and staff administration processes.
*Highly organised team player.
*Excellent timekeeping and problem-solving skills.
*Strong presentation skills.
*Flexible availability for occasional weekends, bank holidays, and evenings.
*Highly motivated, proactive, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
