We’re looking for an experienced individual to join our Community Fundraising team as Community Fundraising Officer, covering our West Midlands hub. You will join us working 35 hours per week on a permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £32,013 per annum plus excellent benefits.

Please note, the successful candidate must be based in or around the West Midlands, this role covers Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire & Birmingham.

The Community Fundraising Officer is an exciting role for a community fundraiser who wants to make a positive impact and drive income generation. Sitting in the Community Fundraising and Events department within the Marketing and Income Generation Directorate the Community Fundraising Officer plays a pivotal role in leading and supporting community activities to drive and grow community fundraised income. This is an opportunity to work across a diverse range of products and activities, work alongside dedicated volunteers, meet our loyal supporters and demonstrate the joy and impact of community fundraising all for the benefit of cats and kittens in the UK. 

What we’re looking for:

• Experience of raising funds in a community fundraising environment
• Experience in planning, organising and delivering fundraising campaigns and activities

• Good working knowledge of transaction/contact database (preferably CARE NG)

As Fundraising Training and Engagement Officer, working with a Direct Marketing Manager, you will deliver inspiring training presentations to agency face to face fundraisers, and work with the agency to help them deliver their own training sessions.

You will work closely with all key services areas of the charity and the wider operations team, to create and develop content to inspire fundraisers for all training materials.

With the Manager, you’ll support with building relationships of external agency partners, as well as the day-to-day management and monitoring of third-party fundraisers, and supporting with the smooth running of campaigns.

Key responsibilities:

Fundraiser Training, Engagement and Quality

• Deliver inspiring training sessions about services, engaging fundraisers to be passionate about their work and the work of the charity.
• Build strong relationships with the operational team to gain greater knowledge of how the service operates, and feed this into fundraiser training sessions.
• Maintain and refine Fundraiser Training Decks with up to date and relevant content.
• Responsible for training observation and monitoring plans for external agencies.
• Alongside the DM Manager, support on the development of an annual training plan.
• Work with external suppliers to ensure that they are operating to the highest standards.

Planning & Organising

• Work alongside the DM Manager as a contact for agency partners and campaign activity.  
• Assist on the development of operational plans for multiple fundraising campaigns, along with analysing results to ensure ROI is delivered.

Administration Duties

• Reviewing and recording all invoices.
• Maintain training materials and stock of marketing and training materials.

To be successful as the Fundraising Training and Engagement Officer, you will be able to demonstrate prior skills and experiences in the following areas:

• Presenting or communications information to large groups, either face to face or via a remote setting.
• Engaging, inspiring and motivating others to achieve targets and deliver against campaign objectives.
• Working with PowerPoint and Excel to create, deliver and develop training programmes.

Additional desirable skills, though these skills are not essential, are areas such as:  

• Managing the performance of external agencies to deliver successful campaign.

The role will manage the Donor Acquisition Fundraiser and In-Memory Fundraiser and be responsible for the overall delivery of our individual giving strategy.

As the Individual Giving Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the planning and implementation of our individual giving programme of fundraising and activities, aimed at individuals. It will be the Individual Giving Manager’s responsibility to generate significant income through individual gifts, campaigns and appeals, regular giving, in memoriam giving, lottery and legacies, and to increase activity and income from these sources.

This role will manage, develop and grow the charity’s portfolio of trusts and foundation donors, as well as leading and delivering Full Fact’s trust fundraising strategy, identifying and building relationships with new prospects who have the capacity to support at 5/6-figure level. The Fundraising Training and Engagement Officer (Face to Face) will support the development, management, and optimisation of London’s Air Ambulance Lottery and Regular Giving programs which has phenomenal success via face-to-face fundraising. An exciting opportunity which will see the successful candidate working closely with the Operations Team, paramedics, doctors, and pilots to develop and deliver training to face-to-face fundraisers that brings the work of London’s Air Ambulance to life. North London Hospice has been caring for local people since 1984. They are committed to empowering patients with life limiting illnesses, supporting them to achieve the best quality of life possible. As the Individual Giving Manager for this team, you will drive income to the hospice from individuals, growing and retaining donors through direct mail cash appeals, regular giving, lottery, in-memory giving and legacy promotion. There is a real culture of test and learn within this programme to help achieve ambitious targets, so an appetite for success and demonstrable track in at least one of the core IG channels will be crucial.

The selected candidate will have experience of managing and developing an individual giving programme and good demonstrable experience of building relationships with donors or customers. You will ideally have experience of managing third party fundraisers, agencies and suppliers and will enjoy creating and implementing donor journeys too.

Transforming Lives for Good (TLG) are a national Christian charity working in partnership with local churches to give struggling children a hope and a future. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join our award winning (Sunday Times Best Not for Profit to work for) team as Supporter Development Fundraising Lead. 

The Supporter Development Fundraising Lead will play a crucial role. We are looking for a high energy, passionate fundraiser who is highly relational. You will work towards the income targets including regular, one off and mission pot donations. In addition, you will understand goals that work together with income, including acquisition and stewardship targets, applying your strong knowledge of the Code of Fundraising Practice across all our activities and ensure we work in a compliant way.   

The ideal candidate will be familiar with fundraising methods including prospecting, research, making initial contact, and growing a connection to our movement through one-to-one conversations and other communications channels. We’re looking for somebody who is highly organised and able to deliver events from concept to finish. You will also be a team player, able to engage and motivate other team members to get on board with fundraising and bring their expertise to the process.

TLG is also committed to safeguarding children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment.
