Through compelling design, you’ll connect students with opportunities, experiences and support that help them find their community, amplify their voice and make the most of university life.

As our Graphic Design Coordinator, you’ll join the Content & Engagement team, working with colleagues, our elected Student Officers and external partners to create engaging digital and print content.

What you’ll do

  • Create engaging, accessible and audience-focused designs for campaigns, events and services and student experience.

  • Work with colleagues to develop creative concepts and visual solutions that bring campaigns, events and student experiences to life.

  • Take projects from brief to completion, balancing priorities and deadlines.

  • Apply our visual identity consistently and support colleagues to use the JMSU brand effectively.

  • Coordinate print suppliers to deliver quality materials within agreed budgets.

  • Use feedback and audience insights to improve how we connect with students.

What we’re looking for

You’ll have sound experience of digital and print design, with a portfolio or examples showing your skills. You’ll be confident using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, or comparable tools, and understand layout, typography and visual hierarchy.

Accessibility will be central to your approach, and you’ll enjoy collaborating, explaining your ideas and responding to feedback.

We welcome skills developed through qualifications, training, practical experience or a combination of these. Experience with print suppliers, motion graphics, video editing or digital marketing campaigns would be a bonus.
