The role:
This person will oversee the Human Resource function across the Trust, this will include developing & embedding the People & Culture Strategy for the organisation, ensuring they work effectively as a virtual organisation and will also include the ongoing development of HR processes and practices in line with legislation, culture and values.
The person:
The successful candidate will have substantial experience as an HR Manager within a busy organisation, ideally in the charity sector but this experience could equally be gained in the corporate or local Government sectors. This person will have the ability to manage working relationships in a fair and compassionate manner and to respect confidentiality at all times. They should possess good communication skills, sound management experience and motivate others and will naturally set a good example.
Candidates should also have a firm grasp of laws and regulations and how to abide by them. In addition, this person should be able to take direction from executives and disseminate policy to the relevant employees and the organisation as a whole.
This person will be able to work in a relatively small (virtual) Team based across the United Kingdom. The preferred candidate will understand the challenges of remote working and help the organisation to develop ways of working to ensure an effective, efficient and happy workforce with a strong sense of shared values and a one team approach.

We are seeking to appoint two experienced Safeguarding Officers on a permanent contract; altogether 1.3 full-time equivalent between the two posts, with hours being negotiable with successful candidates.The post holders will have a relevant professional qualification and be able to demonstrate a proven track record of direct safeguarding practice with vulnerable adults or children or both. Location: Home-based, own transport is essential as travel will be required region-wide.We need one member of staff to cover Cumbria and North Lancashire.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 09:00 and 17:00. Also to include some evenings and occasional weekends.
Salary: £40,000 to £42,000 pro rata, dependent on experience.

As the Administration and Liaison Officer you will be the primary point of contact and the face of the Rugby foodbank for all stakeholders. We are looking for an experienced CEO or senior charity manager, able to manage the business functions of a charity that is just starting out. You will have a proven track record of managing a small, prosocial organisation and setting up the systems necessary for success. You will have skills to work strategically, have business management skills, be able to lead and grow a team and work relationally.
As CEO an important goal will be to put the charity on a firm foundation for long-term sustainability. You will work with our fundraising consultant to ensure a steady income stream of core funding, ensuring financial stability for employees and building partnerships with local organisations to maximise impact and sustainability through collaborative work and partnership bids. This requires considerable, skilled networking and relationship-building, both within the Church’s Community Hub, with our existing partner VCFSE organisations and in the wider sector, including local Councils, PCNs and the ICB.
You will also be principally responsible for the organisation’s HR function, risk and compliance, as well as its monitoring and evaluation of impact (for quality assurance and fundraising purposes). This means ensuring best practice is observed and maintained in these and related areas, including line management, service policy, financial management, safeguarding and data privacy.
Knowledge and/or lived experience of mental health difficulties and the relevant support services/treatment modalities is essential; experience working within the mental health sector is highly desirable. We are seeking someone who is passionate about mental health and views this role as an exciting, long-term opportunity to make a significant difference to the lives of thousands of adults in Birmingham.
