The role
We’re seeking an Events and Project Officer to join our ambitious Support, Research, and Influencing team.
This is a brand-new role that will play a vital role in our team to ensure health professionals across the UK have a better awareness and understanding of pancreatic cancer and the complex supportive care needs of those affected. You can be proud to know that you’re playing a part in these services which will ultimately improve the standard of support and care received by people affected by pancreatic cancer from their healthcare team.
In this role, you will:
- Co-ordinate a selection of our highly-rated virtual educational events for health professionals.
- Support with the development and creation of new online courses and reviews of existing online courses for health professionals.
- Co-ordinate the delivery of our patient-facing webinars, working in collaboration with the support services team and nurses.
- Support with the co-ordination of our annual in-person Research Forum; parliamentary events and health improvement events; and engagement events with stakeholders in Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales.

- You will have experience in coordinating successful events, in particular webinars.
- You will have excellent organisational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- You will be passionate about working for the charity and transforming the future for people affected by pancreatic cancer.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individuals to join our fundraising team as a Supporter Engagement Officer. In this role, you will play a vital role in building and growing relationships with our individual donors and managing digital campaigns and challenge events to help the team raise as much funding as possible to support people experiencing homelessness across London.
About the role:
As the Supporter Engagement Officer, you will be responsible for the stewardship of new and existing donors to becoming regular Single Homeless Project supporters. Working closely with the Supporter Engagement Lead and alongside the fundraising team, you will contribute towards the delivery of achieving SHP's overarching vision of a society where everyone has a place to call home and the chance to live a fulfilling life.
In your role, you will be responsible for building and delivering a successful supporter engagement campaigns focusing on:
- Building and growing relationships with our fantastic supporters throughout their journey with Single Homeless Project.
- Supporting with the management and delivery of a portfolio of fundraising events.
- Developing and delivering engaging digital campaigns and content through our online portfolio of products and emergency appeals.
- Working with internal SHP departments to create new concepts for supporter engagement.
- Stewarding new and existing donors to become regular supporters of Single Homeless Project.
Please note the role will follow a hybrid working model, with two days working in our head office in Kings Cross and 3 days WFH.
About you:
- Highly numerate and attentive to detail, with strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically.

- Experience of working on digital campaigns and understanding of PPC advertising.

BEO is a civil rights charity that was set up to challenge and dismantle systemic racism. We work with Black communities by using campaigning, policy and research in conjunction with the law to effect meaningful change.
Legal services are central to BEO. We are therefore looking for someone of 4yrs PQE who has experience in social welfare, human rights, public and administration law and who seeks an opportunity to use those skills specifically in the area of challenging systemic racism.
In the last year we have been developing our relationships with partner organisations, ranging from community groups, our stakeholder law firms, NGOs and law firms experienced in equality and discrimination law, to deliver legal services. The role holder will be required to build on and expand these relationships so that BEO can offer quality legal advice to Back communities in the nations and regions across the United Kingdom.
We are building our internal legal team so that we can provide targeted legal support to Black communities. We are looking for someone to work with the Director of Legal Services and Policy to ensure that high quality legal advice, support and representation are the hallmark of BEO.

We are delighted to have secured funding to set up and establish a robust impact and data collection process and database so that clear outcomes can be measured and collected for the different areas within our adoption support services. This is a new role and the postholder will play a key part in delivering on this work.
Working alongside Adoption Support colleagues, the Database Officer will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the database, ensuring data is kept up to date as well as inputting, monitoring and evaluating data and service user details. They will also contribute to the collection of feedback and case studies from service users.
The Database Officer will produce comprehensive and tailored reports using both qualitative and quantitative data, derived from the new monitoring and evaluation system. These evidence-based reports are produced for a variety of audiences and will contribute to evidencing the effectiveness of PACT’s adoption support services.
We are looking for someone with previous experience in an administrative support role, with database and/or data capture administration experience. To succeed in this role, you will be proficient in producing reports from a database with a keen eye for accuracy and detail and have strong data analysis skills with an ability to derive meaningful insights.

Duties and key responsibilities
Policy
- Work with the Policy and Public Affairs Manager to support and deliver Sarcoma UK’s policy development.
- Support the development of evidence-based policy positions that are representative of the external healthcare environment, working alongside colleagues, clinical and healthcare professionals.
- Produce a range of high-quality, evidence-based documents including briefings, reports, and consultation responses.
- Support the Policy and Public Affairs Manager to respond to government and other sarcoma-focused or cancer consultations.
- Provide the Secretariat to Sarcoma UK’s Early Diagnosis Expert Steering Group and support their work to raise the profile of issues preventing early and accurate diagnosis of sarcoma.
- Work with other teams in the organisation to articulate and deliver communications for supporter audiences around policy work.
Public Affairs
- Develop relationships with key influencers, including parliamentarians, civil servants, the NHS and other stakeholders.
- Work with the Policy and Public Affairs Manager and Communications Team to shape campaigns which are evidence based and solution-focused.
- Organise events, meetings and briefings to ensure our policy messages are communicated to external stakeholders and influencers.
- Ensure our supporters are regularly updated about our public affairs and campaigning activity using communication channels and involve them where appropriate.
- To support the Communications Team to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of sarcoma, and to publicise the work of the charity.
External relationships
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with sarcoma clinicians and people personally affected by sarcoma, including members of Sarcoma UK’s Early Diagnosis Expert Steering Group.
- Represent Sarcoma UK at external Policy and Public Affairs events.
General
- Support the integration of the Policy and Public Affairs programme across the charity as a whole.
- Attend Sarcoma UK events and take part in Sarcoma UK’s wider work.
- The role will require occasional travel to meeting and events. Occasional weekend or evening work may also be required and time off in lieu will be given.
- The post holder will be working in a developing environment, and they will therefore be required to undertake other appropriate duties as necessary for the efficient operation of Sarcoma UK.

Working as part of the services team, you’ll be a key player in how we develop and deliver our impactful courses.
All of our courses aim to increase confidence and independence in a supportive environment. They’re also led by people who have a spinal cord injury themselves – allowing participants to learn from others who have who have been there and can understand the issues and challenges. They quite literally transform lives.
With your organisational skills and desire to make a positive impact, you’ll play a vital role in helping us realise our vision of a world where people affected by spinal cord injury can reach their full potential.
Day-to-day, you’ll be working with volunteers, partners and participants to make sure our courses are a success. You’ll be responsible for the administration and logistics to make sure that courses are filled, delivered smoothly and efficiently to make sure our courses are a success and deliver the best possible experience to everyone involved.
You’ll be a confident communicator with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. You’ll enjoy planning and seeing projects through to delivery, be that independently or as part of a wider team.

When someone sustains a spinal cord injury, it is a life changing experience.
Back Up’s Regional Outreach and Engagement team are the very face of the organisation and are based across the UK, working directly with spinal cord injury centres, hospitals – or indeed anywhere that people affected by spinal cord injury may be.
As a Regional Coordinator, you will build relationships and take ownership for what happens in your geographical area. Whether it be providing peer support to newly injured people in a clinical setting, facilitating wheelchair skills sessions, making referrals for ongoing support or supporting volunteers and fundraisers – you will be passionate about being able to demonstrate the impact of what we do, and will see for yourself how Back Up quite literally transforms lives.

As the Operations Assistant you will be supporting the Operations Manager in delivering and maintaining an effective operational function at the charity. Including but not exclusively, Health & Safety, Premises, Facilities, Vehicle Management, and IT Services.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support
· Act as the first point of contact for premises, facilities, IT and Estates issues across all Weston Park Cancer Charity locations.
· Assist the Operations Manager in maintaining a secure and organised premises and facilities, which ensure colleagues, volunteers and visitors are safe and experience a welcoming environment.
· Support the Operations Manager in the successful delivery of the Annual Operations plan.
· Provide administrative support to the Operations Manager and Operations Working Group.
· Support with updating operational policies and procedures.
· Act as a Charity Data Protection Officer (DPO), alongside the Operations Manager - following relevant training, to promote a strong GDPR culture.
· Assist in the coordination of the charity car maintenance and safety checks, including keeping auditable records.
· Assist in the control and coordination of the use of charity space and assets, including liaising with contractors and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals (STH) on relevant matters as required.
· Act as a designated keyholder, responsible for the opening and closing procedure.
Health & Safety
· Serve as the first point of contact for all Health & Safety matters, including incidents and accidents, ensuring accurate recording and reporting.
· Provide operational and administrative support on all Health & Safety matters at our sites and external locations (including external events and the Outreach Service, updating COSHH reports)
· Assist in the procurement and delivery of training.
· Help establish and maintain safe working practices and policies and undertake basic risk assessments.
Workwear and equipment
· Act as the first point of contact for workwear and equipment requests; including being responsible for issuing and returning stock, regular stock checks and ordering stock as required.
Tech Support
· Serve as the first point of contact for general IT enquiries
· Consult with IT consultants to ensure adherence to processes
· Work with the Operations Manager to implement processes that maintain the IT security score.
· Assist in the onboarding and offboarding of employees, including software licenses, logins, and induction training
General Administrative Support & Development
· Handle general enquiries from staff, patients, and volunteers efficiently.
· Manage the operations team telephone, email, and postal enquiries.
· Assist the Operations Manager with the procurement of stationery and consumables.
· Assist the wider team with ad hoc work and undertake small projects that support the charity's work. e.g. Events, Logistical and Tech Support.
Environmental Advocate
· Work with the Operations Manager to promote environmental awareness and encourage the charity adopts a green approach (e.g., recycling, energy use, carbon footprint)
· Identify and implement actions to reduce environmental impacts, costs, and/or increase income under the direction of the Operations Manager.
