Impact & Partnerships Manager
Reporting to: Director of Services and Research
Location: London WC1X
Contract and hours: Permanent contract – from 0.8 FTE to 1.0 FTE (35 hours per week)
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Impact & Partnerships Manager to join our Music Minds Matter team in London, helping us transform mental wellbeing across the UK music sector.
Music Minds Matter works in partnership across music to understand and address the pressures affecting people's mental wellbeing. Through research, preventative support and practical resources, we aim to create a music sector where everyone can thrive.
This is an outward-facing role with an opportunity to shape and grow our wellbeing programmes. You'll build relationships with music businesses, venues, trade bodies, community organisations and other sector partners, identifying opportunities to reach more people, develop new support and create lasting impact.
You'll lead the development and delivery of wellbeing events, activations and programmes, from community-based support and educational activities to targeted initiatives addressing the pressures experienced by people working in different parts of music. Working with our Fundraising team, you'll also help turn sector relationships and emerging opportunities into funded partnerships.
As a Delivery Manager, you'll be accountable for the quality, reach and impact of these programmes, ensuring an excellent experience for participants and partners. You'll lead and support a small team, bring together specialist practitioners and colleagues from across the organisation, and ensure activities are well planned, appropriately resourced, safe and effective.
You'll work closely with our Research, Insights & Innovation, Fundraising and Communications teams to ensure our programmes are informed by evidence, shaped by the people they serve and continually improving.
About You
We're looking for a collaborative, proactive and relationship-focused leader who understands the UK music sector and is motivated by the opportunity to improve the working lives of people across music.
You'll bring:
· Strong knowledge of the UK music sector, including its structures, working environments and the pressures experienced by people working across music.
· Experience of developing successful partnerships, with the ability to identify new opportunities, build trusted relationships and turn ideas into meaningful programmes or collaborations.
· Experience of leading programmes, events or interventions, working with multiple stakeholders to achieve agreed outcomes, budgets and quality standards.
· Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to translate strategic priorities into practical plans and bring together colleagues, partners and specialist practitioners to deliver them.
· Experience of engaging communities and stakeholders, ensuring programmes respond to people's needs, experiences and perspectives.
· Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to represent Music Minds Matter and build relationships across a diverse sector.
Experience in mental wellbeing, health, social impact or the charitable sector would be valuable, as would knowledge of safeguarding and evidence-informed support. However, you don't need to be a mental health practitioner or have worked in a mental health charity.
Above all, we're looking for someone who can combine a genuine understanding of music with the ability to develop partnerships, lead people and turn opportunities into high-quality support that makes a difference.
