Herts Young Homeless (hyh) are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic youth engagement worker to join our charity. hyh's strategic aim is to 'Be More Youth Led' and this role is crucial in supporting that commitment. The right candidate will be fun, open-minded, tech savvy and enjoy working using their own initiative. They will be passionate about youth engagement and motivated to translate youth ideas into actionable plans for the charity.

The successful candidate will create open, safe and inclusive spaces for young people, to enable them to form and express their voice on issues that are important to them and to hyh. The youth engagement worker will have the opportunity to inform, develop and grow our youth engagement offer; if successful this may lead to professional development opportunities such as line management of volunteers and staff.
What can you bring to the team?
- Candidates Must have a full clean driving license and use of own vehicle for business purposes
- Co-facilitate annual ‘Youth Summits’; consulting young people from across the county on issues related to the charity/youth homelessness.
- Launch and facilitate a youth advisory board (online and in person). Act as an advocate to deliver key youth board messages to our leadership team and board.
- Co-ordinate work experience and apprenticeship opportunities for young people.
- Organise and co-facilitate social events for our young people.
- Support our young housemates in completing ASDAN qualifications.
- Support the content of our digital communication to young people.
- Complete relevant data to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of youth engagement work.
- Ensure youth engagement and coproduction is considered at all levels of the organisation to ensure decision making is youth informed where appropriate.
- Develop new an innovative ways of involving hyh services users in shaping our services and coproducing our work.
- Ensure good ‘youth voice’ communication across all hyh services, providing updates at service team meetings.
- Co-ordinate young people’s involvement in staff recruitment, training and induction
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with external organisations and professionals.

About the role:
We are seeking additional staff to join our experienced and committed teams within our Complex Needs Service in Westminster. You will be in a specialist role designed to work with people with complex support needs, relating to mental health, multiple physical health needs, poly-substance use and offending.
As a Project / Support Worker Complex Needs, your role will be to provide support to clients to enable them to understand their support needs and to manage these effectively. About you:

The Big Issue is looking to appoint to a brand-new role supporting our vendors in our Glasgow region. The Support and Outreach Worker will be a leading role in our belief of “A Hand Up Not a Hand Out”, and has been created to improve our service to vendors, helping them to increase their income through selling our magazine and providing casework support.
You will also positively promote The Big Issue in your local area, build partnerships with third-party organisations and identify and promote opportunities all with the aim of moving people out of poverty.
To offer our vendors the best possible support you will have experience and knowledge of working with vulnerable adults in a frontline setting, along with the ability to offer effective sales advice and guidance.

This is a varied and responsible role. As well as assisting with personal care and sensory needs, you will support individuals with their physical health eg PEG feeding, suction, physiotherapy and medication. You will also carry out everyday household tasks. You will help people to engage in everyday home, social and leisure interests, reaching goals like travelling or holidays and working positively with their families and friends.
Your person-centred approach will enable people to have choices about their own lives. You will work with external health professionals to deliver a service model that promotes and reflects evidence-based practice. ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring a Mental Health Floating Support Coordinator to support our Luton Service which delivers support to individuals living within the community who have support needs pertaining to their mental health and wellbeing. The service works alongside statutory services, with the aim of moving people on to independent living within two years. You will empower and motivate our residents and participants to achieve their personal goals and gain greater independence, which enables them to reintegrate into the community and lead fulfilling lives. - Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs

What we would like, but not essential:
- Appropriate qualification: NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health & Social Care/Community Justice, or professional equivalent
