Business Development Manager – Environmental Markets

This role will develop that connection in the fast moving sector of Nature Finance, Business Development and Nature Based Solutions working with others who are creatively and systematically looking for solutions which will connect Surrey’s wildlife at a landscape level.
We are building an innovative new team focused on county wide recovery and green finance investment within the county of Surrey. This role will also manage the Trust’s internal and external processes around Nature (green) Finance and drive forward investment in nature at a landscape level.
As a senior role reporting into the Director of Business Development and Partnerships; practical experience of green finance including biodiversity net gain is essential; experience will also need to include demonstrable examples of project managing medium/large scale projects, contract management, financial analysis and working in a fast paced environment.
Our challenge is to restore Surrey’s nature and maximise climate adaptation and resilience following Lawton’s approach for a bigger, better, more joined up ecological network. We will do this both on our own land holding and by working with other landowners and managers in partnership as we strive towards a target of 30% of land connected and protected for nature by 2030. We have the opportunity to embed a zero carbon, nature-based solution approach within economic recovery and landowner decision-making.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a Partnerships Manager to join our team. 3. Developing and maintaining an annual calendar of community fundraising activities.

5. Management and growth of Inspire's entry to mid-level corporate partnerships.
6. Working with delivery team colleagues to ensure funders’ reports are completed on time and to a high standard.

Job Purpose:
The Project Development Manager will be the main point of contact for the collaboration. They will be responsible for implementing and delivering the project plan, monitoring, evaluations, reporting, all systems and processes, coordinating meetings, etc and for generating income through (mainly) Corporate partnerships but may include some Trusts and High Value individuals. These partners will be with organisations/individuals who would otherwise be outside the reach of any of the three charities individually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create systems and processes for administering and managing the functions of the partnership.
- Ensure regular project group meetings take place.
- Lead on the promotion of the brand and communications activities in conjunction with the communications experts on the project group.

About You:
Having worked in a third sector direct marketing role previously, you will have experience running effective national and regional campaigns using a variety of fundraising channels including digital, email, social media, direct mail, and telemarketing. With your good organisational and time management skills you’ll be able to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities under pressure.
You will have knowledge of usability testing, user research methods and conversion rate optimisation as well as an understanding of fundraising regulator guidance, gambling commission compliance and GDPR.

- Manage the delivery of all Retention campaigns from concept through to evaluation, using data and insight to drive creative and production, drawing up schedules, and managing the approval processes
- Work collaboratively with data teams to ensure effective use of supporter profiling for delivery across a range of Retention campaigns
- Manage relationships with external agencies including media houses, designers and printers; to negotiate costs and relevant performance reviews
- Responsibility for collation of all KPI tracking, trend analysis and activity results that feed into the team’s reporting and performance structure
- Work alongside the Content team to research and develop strong cases for support to appeal to existing donors. To gather information, case studies and photos for use in all direct marketing campaigns. Where appropriate, to liaise with external agencies such as designers and copywriters

Supporting the Direct Marketing Manager, you'll play a key role in generating voluntary income across various channels with a particular focus on regular giving, improving our current products and growing our digital offering to enable us to meet our ambitious targets. Products include Value Exchange and our Lottery, alongside two exciting new products we are looking to introduce this year. You’ll also be responsible for the development, implementation, day to day management, evaluation, and delivery of our acquisition portfolio.
You will either be able to work in a hybrid way working between home and 2 days per week at our London office or remotely working from home with a requirement to attend our London office for a team anchor day once a month.

About You:
You will have experience of running effective national and regional campaigns using a variety of fundraising channels including digital, email, social media, direct mail, and telemarketing. With your good organisational and time management skills you’ll be able to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities under pressure.
You will have knowledge of google analytics as well as an understanding of fundraising regulator guidance, gambling commission compliance and GDPR.

The Marketing Communications Officer will oversee consistent and high-quality communication both internally and externally of the key SightCare proposition.
Working alongside the Membership Manager, Social Media and Content Officer and Business Development Manager, you will develop and implement plans to engage members, prospects, and lapsed members, building and maintaining relationships with optical suppliers and external vendors and stakeholders, whilst managing the department budget.
You will:
- Demonstrate a track record of developing brand and market positioning, using analytical tools to ensure effective communications, acting as brand gatekeeper, coordinating consistent communication of key messages, and tasks.
- Have experience of overseeing websites, email marketing and social media platforms with experience of managing and maintaining CRM systems (HubSpot), ensuring, and adhering to GDPR requirements and providing regular updates and reporting as required.
- Be able to plan, coordinate and manage an annual programme of events, including the effective delivery of the annual conference, building relations with sponsors to ensure its financial viability.
