About the role
We are seeking an individual giving officer to support the development and delivery of our individual giving programme. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our fundraising team, helping to grow income and deepen engagement from our supporter base.
Key duties
- Assist in the planning and implementation of individual giving campaigns that deliver sustainable income growth and long-term donor engagement
- Manage supporter engagement and acquisition across multiple channels including social media, email, SMS, direct mail, and online campaigns
- Work closely with the fundraising, research, and communications teams to ensure successful delivery of individual giving activities
- Oversee data selection for campaigns to optimise return on investment and support testing; ensure data is managed securely and in line with GDPR
- Support reporting and forecasting of financial and non-financial performance across the individual giving programme
- Contribute to the development and launch of a mid-value donor fundraising programme
- Support donor journeys that build loyalty and increase lifetime value through a range of fundraising products
Skills and experience required
- Proven experience managing projects across direct marketing channels, including both digital and print
- Strong copywriting and creative writing skills
- Experience developing fundraising and marketing content based on audience insights
- Confident working with external agencies across creative, print, digital, and media
- Experience supporting the planning and budgeting of individual giving activity
- Familiarity with legacy marketing is desirable but not essential

Katherine Low Settlement is a busy, local charity that has been serving Battersea and the wider Wandsworth community since 1924. We are dedicated to building stronger communities and enable people to challenge and find ways out of poverty and isolation.
We run a range of our own community services to support local older people and children, young people, and their families from refugee communities. We campaign for social change. We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic Operations Director to play a key role in shaping and supporting everything we do at Katherine Low Settlement. Sitting at the heart of our leadership team, this role is all about making sure our charity runs smoothly, sustainably, and with purpose — so we can keep making a difference in the lives of those who need us most.
Role Purpose
The Operations Director is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective running of all operational aspects of Katherine Low Settlement. This role oversees the day-to-day operational leadership of the charity, ensuring that its systems, processes, and teams are aligned with strategic objectives and compliant with relevant legislation.
This position will lead on programme delivery, financial management, human resources, IT infrastructure, risk and compliance, governance, and facilities management, ensuring that the organisation operates smoothly and sustainably. The post-holder will act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), embedding a strong safeguarding culture across the organisation, and also be responsible for policy development and culture and wellbeing.
As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Director of Operations will work closely with the CEO, Board of Trustees, funders, partners, and staff to drive organisational effectiveness and ensure that the charity can continue delivering high-impact work.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Organisational Strategy
- Provide strategic leadership for all operational functions, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s mission and strategic objectives.
- Develop and implement efficient systems, processes, and policies to improve operational effectiveness.
- Work closely with the CEO and Board of Trustees to ensure that the charity is resilient, agile, and positioned for sustainable growth.
- Oversee cross-departmental collaboration, ensuring that operations support and enhance programme delivery.

Programme Delivery & Impact
- Ensure all programmes and services are effectively designed, resourced, and evaluated to achieve the best outcomes.

- Oversee the Deputy Safeguarding Leads, acting as the main point of contact for safeguarding concerns from them, ensuring they are appropriately reported and addressed.

Human Resources, People Management & Wellbeing
- Lead the HR function, ensuring best practices in recruitment, retention, staff development, and performance management.

The Coventry Diocesan Board of Finance Ltd (DBF) manages the financial affairs and hold the assets of the Diocese and its associated entities as well as managing activities to serve and equip these parishes through various activities and projects.
The Finance & Governance team handle all matters concerning Diocesan and Cathedral finance including the administration and collection of parish share, paying invoices and expenses, budgeting, annual statutory, management accounts, clergy stipends, staff salaries, advice to parishes on parochial finance matters.
This role covers the full range of work in an accounting system dealing with input to and output from all ledgers with specific responsibility for the administration of parish shares and fees including the issuing of regular statements to parishes. The purpose is to ensure that the accounting system has accurate and timely financial data which is available to those who require it either for decision-making or for external reports and accounts.

These funds contain charitable donations for services across Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, and can be used to support projects that benefit patients and staff, over and above what the NHS could normally provide.
In this role you will be responsible for handling the administration of our special purpose fund operations and processes. This will include the management of special purpose fund claims, a dedicated email inbox, invoice processing, engagement with NHS staff who oversee these funds (known as fund advisers) and other ad hoc administrative tasks.
Working closely with the Fund Engagement Officer, you will be expected to manage multiple tasks, deliver strict deadlines and contribute towards the team’s wider objectives and cross departmental working.
