This is a unique opportunity to join our Community Fundraising team at Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, working with some of our most dedicated and inspiring supporters.

You'll play a key role in supporting bereaved families fundraising in memory of their loved ones, and stewarding other high value supporters to help them create a lasting legacy while shaping the future of our high-value community fundraising programme.

This position is a 12 month fixed term contract.

In line with our EDI strategy and Total Reward policy, we calculate our salaries based on benchmarking data across the charity sector. To ensure fairness for existing staff and new joiners, we do not offer salaries above the advertised rate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture meaningful, long-term relationships with high-value community supporters, particularly bereaved families fundraising through our Brighter Future Funds.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of dedicated supporters, helping them maximise their fundraising potential and make a lasting impact.
  • Play a leading role in developing our Brighter Future Funds programme, using creativity and insight to enhance the supporter experience and strengthen long-term engagement.
  • Lead on special stewardship events, including our annual Evening of Thanks, celebrating the incredible contributions of our supporters.
  • Collaborate with teams & influence across the charity and hospital to create personalised, sensitive and impactful supporter experiences.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Proven fundraising experience, with a track record of building and managing successful long-term supporter relationships, especially for In Memory.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to inspire, engage and influence others.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, empathy and resilience, with the confidence to navigate sensitive conversations.
  • A proactive, creative and strategic approach, with the ability to identify opportunities and drive fundraising growth.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively.

About The team

You'll join a passionate and supportive Community Fundraising team, dedicated to empowering individuals, families and communities to make a difference for seriously ill children.
