Marketing Officer

Core responsibilities within your role will be to:

• Email communications - management and scheduling of all email communications to the organisation's database and external audiences, management of email communication's calendar, management of Email Service Provider (Salesforce Marketing Cloud), maintaining integrity of email contact list, and writing copy, building, segmenting and sending emails.
• Support the Marketing Manager with planning, copywriting and coordination of the marketing of the organisation's campaigns across paid, organic and earned media.
• Take the lead on delivery and evaluation of specific marketing campaigns.
• CRM reporting, including setting up dashboards, creating effective reports and working closely with Product & Technology team to ensure CRM is being used to its full potential.
• Ongoing analysis of email reporting and performance to inform future marketing and communications strategies and plans.
• Ensure all emails are on brand; both look and feel and tone of voice.
• Ensure all email campaigns adhere to GDPR consent and data capture regulations.
• Work with colleagues in national teams (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland), and other departments to plan and execute regional email campaigns.
• Work with the Marketing Manager to implement, monitor and develop automated e-communications journeys to enhance both marketing and customer service experiences for the organisation's audiences.
• Manage any printed marketing materials such as leaflets, pull up banners, booklets to ensure they are on brand and produced in an environmentally friendly way.

We would love to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

• Experience of managing email campaigns for a variety of audiences, including drafting content, Email Service Provider (ESP) management (ideally Salesforce Marketing Cloud), A/B testing and performance analysis.
• A good understanding of email data (open rate, click through rate, click through open rate etc.) and how to analyse it in order to inform on-going activity.
• Experience of using a range of analytics tools to help monitor, optimise and evaluate campaign performance including Google Analytics, CRMs and ESPs.
• Experience of using Customer Relationship Management systems (ideally Salesforce) to segment audiences, create campaigns, target audiences and report on activity.
• Experience of managing marketing and communications campaigns across owned, paid and earned channels.
• Management of campaigns and implementing tracking, undertaking evaluation based on performance of KPIs.
• Experience of copywriting and producing content for a range of channels and audiences.

About the role

We’re looking for a Social Worker to support children and young people diagnosed with cancer in our Leeds Team. 

We pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality support tailored to the needs of the children and young people and their families using a needs based assessment framework. The work we do is rewarding but also complex and demanding. You will be part of a close-knit Young Lives vs Cancer social work team, working with an established NHS multi-disciplinary team and services in the community.

It will bring you into contact with a large variety of stakeholders at all levels around the organisation so being an effective and confident communicator is key.

Reporting to and working closely with our Governance Manager, you will provide cross committee governance cover, enabling the efficient running of meetings through the year including at Annual Conference and assisting in election processes for National Officers, Trustees and Membership Council.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Arrange agendas, collate papers, attend and minute committee meetings, and liaise with Chairs of committees to achieve a high-performance governance process
- Ensure meeting minutes actions are recorded and completed in a timely fashion and are maintained on the board platform
- Work closely with Executive Directors and paper authors to ensure reports are received in a timely fashion and contain consistent quality
- Work with the Governance Support Officer to ensure the effective organisation of subsidiary and committee meetings of the Board including dates and times, venue, attendees, agendas, minutes, action logs, and the cycle of pre and post committee meetings with the Chairs
- Support the Trustees and Executive Board in the smooth running of the governance of the RBL Annual Conference by attending for the duration of the conference weekend and providing governance support in preparation for the Annual Conference

The Role

We have a rewarding opportunity for a School Impact Officer to train, support and develop volunteers and monitor the programme through effective administration, data management and to build a deep partnership between the school and the charity.

The Impact Officer is based predominantly in a school and is the primary link between the partner schools and the programme and is the enabler of the programme delivery.  You will support a team of volunteer mentors, who support school activities by coordinating, managing and evaluating the programme.

Fundraising and Administration Officer

Contract: Full time, 12 month fixed-term with potential for the role to develop into a permanent position.

Child. org is a Nairobi-based, UK-registered charity that champions community-based healthcare solutions to make pregnancies and births safer. We work with pregnant women, new mums, communities and local health authorities in Kenya to provide life-saving antenatal and post-natal health information, connect at-risk mums and babies with the healthcare services they need and work with local health authorities to advocate for and improve the quality of care.

The Role

As Fundraising and Administration Officer, you’ll support the fundraising team across our events and supporter stewardship. This varied role will see you work with the team across events and project management, fundraising stewardship and communications alongside incredible international and national travel opportunities supporting Ride Africa and Charity Concierge events. 

Key Objectives

• Support the Events Officer with the delivery of our biggest ever Charity Concierge season across the summer of 2026 providing support for volunteer recruitment and management, and critical on-site support at various festivals

• Support the Child. org team with the delivery of Ride Africa in November 2025; providing valuable support to participants and managing enquiries/requests. 

• Big Give Campaign 2025: support the Communications Officer to hit our Big Give Christmas Challenge appeal target, leading on the timely thanking of donors and supporting the promotion of the appeal through social media and newsletters

• Other events support: support the Events Officer to plan 25th birthday celebration and supporter event in London (The Shindig) and the mentoring and stewardship of our first ever London Marathon team. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Event management support (60%)

  • Event management

    • Procurement support: follow procurement plan and guidelines to source equipment, ensuring delivery to budget and within allocated time frames. 

    • Budget management: log and monitor expenditure across all events, being sure to keep us on track and in line with budget.

    • Equipment management and stock takes: responsible for looking after and ensuring safe storage and tracking of equipment to maximize longevity. 

    • Regular project support: track and follow project management plan for event delivery; work with the Events Officer to prioritise and allocate tasks and resources. 

    • On site support: support the Events team to deliver our flagship events: Ride Africa and Charity Concierge. This includes events set up: erecting gazebos, driving, loading/unloading.

    • Volunteer/participant management. Managing volunteers and participants at our events. Be the first point of contact for queries, respond to challenges and manage day-to-day morale throughout the events

  • Support the Events Officer to track, measure and manage participant recruitment across our Events Programme

  • Fundraising support: track fundraising through third party platforms such as JustGiving and Enthuse, ensuring event fundraising totals are up to date; mentor and support events fundraisers with exceptional stewardship.

 

Fundraising administration and stewardship support (30%)

• Update digital resources (fundraising pages, website, WhatsApp groups) and maintain digital templates and documentation. 

• Deliver high standards of supporter care, including responding to general correspondence (email and phone) and queries regarding fundraising, and ensuring timely thanks to donors.

• Fundraising administration, reconciliation and reporting: ensure Donorfy records are up to date, accurate and kept in accordance with GDPR requirements. 

• Big Give campaign support: track and monitor campaign donations through the Big Give campaign; with the Communications Officer ensure timely thanking and brilliant stewardship of donors. 

Events Marketing support (10%): 

• Social media and digital design tools: use Canva and Hootsuite to publish regular posts to the Charity Concierge and Ride Africa socials (Instagram, Facebook and TikTok), to increase reach, engagement and sign ups.

• Research and develop relationships within the local and surrounding communities to increase support and fundraising income through event participation.

• Work closely with the Communications and Fundraising Officer to keep event websites up to date and make changes to any pages where necessary.
