Job Title: Engagement Worker

Location: Bedford

Salary: £24,500

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday hours can vary between 08:00 - 16:00, 09:00 - 17:00 and 12:00 - 20:00 on a rota basis which will include varying hours dependent on service needs. You may also be required to work bank holidays if the rota falls on this day.

About the role

We're looking for an Engagement Worker to join our residential service based in Bedford which is a 19-bed residential service close to Bedford Town Centre offering a safe, peaceful and supportive living environment for individuals wishing to engage with support to assist them in increasing their levels of independence. You will support with various responsibilities within the service, with a focus on providing social contact and company to help enhance quality of life, personal safety, health and security, sustainment of tenancy and improving financial independence. You will support our residents to gain the relevant skills and knowledge to gain greater independence, supporting them back into the community. 

The role is varied, with each day being different, depending on service and resident needs. You may need to run and engage in activities, complete support sessions, arrange external activities, in house activities, and support with attending appointments.

HOSPICE NURSE (NIGHT SHIFTS)
Location: Saint Michael’s Hospice, Crimple House, Harrogate
Bank Hours Contract for Night shifts only over 7 days a week.

£18.12 per hour rising to £18.65 per hour plus an enhancement of 30% from 5pm to 8am Monday to Friday and all-day Saturday. 60% enhancement apply on Sundays and bank holidays.

Community Hospice at Home Senior Staff Nurse/Paramedic

The role of Community Hospice at Home Senior Staff Nurse/Paramedic is to provide high quality specialist palliative nursing care, skills, advice and support to patients, carers and those important to the patient. This role will support the delivery of planned and unplanned care across Rennie Grove Peace Hospice.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Actively participate in the development of the organisations planned and unplanned community Hospice at Home model of care.
• To work as part of the multidisciplinary team to provide a high standard of individualised patient / family care and support.
• To be responsible for those patients allocated on a daily basis.
• To ensure that excellent standards of support and clinical practice and care are achieved.
• Deliver specialist palliative nursing care to patients requiring planned and unplanned care. This will include a multi-disciplinary approach for our higher acuity patients with daily virtual and in-person reviews in their homes.
• To work with wider Hospice team as well as system partners to support delivery of care and enable patients to remain in their preferred place of care.
• Improve patient outcomes and experience by providing physical and emotional support to patients, coordinating their care services.
• Participate in activities such as audits and case reviews in order to improve the Hospice at Home service.
• Acting as a our client's ambassador within the community.
• Work across their geographical area (as required) to support safe and effective service delivery.

· Relationship building and engagement – work with external video agencies and freelancers, to brief in, project manage, and deliver content projects that aren’t being produced in house.

· Line manage Multimedia Content Producer – effectively line manage and develop the Multimedia Content Producer including regular 1-2-1 meetings and annual appraisals. Identify learning and development opportunities including training, coaching and skills sharing.

Person Specification:

· Experience planning and implementing content strategies.

· Strong experience of managing video production agencies and other suppliers, from quotation/brief through to delivery.

· Excellent proficiency and understanding of content creation, including video production and editing (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X).

· Strong knowledge of digital requirements such as video sharing formats across channels.

· Experience of line management

Identifying opportunities for systems change will also be a key part of the role, including building relationships with agencies and people with lived experience to understand issues and barriers to accessing treatment, using data and feeding back insight where needed and making sure lessons learnt inform future service delivery.

About You

You have experience of developing relationships and building trust with both individuals and partner organisations and excellent skills in communication and problem-solving.  With demonstrable experience of performance reporting, chairing and facilitating meetings and workshops, you are able to establish joint working protocols and referral pathways with partner organisations.

Experience of analysing data and developing insights to monitor and evaluate the service, along with experience of safeguarding frameworks, line management and experience and understanding of drug and alcohol services.

The Reach Out Service supports people who have substance use issues, taking the support to them either in their accommodation or where they are rough sleeping. The service supports people with their current goals, which can include areas such as starting prescription medication, group work, continued substance use and abstinence.

You will be part of the Dorset Hub which has offices in Bournemouth and Weymouth and will link in with other Shelter teams, including the community advice and legal teams. As Volunteering Development Officer you will be responsible for promoting and enabling a culture of volunteering across Oxfordshire. You will administer and promote the website Oxfordshire Volunteers, helping individuals to find the right opportunity for them and supporting organisations to recruit and retain volunteers.

This role combines home and office working with getting out and about across Oxfordshire, meeting organisations and volunteers face to face, understanding their needs and celebrating and sharing their successes. We work in partnership across the county and developing meaningful relationships with other groups and organisations is an important part of how you will work in this role.

Working with the OCVA team you will contribute to our programme of training and support for the sector, working with our Deputy CEO to develop and deliver identified training and support needs that relate to volunteering. CHRISTIAN HOUSE MANAGER

You will have experience in leading a team to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment.

You will be highly motivated and passionate about the rehabilitation of women leaving prison.

You will be committed to supporting vulnerable women, enabling them to build on their existing strengths to make positive changes in their lives.

You will have overall responsibility for the continuous improvement and consistency of the day-to-day delivery of the project and be responsible for financial planning and have budgetary responsibilities.

You will help to ensure that Grace House becomes a centre of excellence and help set a positive example of the rehabilitation of prison leavers

You will maintain and further the excellent reputation we currently have with our referral prisons to ensure a constant flow of residents, reducing the likelihood of voids.

You will liaise with venue staff where our #SheMatters community courses are run, overseeing a timetable of courses and ensure that all course provision meets the high standards set by ID Grace House UK.

You will have personal experience of running courses with vulnerable and sometimes chaotic women.  The Course Facilitators make up part of the Grace House Team.

You will be responsible for and have experience of fundraising and be willing to work alongside the Imago Dei staff team to ensure the project is financially stable long term. 

You will be willing to undertake on call duties out-of-hours.

KEY TASKS AND DUTIES:

• Ability to motivate, coach and manage the performance of the Grace House Team. To coach the Team on continuous personal development (CPD) and to undertake any qualifications relevant to their role; 

• Ensure robust plans are created in partnership with residents, to support their progression and ensuring their voices are heard;

• Work with the residents of Grace House to help them address habits/choices made which brought them to offend: to assist them in regaining self-esteem, well-being and independence;

• Support the women in every aspect of adjusting to life out of prison, giving both practical and emotional help, and support women as they seek work and permanent housing;

• Lead by example to champion Grace House values, be respectful and compassionate. Manage any behaviour actioned by the Team that does not reflect the values of Grace House and train on the same.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:

• Experience of supporting vulnerable women with mental health, substance misuse, domestic violence, challenging behaviours, offending behaviour
• Have CTC Prison Clearance or be willing to complete the vetting and checks for this
• A practicing Christian*
• Experience of managing a team
• Experience of working in the challenging environment of a prison setting or similar
• Experience of facilitating courses with women presenting challenging behaviours.

Desirable 

• Experience with supporting prison leavers.

The Role
Oversee the supporter acquisition programme.

Established in 1996, Dialogue School Counselling is a BACP accredited school counselling service covering Sussex and Surrey.

We are recruiting for an experienced and qualified School Counsellor on a permanent basis at our well-established Dialogue School Counselling service at Felpham Community College in Felpham, Bognor Regis. You will be working with a range of clients within the Dialogue Thresholds and working to a 6-8 session model. You will be working alongside another experienced Dialogue School Counsellor and working closely with the Student Services Pastoral team at the college.

Key responsibilities

• Run a suitable appointment system flexible to the needs of the school, offering students appropriate assessments and counselling appointments
• Manage the tight time boundaries of the role and the often complex and varied workload
• Liaise with school staff over referrals, waiting lists and appointments
• Carry out initial clinical and risk assessments and establish appropriate referral pathways with other services where appropriate. Continually assess risk throughout each student’s counselling.
• Follow YMCA Dialogue safeguarding procedures; to know who the School’s Designated Safeguarding Officer/s is and how to contact them when a safeguarding concern arises
• Work at all times within the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions
•  Maintain individual membership of the BACP and to become a Registered Member (or other professional body such as HCPC)
• You will establish good professional working relationships with key school staff

• You will have proven experience in safeguarding children and young people, responding to, managing, and referring safeguarding issues
• You will have a BACP Membership; BACP Registered or Accredited. Or other professional body e.g. HCPC
• You will have a keen interest in working with children and will be familiar with using creative therapeutic approaches, along with experience of working in a school setting
