They are looking for a new Assistant Coach, to work alongside the Centre Manager, as part of the team at Citizen Church to deliver the Spear Programme, equipping and empowering unemployed 16–24 year olds to overcome barriers to employment and turn their lives around by moving into sustainable work or further education.
The important stuff
Salary: £21,000 p.a. pro rata for part-time role (£10,500)
Hours: Part time, 2.5 days per week, between 9.30am – 5.30pm, Tuesday – Thursday (with some flexibility and occasional evening or weekend work for events such as Spear Celebrations)

Key Responsibilities
Spear Programme
- Lead group sessions of up to 10 young people, using coaching skills to transform their mindsets, and to maximise their potential in stepping into the world of work
- Prepare and deliver coaching sessions on a weekly basis and find creative ways of developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees. This includes running application workshops with past Trainees as well as maintaining records and reporting on statistics.
Relationship management
- Build and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, and other organisations
- You will support with job fairs, mock interview days and welcoming external visitors to the centre
Church Community
- The Spear Coach is directly employed by Citizen Church, meaning you are part of a vibrant church staff team and submerged in an exciting faith community
- Help to raise the profile of the Spear programme within Citizen Church and build a network of supporters and volunteers from the congregation
- Other ad hoc church responsibilities from time to time.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant to join the Executive department of Samaritan’s Purse International (SPI) and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), supporting the Executive Director (ED) and wider Senior Management Team (SMT). We support those who are sexually exploited with unconditional acceptance, compassion and dignity to rebuild their lives and achieve their own identity and freedom. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Service delivery

Ensure that all aspects of Rahab’s project activities are planned, organized and undertaken to fulfil their objectives within their required timelines.

Develop, organize, and maintain project documentation, plans, reports, and other project-related documents to monitor and track overall progress, outputs and achievement of milestones.

Work with the team to identify and engage in new professional relationships with key organisations across different sectors, and maintain our existing networks of contacts, to (i) develop and expand Rahab’s activities and reach, and (ii) foster collaboration.

Variation clause

Flexibility clause
To deliver services effectively a degree of flexibility is required, and the post holder may be required to perform work not specifically outlined above and/or outside of specified working hours. Overtime will not be paid; however, TOIL will be accrued for hours worked and staff supported to take that time. This post includes occasional evening work.

This is a new role for the Circuit, replacing a volunteer. In designing the position, the Circuit has aimed for maximum flexibility to secure the best candidate for the role. Initially, the person will need physically to attend some meetings to familiarise themselves with the Circuit's operations and ensure a smooth hand-over. For the right person, though, there will be considerable flexibility about how the duties are fulfilled in the longer-term. It is specifically expected that the role will allow for flexible scheduling to accommodate other responsibilities, including caring.
The Richmond & Hounslow Circuit comprises seven churches in southwest London. As with all Methodist circuits, these churches function autonomously yet collaborate closely in their ministry and mission efforts. The Circuit oversees joint resources, including staff and property. Presently, it employs four full-time ordained ministers, one full-time lay pastor, and a part-time administrator. As a part of the Methodist Church, its mission is “to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission”. To fulfil this mission, the Circuit fosters a broad spectrum of ministry within its congregations, focusing on worship but also engaging in outreach to the homeless, asylum seekers, new parents, and various other groups. You will work closely with our partner organisations who are using the Big Green Heart model, ensuring that the high standards and values of our teaching are maintained.

You will also work with the Big Green Heart team to onboard new partner organisations. You will work with them to understand their needs and secure buy-in.

You will collaborate with the trustees, who also contribute to tasks linked with Big Green Heart's development.

You will manage the budgeting and financial planning processes, working closely with the Treasurer.

You will be trained as a Big Green Heart facilitator with an expectation that you may be needed to facilitate a workshop during your time at the organisation.

You will participate in professional and networking events related to Big Green Heart’s field of intervention.

You will support staff members, trustees and volunteers, providing guidance and training in the operations of the charity as needed.

NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS

At least two years experience in operations management, preferably within the charity sector.

A self motivated individual, capable of independent working.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Location: Home-based, own transport is essential as travel will be required region-wide.We need one member of staff to cover Cumbria and North Lancashire.

This role will seek to identify new high-level donors, as well as help to develop existing relationships with our generous supporters.
