About you

You will need to be an active team player and be able to demonstrate how you’ve managed and motivated a team previously beyond expectations and experience of providing excellent customer service in a face-to-face role.

Derwent Square is a mental health project, that offers supported housing to 5 Residents. On 1st June 2024, Richmond Fellowship, part of Recovery Focus, a national group of charities highly experienced in providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling and domestic violence merged with Humankind to form a single organisation that provides the joined-up mental health, housing and drug and alcohol support we’ve all known has been needed for decades. OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As the KFCYF Youth Mentor you will be building voluntary, trusted relationships with young people, away from many of the other pressures they may be facing in their lives. Service Delivery
Effective planning of a range of different high quality work with young people - play and youth work and early help provision, that meets the needs of children, young people and families including through direct and partnership delivery with third sector providers.
Delivery of high quality face to face work with young people using a range of engagement methods; inclusive of sports, arts, cultural and recreational activity that promotes the development of well-being
You will have a local knowledge and be able to develop a meaningful dialogue with children, young people and families, with the purpose of assessing their needs and creating programmes to meet them.

Leadership

Complete risk assessments are carried out for the premises, activities and services and updated as and when necessary.
Administration
Maintain accurate and up to date records of attendance data and other information as required.
Maintain records of interventions

The role will include but will not be limited to:

· Engaging with young people identifying their passions, personal needs, and aspirations and helping to remove any barriers which prevents them achieving their full potential.

· Conducting interviews with applicants, performing the appropriate needs and risk assessments and reference checks before offering accommodation.

· Ensuring minimal vacancies by promptly arranging cleaning and preparing flats to be re-let as quickly as possible.

· Visiting properties as agreed, to ensure safety, overall good condition, and residents’ adherence to the licence agreement.
The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy, approachable and interested in young people and adept at prioritising tasks efficiently. You'll need to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a commitment to delivering quality housing services. Excellent communication skills are a must, as you'll collaborate effectively with a diverse range of agencies.

On 1st June 2024, Richmond Fellowship, part of Recovery Focus, a national group of charities highly experienced in providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling and domestic violence merged with Humankind to form a single organisation that provides the joined-up mental health, housing and drug and alcohol support we’ve all known has been needed for decades. Role: Housing Officer

Hours: 35 hours per week
Starting salary: £24,337

We’re looking for a capable and caring person to join Lancashire Mind’s existing Housing Team. Under the direction of the Housing Operations Lead, you will manage a caseload of tenants with enduring mental health conditions living in properties that are managed by Lancashire Mind.

Via home visits, you will work with each tenant to agree a support plan to enable them to maintain their tenancy and move towards independent living.

You will build strong working relationships with local services to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting tenants, whilst at the same time developing and maintaining good working relationships with other local services and organisations that provide support services to tenants. 

You will complete and update records of interactions with tenants on the internal database and input data accurately onto monitoring spreadsheets. 

Experience of delivering a housing/tenancy management service, including arrears management, tenancy management (help with budgeting, managing bills and claiming the correct benefits), antisocial behaviour, safeguarding, repairs and health and safety, would be beneficial, but is not essential.

To succeed in the role, you will need excellent communication skills, be IT literate, and able to establish relationships based on trust with different people.

You will be flexible and adaptable with excellent time management and organisational skills. This is an exciting time as Lancashire Mind is growing and we want someone who believes in our vision of a Lancashire where everyone can have the best mental health and wellbeing possible.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Housing professional to join our small, but supportive, Housing Team working with ISHA’s older adults and providing an enhanced housing management service. It is an interesting and varied role for an engaging, solution-focused person, with a passion for providing excellent people-focused services, and someone who wants to add value within an organisation.

You will work closely with the external Care and Support agencies caring for our residents, to support with maintaining a safe and secure living environment and their wellbeing. This includes continuous improvement across all areas of the role, while helping to support and achieve our organisational objectives.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

• Assess residents referred to the service.
• Liaise with colleagues to ensure viewings and lettings are coordinated and completed at the earliest opportunity.
• Work with colleagues to assist residents in maximising income and benefit entitlement.
• Take reasonable measures to ensure the security and health and safety of residents in their home.
