The role
We are looking for Housing Support Workers who can provide intensive housing management & support to service users in our supported housing projects.
You will work proactively with service users who have been homeless and have complex needs to sustain their tenancies and move on into independent living.
You will also work empathetically to empower services users, actively engaging them with the community and helping them to support each other, to develop resilience, to live independently, and to be an asset to the community.
The right fit

You will have prior experience with service users who have been homeless and/or have complex needs including, Mental health, substance misuse, domestic abuse & chaotic lives etc.

You will also have strong ICT skills.

You will be competent in facilitating support sessions and devising support plans to achieve successful outcomes. These will be person centred in their approach, identifying individual needs and strengths of each Service User.

You will have experience in working in the housing sector

You will have experience of liaising with partner agencies to compliment individual support packages

We are looking for a Lead Worker to join the Lambeth Temporary Accommodation Support Service. Our team are commissioned to work with, and support individuals placed in temporary accommodation by the London Borough of Lambeth.
You will:
- Assess the housing and other needs of people living in Temporary Accommodation in Lambeth
- Complete referrals for immediate and long-term housing options, and refer people to organisations that can help with other support needs

What we are looking for;
- Experience of influencing at a senior management and board level
- Experience of leading people, and developing key internal and external relationships
- Proven experience of advising at senior levels
- Experience of leading and managing significant reward and performance related projects and delivering successful outcomes
- Significant experience in a reward specialist role, operating with a high degree of autonomy
- Excellent report writing and data presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex matters accurately and clearly
- Experience of effectively communicating reward frameworks to staff and other key stakeholders (such as Senior Leadership Team)
- Ability to work effectively at both the strategic and operational level
- Excellent task leadership and management skills, with the ability to deliver projects to plan, cost and quality
- Demonstrable success of building good relationships and partnerships with key influencers across the organisation
- Ability to develop reward strategies and plans and communicate the benefits and risks options to key stakeholders
- Experience in extracting and analysing data from HR systems, in order to inform decision making and fulfil statutory reporting obligations
- Ability to present data and qualitative and quantitative data and management information clearly and in an insightful way
- Sound numerical skills and attention to detail to be able to compile and check statistical reports
- Strong skill-set in using Excel and other software, to undertake complex performance and reward modelling
- Experience of job evaluation methodology and job families

About this role…
Thames Reach’s Outreach teams operate across London and helps those who are rough sleeping to find routes away from the street. The teams respond rapidly and work flexibly to reach people. Individuals are assessed to identify their support needs and support plans are created, including work to obtain identification, access health services and refer to other specialist agencies, including those offering immigration support.
We are looking for Support Workers to join the East Surrey Outreach Service team.
You will:
• Complete outreach shifts, providing a rapid response to referrals for people who are rough sleeping across four districts.
• Working closely with Lead Workers and Assistant Support Workers to identify the quickest and most appropriate route off the street for people found rough sleeping, and devise plans to achieve this.
• Provide direct support to people who are found rough sleeping to enable them to move away from the streets and into accommodation.
• Work alongside partner agencies to ensure that clients are accessing appropriate support to access and sustain accommodation.
• Accurately record all work completed within given timeframes.
• Have a UK Driving Licence.
To succeed as the Support Worker you will have:
• A strong commitment to providing a high standard of service.
• Experience working with people who have slept rough or vulnerable adults and supporting them to access services.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills in order to remain strongly outcome focused, with the ability to coordinate a high number of cases and complete tasks promptly and efficiently.

• Confident in building strong working relationships with partner agencies, being able to challenge them when required.

Assessment Centres are fast paced services where people are referred in, usually from the street, and rapidly referred on to appropriate longer term accommodation. The services are short stay, and staff provide wrap around support and liaison with several external partners, including physical health, mental health, substance use and housing. Staffed 24 hours to ensure this quick turnaround, they are a key service to ensure people are off the streets and in stable accommodation.

In Birmingham our team has over 40 staff plus a team of volunteers. We specialise in housing advice and homelessness work, with a particular focus on families and people experiencing multiple disadvantage. About the role
We have a new three year partnership with a leading bank, which aims to build financial resilience and break the cycles that can see people experiencing financial problems and this having a negative effect on their housing situation.
Your role will be to provide leadership and line management for six team members, keeping up to date with legislation, mentoring and coaching your team on complex issues in housing, debt and welfare benefits. The views of people with Lived Experience is key to service design at Shelter and you will lead on making sure they are involved to deliver a service that is truly co-produced. akt is the UK’s national LGBTQ Youth Homelessness charity. We provide safe homes, mentoring, and support to ensure that no young person needs to choose between a safe home and being who they are. 24% of young people facing homelessness in the UK identify as LGBT (National Scoping of LGBT Youth Homelessness, akt, 2015) and 78% of LGBTQ+ young people cited an absence of family support (The LGBTQ+ Youth Homelessness Report, akt, 2021). Job Summary
Please note this is a part time role working 21 hours per week with a pro rata salary of £15,450 per year (£25,750 per year full time equivalent).
The role will involve the provision of youth engagement activities to a diverse range of LGBTQ+ young people aged 16-25 who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or living in a hostile environment. Our focus is in maintaining our ability to provide the highest service possible, giving our young people the opportunities to access peer support, community engagement and life skills. Overall, we aim to support LGBTQ+ young people into safe accommodation and work or education and prevent them from becoming homeless again in the future.

- With the support of the Youth Engagement Manager develop, manage, and grow akt’s LGBTQ+ youth work programme in Manchester.
- Facilitate group work and peer support sessions and complete risk assessments.
- Support the Trans Pathway group.
- Develop and grow our programme of LGBTQ+ national and regional youth events.
- Work with young people and colleagues to explore the potential for national/regional trans youth events and activities.
- Support young people to be involved with the development and creation of an ever-growing collection of online/practical resources and videos to provide advice, support and reassurance to LGBTQ+ young people, on issues and topics that matter to them most, in conjunction with Digital Services and Marcomms Teams.
- Support fundraising and business development activities in relation to the growth of our youth work and youth engagement work.
- Support young people with opportunities to be involved in participation events.
- Support the Youth Engagement Manager to engage young people in research opportunities and sharing experiences to shape best practice for external partner agencies.
- Engage with external providers on intersectionality to ensure groups are inclusive and accessible at the service.
- Support the planning and delivery of national events for young people.
- Support youth engagement activities in other cities as required.
