About the Role

This is a strategic leadership role with scope to shape the future of fundraising at The Compassionate Friends. You'll develop and deliver a new fundraising strategy aligned with our organisational goals, with a particular focus on individual giving and donor diversification. You'll lead and support a small team, including our Events & Community Fundraiser and Trusts Fundraiser, and work closely with the CEO, Trustees, and wider staff to embed fundraising across the organisation.

Financial Controller

We are looking for an experienced and solutions-focused Financial Controller to join UKROEd at a pivotal time. The Role

As second-in-command to the Chief Finance Officer, the Financial Controller will oversee the collection, consolidation and analysis of financial data across UKROEd and The Road Safety Trust. This is a broad and hands-on leadership role, central to maintaining strong financial governance, ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance, and safeguarding organisational assets.

You will lead the financial control environment, oversee key financial processes including payroll, procurement, budgeting and reporting, and drive continuous improvement in how financial information is produced, interpreted and used. As a trusted partner to senior leaders and trustees, you will support informed decision-making by providing accurate, timely and high-quality financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee financial operations, controls and compliance across both organisations

About You

Essential Experience & Knowledge

• At least 5 years’ experience managing financial operations.

• BACP Registration or Accreditation and/or eligible for other Professional Accreditation e.g. UKCP/HPC.
• Strong team-management and line-management experience is required, including demonstrated experience in supervising, developing, and supporting staff.

The Community Support team is Age UK Sutton's front door service, providing regulated Information & Advice to the residents of Sutton.  The team support in excess of 3,000 people per year providing a mixture of light touch information provision through to long-term advice provision and casework.

The Finance Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that Emmaus Hertfordshire maintains accurate, timely and compliant financial information in support of its charitable and social enterprise activities.

Emmaus St Albans operates its retail six days a week (Monday–Saturday). The Finance Co-Ordinators working hours will be agreed with the line manager, and flexibility is essential.

The National Gallery is seeking a dynamic professional to lead the delivery of a responsive Information Systems Service Desk and ITSM platform, ensuring exceptional support for National Gallery employees and contractors across on site and remote environments.

This role is pivotal to maintaining the availability and reliability of user facing IT systems, aligning them with the evolving needs of the business. A strong emphasis is placed on service delivery excellence, driving continuous improvement through analysis of service call history, trends, and response rates. Insights from this data will shape resource allocation and inform enhancements to IT infrastructure, ensuring the National Gallery information systems continue to meet organisational requirements and deliver value.

The successful candidate will coordinate with various departments across the Gallery including the IS team, working closely with both technical and non-technical teams to provide a reliable, responsive, and proactive service experience.

Purpose and scope

Key responsibilities

• Provide first class direct and responsive support to the CEO, president and chair of the board of trustees including efficient co-ordination and management of the diary, mail, meetings, travel, accommodation, preparation of agendas, collating information, organisation, and recording meetings as required.

  • assess enquiries directed to the president, CEO and chair of the board of trustees, triaging these in terms of importance, risk and determining any necessary delegation to senior officers and/or executive directors

  • develop and maintain key relationships with counterparts in other medical royal colleges and the wider healthcare network, including membership of networking groups, in order to support key CEO and presidential stakeholder relationships.
