Instructional Design Learning Developer
Our People Development team are looking for an enthusiastic creative thinker with a passion for learning, great design instincts, and good communication skills to cover the maternity leave of the team’s instructional designer.
Position: 000008 Instructional Design Learning Developer
Location: Home-based, Nationwide, UK. However, occasional travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Salary: Circa £34,000 per annum (inner London weighting £3,950 per annum or outer London weighting £2,457 per annum may be applied in accordance with where you live)
Contract: This is a fixed-term 12-month maternity cover until August 2027

The Role
Reporting to the People Development and Resourcing Business Partner, the learning developer will design develop and deliver eLearning and other digital content to support the organisations core training needs.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and designing digital learning content through a full project lifecycle from gathering requirements through to evaluation.
- Maintaining and updating existing content based on feedback.
- Administering learning on our Learning management system (Kallidus Learn).
About You
You will have experience of:
- Shaping meaningful and engaging learning experiences.
- Developing a range of digital learning content (such as eLearning, videos and Informational resources).
- Communicating with stakeholders positively and regularly.
To fulfil the role, you must be a resident of the UK and have the right to work in the UK.

You will support the delivery of the People & Culture plan, ensuring the organisation has the capability, culture and capacity to achieve its strategic objectives.
You will act as a trusted partner to SMT, translating organisational priorities into people solutions and driving a high-performance, values-led culture.
Based: Hybrid (ideally 2 days in office) The Grange, Saunderton, Princes Risborough.
Contract: Fixed term until 31 December 2026.
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week (part-time applications considered, min. 3 days per week).
Key Activities
- Lead, coach and develop the People team, line managing the People Business Partner and People Operations Manager, to deliver quality people services across the employee lifecycle
- Lead workforce planning aligned to organisational strategy and service delivery needs
- Provide expert HR advice and guidance on complex ER, risk and organisational change
- Oversee recruitment strategy and employer brand
- Ensure compliance with employment law, safeguarding and regulatory requirements
- Use people data and insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement
- Develop organisational approach to pay progression and employee benefits
- Lead on the development of a new EDI strategy
Customer and Service Delivery Expectations
- Leading and developing the People Experience function (made up of People Business Partnering and People Operations teams) to be high performing
- Timely, pragmatic and risk-aware HR advice

About the role
The HR and Operations Manager is responsible for managing the employee lifecycle and core operational functions at CASPA.
The role ensures that HR and operational processes are efficient, compliant, and accessible.It also has a strategic focus on user experience in a neurodiverse organisation.

Maintain accurate HR systems so all our date is up to date and GDPR compliant.

Manage monthly payroll and pension processing.

Provide clear, practical HR advice, guidance, and support to managers and staff on employee relations and workplace issues

Lead staff wellbeing, engagement, and development to promote a positive workplace culture.

Help deliver important infrastructure projects.

Keep processes running smoothly so our teams can focus on supporting our members and staff.

Salary Band: £26,590.64 per annum
Contract Type: 12 month fixed-term contract with potential to extend
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Working Pattern:28 hours per week.
Location: Able to work at CASPA's Oakley House Bromley office on Mondays and/or Tuesdays with hybrid-working flexibility for remaining hours.
