About the role

As Finance Officer, you will contribute to effective financial management and accounting for the Bangladesh Country Office, ensuring compliance with local regulations and Sightsavers’ policies. You will manage accurate bookkeeping, budgeting, reporting, and forecasting, while supporting partner organisations with financial oversight and capacity building. The role also involves preparing donor reports, monitoring project expenditure, and maintaining strong financial controls to support organisational objectives.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cash flow forecasts, monthly fund requests, and ensure timely uploads to accounting systems such as SUN/UniFi.
• Process approved expenditures with correct coding, maintain systematic financial records, and ensure compliance with organisational and donor requirements.
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations, collect statements, and maintain accurate cash and bank records.
• Manage payroll and employee benefits, ensuring timely payments and proper bookkeeping.
• Support partners with budgeting, reforecasting, and preparation of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Review and approve fund requests, monitor partner budgets, and conduct variance analysis to identify and address discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing annual country and project budgets, reforecasts, and draft financial statements for audits and donor reporting.
• Maintain fixed asset registers, conduct physical verification, and ensure compliance with tax, VAT, and income tax return submissions.
• Conduct financial monitoring visits to partner organisations, provide feedback, and support capacity building in financial processes and compliance.
• Prepare consolidated financial reports for donor requirements, ensuring deadlines are met and data integrity maintained.
• Ensure systematic maintenance of hard and soft financial files and records, including staff provident fund documentation and investments.
• Support overall financial control of the country office, ensuring adherence to organisational policies, legal frameworks, and donor guidelines.

Jobholder Requirements

Essential

• Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Management, Business Administration) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Experience working in NGOs/INGOs with responsibility for financial management.
• Experience managing donor funds and project accounting, including partner financial oversight.
• Strong knowledge of accounting processes and data management.
• Understanding of tax and VAT regulations in Bangladesh.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Strong communication skills in English and Bangla.

Desirable

• Familiarity with organisational procedures, donor compliance, and financial frameworks.
• Knowledge of NGOAB requirements and government compliance.
• Experience in financial monitoring and capacity building for partners.
• Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to team performance.

About the Roles

We are looking for five proactive, empathetic professionals to join our new team of Regional Advisors, delivering personalised support to clergy helping them with day-to-day financial wellbeing matters, and retirement planning. 

Working across Dioceses operating in your region, you will lead local engagement with clergy through structured one-to-one conversations, events and outreach, helping to connect individuals with expert advice, guidance, products and services that support their current and future financial plans. 

As a key point of contact for individuals and dioceses in your area, you’ll champion the needs and experiences of clergy—feeding insight into service improvements. What you'll be doing

In this role, you will proactively engage clergy across a defined geographical area, with matters of financial wellbeing, and future retirement planning (inclusive of housing)  Your initial focus, will be in offering structured one-to-one conversations to clergy in the decade or so before retirement about their future plans, helping to build confidence about what the future might hold, and connecting people to the right information, products, specialists or local support, which would help their plans. You will also co-design and run local events and learning sessions at key life stages with groups, supported by building strong relationships with diocesan teams. To do this well, you will need to build local networks, and work closely with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to escalate complex welfare or regulated financial matters.

Summary

The NCIs are embarking on a strategic initiative to plan and scope a new SharePoint solution. We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Project Manager to join on an initial 6-month Fixed Term Contract to lead the discovery, design, and early planning stages of this business-critical project. This role sits within the Technology Services department, reporting to the Head of IT Portfolio. We are a busy and close-knit team, working across the NCI's to deliver IT solutions and services, as well as project and programme delivery.

This role is central to designing a SharePoint framework that aligns with the needs of multiple departments-each with distinct workflows and operating models. Success will depend on tailoring the solution to these differences to drive adoption and deliver tangible business benefits.

As a Project Manager we expect you to plan, develop, deliver and implement IT and Business Change projects to time cost and quality through the whole project lifecycle. This will include business case and requirements definition support, extensive project planning, financial/budget management, project controls, governance tasks, monitoring, resource management, scope, procurement, 3rd party and stakeholder engagement, people management, reporting, facilitating project teams and project Boards and compliance with change operating models.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, scoping, and documentation phases of a new SharePoint solution across multiple business units.

Student Activities Coordinator (Events & Engagement) -Maternity Cover, Fixed Term

£32,440 gross per annum, 35.5 hours per week

The role

This role is part of the Student Activities department working collectively with colleagues delivering the Guild’s student groups, societies, activities and volunteering work as part the Engagement Directorate, whilst leading on on the development of engagement opportunities for growth within the organisation and in collaboration with university stakeholders.

The Student Activities Coordinator (Events and Engagement) role is to support the delivery of the Student Activities departmental plan, analysing engagement data and creating new engagement opportunities. Acting as a role model for the required standard of values, behaviour and performance, we expect Coordinators to help to create an inclusive and engaging environment for all.

The role will work with the Student Activities Manager to lead on the development and delivery of department outreach activities and events to increase engagement (e.g. Give It a Go)

The role will proactively target and engage all students in Guild related activities and events, including University led initiatives where applicable.

The role will analyse data and work closely with the Student Activities Manager to develop and deliver plans to grow student engagement including seeking and supporting new student groups.

Success in the role will require a highly student and customer focused approach together with an emphasis on teamwork. The role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a positive ambassador for the Guild and facilitating under-represented groups to find a comfortable place here.

Job purpose

This role will underpin the operation of our fundraising and membership programmes, with a mixture of public facing interactions and focused operational, database work.

Our long-standing membership scheme is an integral part of our fundraising at Action for ME, and we are fortunate to have a generous membership base of over 3,000 loyal supporters. You will be the main point of contact for our members, ensuring they feel valued and connected to our work, as well as supporting efforts to increase our current membership.

Key duties

Membership

• Be the main point of contact for our members and provide high quality stewardship over the phone, by email and by letter, always ensuring consistent and high-quality communication.
• Be responsible for delivering operational tasks relating to the membership scheme and improving their efficiency. Including, but not limited to, gift importing and processing, data administration, thanking members, processing renewals and sending out renewal reminders.

Individual Giving & Trading

• Assisting with the administration of our Winter and Spring raffles and Lottery programme.
