About the role:

This is a great time to be joining MAG as we unveil a new five-year organisational strategy and an ambitious fundraising strategy to transform our income across the UK, US and globally. We are looking for a motivated individual who is inspired to raise vital funds and create a fantastic supporter experience for our donors in the UK and US.

As part of the Global Fundraising Team, the Digital Fundraising and Engagement Officer will support the delivery of MAG’s digital fundraising, campaigns and engagement activity to drive online action and engagement with target audiences. You will help develop compelling calls to action which have the power to mobilise support, help grow our digital channels and grow and establish audiences. This is an opportunity to work in a growing and high priority area at MAG with the ability to make a real impact on our digital engagement within the entire Global Fundraising Team.

About you:

We are looking for an exceptional Digital Fundraising and Engagement Officer to join our dynamic and successful Fundraising team. The successful candidate will have demonstratable experience of creating marketing content. You will be self-motivated, creative and have the ability to produce digital content which is instantly engaging and has both an emotional and intellectual punch. The role holder will have experience in using the latest social media trends and developments in order to manage and grow online communities and to engage as well as implementing digital plans that expand our reach, impact and income.

The successful candidate will be pro-active and have excellent communication skills. You will be expected to work across our fundraising team, helping to develop and strengthen digital engagement across all relevant online platforms. This will require excellent interpersonal skill and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues throughout the organisation.

We are looking for a motivated, creative, and organised Engagement and Communications Officer to join our team. This role is a unique opportunity for someone with a passion for building a fairer legal system through impactful events, engaging member outreach, and powerful communications. Working alongside the Director of Development and the Head of Communications, this role will work across teams to maintain and strengthen engagement through events, communications and corporate outreach. You will play an integral role in communicating our work as widely as possible and improving and increasing engagement with our supporters, including our members, donors and corporate partners.

The Engagement and Communications Officer will work to maximise income and support for JUSTICE through events (approximately 45% of the role), communications (approximately 30% of the role) and membership (approximately 25% of the role). They will report to the Director of Development and Head of Communications.

We want someone who can learn and grow in this role so if you don’t have every skill listed but are organised, motivated, and interested in our work then we want to hear from you.

The JUSTICE team currently work in a hybrid manner. Staff members have access to office space in London, however, attendance is currently optional. Deputy Director

1. Background and Purpose

The Deputy Director works in close partnership with the Executive Director (ED) to enhance the work of the small, dynamic secretariat team to create more momentum across its network. This new role will be instrumental in delivering on the strategic objectives and securing sustainable funding through its continued evolution. The person will be responsible for connecting the various programmatic areas of work quality assurance and impact, capacity support and its new country level work. They will guide planning processes to be able to track and analyse our impact. They will leverage the knowledge of the team to seek new opportunities for ensuring the Alliance delivers on its mission. They will be instrumental in developing and implementing long-term plans and processes that can bring new levels of success for the organisation.

2. Main Duties and Responsibilities

Guide and facilitate the team’s delivery of the CHS Alliance strategy:

· Work with the ED on delivering the strategy to position CHS Alliance as a network driving system change for greater accountability to people in crisis, creating relationships within teams and externally to influence change across the global humanitarian sector.

· Develop processes to support the team track progress on how we are meeting our objectives so they can be clearly communicated and analysed to continue to deliver on the ambitions of the Alliance’s strategy.

· Facilitate a strong culture of organisational collaboration to achieve goals and objectives; developing a framework that support the team’s cohesion in delivering the goals of the organisation to create greater impact.

· Provide oversight of the funding needs and priorities and support strong proposal development and compliance with donor funding and guide decisions on how to allocate and manage resources.

· Work closely with the ED, to establish and execute a fundraising plan to achieve the strategy and workplan of the CHS Alliance, including donor intelligence.

· Provide support to ensure staff can complete their responsibilities to their highest potential.

· Initiate programmes and activities that are resourced and effective and efficient as possible.

External partnerships & donor engagement:

· Stay abreast of emerging trends in the volatile context of humanitarian action and provide strategic thought leadership on the dynamic and shifting priorities and what it means for the Alliance network.

· Work closely with the ED to create a strong donor advocacy and engagement plan that goes beyond fundraising to work with donors as drivers of accountability.

· In coordination with the rest of the Alliance team, engage with external stakeholders to build and maintain relationships contributing to the CHS Alliance strategic objectives.

· Work closely across the teams to keep abreast of the Alliance members’ needs to meet the CHS commitments.

· Actively seek opportunities for partnerships to advance the CHS Alliance Strategic Plan (e.g. with members, academia, coordination bodies like the IASC, or other key stakeholders).

· Promote the CHS and the work of the CHS Alliance through relevant social media channels or platforms, through conference presentations and through workshops or other events.

· Represent CHS Alliance and its positions at meetings, speaking engagements or through opinion pieces. Assist the CHS Alliance to influence policy in the sector.

· Act as the public face of the CHS Alliance, along with the ED, to promote its mission and purpose.

3. Profile

Role Title: OISC Level 2 Immigration Advisor

Shropshire Supports Refugees (SSR) is a charitable organisation dedicated to supporting refugees and marginalised migrants who have come to live in Shropshire.

In this role, you’ll support the Longview team to effectively deploy over $10m per year to reduce the risk of a major global catastrophe, such as a nuclear war between great powers, an engineered pandemic, or the misuse of advanced artificial intelligence. Your work will enable Longview to operate more effectively and nimbly, and you’ll support a team working on high-impact grantmaking.

Key Information

Role: The Operations Analyst will support our operations, events, executive and grantmaking teams by managing our office, coordinating meetings, setting meeting agendas, and supporting other operations processes within Longview.

Location: London, UK (working full-time from Longview’s East London office). We may be able to sponsor a UK work visa for this position.

Starting Salary: c. £35,000-40,000 p.a. We may be able to offer a higher starting salary, depending on the successful candidate’s experience and skills.

Responsibilities

The Operations Analyst will support the Longview Philanthropy executive, grantmaking, operations, and events teams. Approximately 40% of their time will be spent on office management tasks and 60% on generalist-type operations tasks (depending on the successful candidate’s specific skills and professional development goals):

• Meeting preparation and coordination
  • Creating meeting agendas for senior staff (CEO, COO & Programme Leads) and sharing them ahead of time

Reprieve is a UK charity founded in 1999. Reprieve uses strategic interventions to end the use of the death penalty globally, and to end extreme human rights abuses carried out in the name of “counterterrorism” or “national security”.

 Reprieve works with the most disenfranchised people in society, as it is in their cases that human rights are most swiftly jettisoned and the rule of law is cast aside.  Reprieve’s main office is in Aldgate, London, UK. Reprieve also supports full-time Fellows, who work as lawyers, investigators and campaigners in the countries in which we work. About this role

The Digital Acquisition Officer is a key member of the Mass Engagement team and part of the wider Development team. The Mass Engagement team exists to raise awareness of Reprieve’s work, shift public opinion and to inspire support. Your role will be to engage members of the public, grow the Reprieve’s community and help establish our supporter base.

It is an exciting time for our team, as we launch their first mass engagement strategy to promote the long-term growth of the programme. Digital fundraising boomed between 2020 and 2021 but has faced challenges in 2022 and 2023. As we launch our new strategy, we are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual, keen to try new things and learn through testing, excited about communicating Reprieve’s work to our supporters and inspiring them to donate.

You will be key to the acquisition of new supporters, leading on developing and managing lead generation across our platforms, building paid for and organic content, and developing new and innovative ways to engage supporters with the support of the Head of Digital and Mass Engagement.

As a small team we have a collaborative and “all hands on deck” approach, ready to step in and support each other. This means at times you will support on our retention and stewardship work, as well as helping the wider Development Team when needed.

You will share our commitment to fighting racism and advancing racial justice, as well as help craft comms that can take supporters with us on this work whilst ensuring we do this in a way that does not compound racist structures.

Contract, location and salary

This is a full-time, fixed term 18 month contract with the possibility of extension dependent on funding. The salary is £40,964 plus up to 5% employee matched pension contribution.

The post holder will be flexible and skilled, with an essential interest in and experience of working with migrant and refugee clients, many of whom have additional complex needs. You will work closely with our immigration caseworker manager to provide one-to-one specialist immigration advice and casework to migrant and refugee clients in Brighton & Hove and across East and West Sussex in the areas of immigration & asylum up to OISC L2. We are currently the only free, Level 2-accredited, year-round provider of out-of-scope immigration advice on the South Coast, and increasing local immigration capacity is critical to address growing demand and changing demographics in the region. Our current core caseload is largely non-EEA nationals whose immigration cases are out of scope of legal aid. However we are also seeing and will continue to see new arrivals and emerging needs in the region including Afghans resettled under the ARAP and ACRS schemes, Sudanese evacuees, EEA nationals who still have not registered for pre-settled or settled status, and an increasing number of both newly arrived and established asylum seekers placed in emergency (‘contingency’) and dispersal Home Office accommodation.

The balance of time spent between different client groups and cases will therefore need to be responsive to the changes we see in the city and region. Many of our clients also have complex additional needs including health and homelessness and the post holder will be expected to liaise closely with our generalist caseworkers and external providers to ensure that people’s holistic needs are met.

You will work as part of a small, supportive advice and casework team that also includes two generalist advice caseworkers, an employability caseworker, a groupwork facilitator and four dedicated resettlement caseworkers who are supporting newly resettled refugee families mainly from Syria and Afghanistan.

Regular supervision and support and in-house and on-the-job training will be provided, as well as external training on specific issues where needed. However you will need to be ready to step immediately into a busy advice environment with the necessary confidence, skills and knowledge to begin to deliver advice and casework and pick up an existing caseload.

Ideally you will already be OISC L2-accredited, but if only L1-accredited you must be willing to work towards accreditation within the 6-month probationary period.

The Role: 

The Chief Officer will lead and manage Citizens Advice St Helens (CASH) while developing and implementing strategic and operational plans. Responsible for delivering strategic development through the effective management and development of services, the Chief Officer will build strong and sustainable relationships with key stakeholders at a strategic, national, regional, and local level. 

They will work collaboratively with the staff team and board to ensure there is an inclusive, rights-based approach to work that also conforms with the requirements of the Charity Commission, Companies House and HMRC. The Chief Officer is responsible for the economic viability, financial welfare, and sustainability of the charity, as well as driving and nurturing the staff team to continue delivering quality standards across the organisation. 

To be considered for the Chief Officer role at CASH, you must be a proven leader and manager with experience working within a senior management team. This role will require someone with a demonstrable track record of innovation and success in business development and income generation, able to engage funding bodies and donors, as well as creating strong and successful content for winning contracts/grants. Your experience will be underpinned by excellent communication skills at both a strategic level within and outside the organisation, coupled with excellent resourcing methods. 

In a senior leadership role, it's typical to hold budgetary responsibility and possess broad financial management experience. Considering the nature of Citizens Advice St Helens' work, we expect you to have a comprehensive understanding of the advice sector and experience with equity, diversity, and inclusion best practices. Additionally, you must demonstrate an awareness and understanding of the issues faced by residents in St Helens, such as poverty, unemployment, and health challenges. These issues are not unique to St Helens but are encountered across the UK, and we welcome applications from individuals with experience addressing similar issues in other regions.

Responsibilities

This is what the role might entail

Working alongside CRIN’s Creative Directors and communications team, you will:

• Write engaging and accessible copy for CRIN’s channels (website, social and digital platforms)

• Manage the communications campaigns and digital strategies for CRIN’s projects, events and activities;

• Manage content for our digital platforms in a variety of formats (illustrations, videos, audio and written pieces);

• Develop a new social media strategy and manage our social media channels

• Implement a shift in approach to CRIN’s Instagram, fully weaving it into how we communicate about our work and with our audience — beyond stats and followers — to build a community where there is mutual learning;

• Coordinate tasks for our Digital Designer and Graphic Designer as required;

• Manage CRIN’s newsletter, sending out regular news and updates to our mailing list;

• Manage website maintenance and ensure that key pages on CRIN’s website are kept up to date and search engine friendly;

The Helen Bamber Foundation (HBF) is a specialist UK charity which provides expert care and support for refugees and people seeking asylum who have experienced extreme human cruelty such as torture or human trafficking. The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Client Services Team which operates within HBF’s vibrant, multi-disciplinary team. The duties of Client Services Administrator are two-fold 1) is to host our busy reception area and friendly waiting room; welcome clients and visiting professionals to the Helen Bamber Foundation and attend to any needs they might have and 2) to oversee the booking of appointments between clients and staff/volunteers across the organisation; liaising with third parties and clinicians in relation to Initial Assessments; booking and managing doctor’s diaries for our Medical Advisory Services and the booking of interpreters across the organisation. National LGBT+ Independent Victim Advocate

Do you want to make life better for LGBT+ victims and survivors of abuse?

Galop works directly with thousands of LGBT+ people who have experienced abuse and violence every year. We specialise in supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence, hate crime, and other forms of abuse including honour-based abuse, forced marriage, and so-called conversion therapies. We are a service run by LGBT+ people, for LGBT+ people, and the needs of our community are at the centre of what we do.

We run three national support helplines for LGBT+ victims and survivors of domestic abuse, so-called “conversion therapy, ”and hate crime. We provide advocacy services, both in London and nationally, for LGBT+ victims who need longer-term support. We are person-centred, empowerment-based, and trauma-informed – meaning our focus is always on helping our clients decide what is best for them, and then supporting them through their journey.

We use what we learn through working on the frontlines with clients to work on national and local policy change, to improve outcomes for LGBT+ victims and survivors of abuse and violence. We build evidence through key pieces of research, like our upcoming report into LGBT+ experiences of sexual violence. We push for legislative change, improved statutory guidance for victims, and better understanding of the needs of LGBT+ people around the country. 

About the role

You will be joining our growing national advocacy team, supporting survivors remotely across the UK and providing Face-to-face support, office based, or community-based support in Wales which will be 
delivered in the context of a confidential and a safe space for survivors. You will work directly with LGBT+ victims/survivors, offering them a space to talk and think through options, helping them plan what they want to do, and offering assistance in getting what they need from services. Your work will focus on needs specifically related to experiences of abuse or violence, including issues such as wellbeing, support with the criminal and civil justice process, safety and access to other services to enable survivors to cope and recover. You will be empathetic and thoughtful in your approach to understanding your clients’ needs, while maintaining boundaries and mindful of self-care.

Providing advice, advocacy and support to LGBT+ victims/survivors of abuse and violence, with a focus on so-called conversion practices, which will include:

• Remotely supporting, advising and advocating for a national caseload of LGBT+ people who have been subjected to abuse or violence. The focus of the support will be to LGBT+ victims/survivors of so-called conversion practices
• Ensuring your approach to contact with clients is trauma-informed, empowerment-based and person-centred.
• Providing information and support to enable clients to make informed choices and meet their individual needs.
• Assisting victims/survivors in dealing with the diverse impacts of harm and abuse (safety, emotional, social, financial, or practical).
• Assisting/supporting clients in navigating the criminal/civil justice systems, ensuring they are aware of their rights and options.

About you
